Chapter Eleven

Chapter Eleven: Phil's P.O.V.

It was Monday and Dan and I were walking to school, chatting as usual but we fall into comfortable silence almost the rest of the way.

"Phil ...?" Dan asks, out of the silence.

"Mhm?"

"Maybe ... maybe I should just hang with you guys today? I mean ... I have friends now ... and It was nice hanging out and everything ... so maybe, if it's alright, I could hang out." He asked, hesitantly. I smiled but frowned.

"What about before? You said-"

"I don't really care about the image anymore. Not if it means I get to spend time with you guys." He smiled shyly.

"Of course it's fine Dan, you shouldn't really have to ask." I chuckled, bringing him into a sideways hug, wrapping my arm around his shoulder and squeezing before letting go. He smiled and for once we walked together for the rest of the way.

We walked through the gates together and some people stared in shock but it didn't take long for them to dismiss it since they pretty much guessed we'd still be friends or whatever rumours they were spreading. PJ and Chris looked a little surprised at Dan walking up with me to their bench.

"Morning Phil, my my Daniel what are you doing here?" Chris teased.

"Am I not allowed to see my friends?" He grinned. PJ and Chris smiled back.

"Well we assumed things would go back to normal, you blanking us but sharing secret looks in the corridor and whatnot. What about your image Prince?" Chris teased.

"Ugh, who cares." Sighed Dan, flopping down comfortably next to me. I knew we were getting some stares because Dan was acting casual and no one had really seen under the hard exterior of what was Dan Howell.

We chatted as if we'd known each other forever and walked to class together. It felt a lot nicer having Dan by my side and talking to me rather than a secret smile at a distance. We only had one class together that morning but we made the most of it. Most people were shocked to see Dan's smile and laugh. I think some of the girls swooned at his dimples. Believe me ... I was that way before.

I think people are looking at me like I'm some miracle worker and there's hardly any nasty ones which is nice. Unfortunately I have heard the rumours start, most of the people have started saying we were secretly a couple. Luckily they didn't turn into anything horrible, only harmless "they're dating" or "i think they fancy each other" or "I think they've always been secretly friends" so not too bad.

I walked into the canteen to see Dan, Chris and PJ already at the table, laughing their asses off. I frowned, not because I didn't want them to laugh but because they were laughing at a picture and I hoped it wasn't an embarrassing one of me. Chris held a record for snapping pictures of me when I wasn't looking. He'd probably blackmail me one day!

I approached the table wearily. "What are you laughing at?" I asked suspiciously.

"Oh nothing, we started having a conversation about flying cows and I found a picture on the internet." PJ smiled. Phew! I nodded and sat down, shaking my head.

"You guys are strange." I smiled.

"Hey! You can talk!" Chris chuckled. We spent most of lunchtime joking around and getting into weird conversation, mainly about tumblr. Next the four of us set of the class, the one class of the week which we were all in. Chris and PJ took their seats at the back whilst Dan and I took the desk in front of them, turning our chairs slightly so we could keep conversation.

Suddenly the class quietened down a little and Dan and I turned to see the teacher walk in, only she wasn't alone. Two boys followed after her ... two attractive boys ... two boys who looked identical ... two boys who were twins by the looks of things.

They were pretty well built but skinny at the same time. One wore a white hoodie whilst the other wore a black one. They wore the same blue skinny jeans and white converse. They had palish skin and green-grey eyes which shone with mischief as they scanned the class happily. Their hair was styled slightly differently. One had shorter hair than the other, one was slightly quiff-ed and the other's lay more flatly on top of his head, both a toffee brown colour. I watched curiously with the others, they must be new!

"Afternoon class, this is Jack and Finn, they will be starting here and I want you to make them feel welcome, thank you." Our teacher, Mrs Pennycook informed us and waved her hand to tell the boys they could choose a seat.

Guess what ... the only empty desk was next to Dan and I. I was sitting the closest though which meant I might have to make conversation. They were attractive, yes, but I was useless when it came to new people. I watched as they approached the desk but turned round to face Dan, PJ and Chris who were also watching.

"So new people." I said, snapping them from their gaze.

"Attractive new people." Chris pointed out. PJ glared at him but Chris smiled and pecked his nose. "Obviously not as attractive as you dear." He chuckled. PJ smiled.

"I know but you are right, they're pretty yummy. I wonder which girl will snatch them up first!" He gossiped making us chuckle.

"What about you Phil? Think you've found a boy toy?" Chris teased. I glared at him and smacked him over the head. I rolled my eyes and looked at Dan who glanced at PJ who gave him a sort of weird look back.

"You guys okay?" I asked them. They looked at me, smiled and nodded.

"Hey there." A voice said behind me. I froze and hesitated before turning around. I saw both twins sitting in the seats across from us, giving us bright smiles. They were pretty adorable ... not as adorable as Dan though! Shit! Stop it Phil, bad!

"Hey." Chris started, being the most confident out of all of us.

"I'm Jack and this is Finn by the way, I'm the better looking one so you won't get too mixed up." He joked and Finn whacked him round the head.

"And I'm the older one who always wears black so you shouldn't mix us up too much." Finn smiled sweetly.

"Nice to meet you, I'm PJ, this is Chris, Dan and Phil." PJ smiled back politely. Their eyes scanned all of us, I felt slightly uncomfortable as Jack's eyes lingered on me for a moment.

"Nice to meet you, so is this place any good? I hope so." Jack smiled.

"It's good enough, nice environment ... nice enough anyway." Chris smiled. Dan and I still haden't spoken yet, I didn't think Dan would since I know what he's like with new people but I couldn't find words to say. I wasn't very good with other people either.

Despite this they kept up conversation throughout the lesson and Dan and I joined in once or twice but not too much. I didn't feel very comfortable with them around ... as selfish as it sounds I wanted my friends to myself, I didn't want anyone else to join despite how nice the twins were.

Oh well, lets see how things go.
