Chapter 29

*Percy pov*

I snarled viciously, snapped the watery chains and launched myself at Poseidon, aiming my claws directly for his throat. Luckily enough for him he reacted just in time and used his trident that he materialized from the morning mist and blocked my attack.

I propelled myself back from him, using my weight and strength to offset his balance, effectively landing smoothly and a considerate distance from him. He stumbled backwards, and I used that opportunity to strike again.

I pushed off of the ground, leaving behind a large crater on the ground, and swung my claws at him fully unsheathed and speaking blood. He prepared to block my blow but at the last moment I ducked low and changed my target to his gut. I slashed at his stomach, leaving behind tattered clothing and claw marks on his skin that left him leaking golden ichor like a fountain from the wound.

Poseidon gritted his teeth together in silent pain and swung his trident downward in an attempt to skewer my body. Attempt failed. I swiftly evaded the attack and left a nice little set of claw marks on his trident.

Settling back into an offensive position back in my previous spot in the now smoking crater, I stood in wait for him to make the next move. As much as I wanted his blood and guts to splatter on the camps ground it wouldn't feel as good if he didn't fight back.

"Come on you so called god of water,  fight back!" I called. As soon as I said that guess what I saw in his eyes, HESITATION. As if this god wasn't already used to cold-blooded killing.

He shook his head, and that was what set me off. I launched myself at him and didn't even bother pulling my punches, just as I was about to give him a permanent face lift a silver enveloped me and I was restrained, with my arms pinned to my sides and a muzzle formed around my mouth.  I was levitated in the air and yanked away from the beaten god, lying crumpled on the floor. Artemis stepped forward,"you can't kill him yet".

I snarled angrily as she gave her verdict.

"Who are you to tell me what I can and cannot do?! You know what he did! You know what I had had to suffer through because of this waste of godly manifestation."

Artemis frowned.

"Percy you're letting your emotions take control of you-"

"No!" I snarled, "you should know damn well enough that these actions are warranted. You and all of the other gods know what he did more than anyone else here apart from Renesmee."

"Perseus I-" Poseidon began but I didn't give him a chance to finish.

"Shut up!" I shouted.

"Shut up! Shut up! Shut up! Just be quiet and sit there because the moment I get out of these I am going to reach into your chest and rip out your heart and eat it In front of you. So just you wait!" Artemis snapped her fingers and I was immediately dropped to the ground, while more chains encircled my body binding me to the ground.

"You will do no such thing Perseus we will handle this matter civilly on Olympus", she turned to Poseidon,"you have no privilege to touch nor speak to Perseus during the session unless you are given the right of and if you break even one of these rules I will personally turn you into a deer and let loose a pack of ravenous hellhounds on you. Do you understand?" Poseidon still white with shock shakily nodded his head.

Zeus finally stepped forward after a long pregnant silence filled with my underlying growls.

"We shall be taking our leave now. Chiron" He called. The surrounding crowd parted like the red Sea as Chiron stepped forward.

"Yes my lord?"

"We will be taking out deviant children with us, once they return give them the duty of doing all the chores around the camp until we say otherwise. Is that understood?"

"Yes, my lord." Chiron bowed once more to Zeus before turning back to the crowd of silent demi-gods.

"Return to whatever activity you had been involved in before you came here. The show is now over." The crowds groaned but complied. Bunch of sheep! Zeus nodded to Artemis, and with snap of her fingers we were all transported to Olympus in a show of blindingly bright light. Just seconds before the godly auras covered our skin and vanished us away Renesmee made sure she was coming with us in a burst of speed that would make Hermes himself sweat and situated herself on my back.

My eyes that had squeezed themselves shut in reflex eased themselves open and gave me view to the sight of the gods seated before me in their thrones.

" Now, " Zeus began, smiling, "let's get to business." If that wasn't threatening enough the ominous clap of thunder and flash of light behind him did the trick.
