Aphmau's POV
*Play Song*
"He's said he'd be here at 3:00 right?" Katelyn checks again, glancing at her bronze wristwatch to observe the time.
Aaron nods, leaning against the living room wall, watching me sit in a ball on the couch, slowly rocking back and forth.
I keep shaking my head back and forth, it causing a slight headache for me.
"It can't be.........." I whisper, my breath taken away.
I don't ever remember seeing my father......
My mom said he died when I was very young, and she never told me how he passed......
Apparently it was rather tragic.....
I always accepted the fact he was gone.....and that I didn't have a father.....
But now.......
He's alive.......
And its been officially confirmed its him.......
And he's coming over now.....
Aaron and I still haven't told anyone about Falcon Cliff.....
And its been a few weeks since the phone call Aaron received.......
Aaron comes over to me, wrapping his arm around me, letting me lean into the side of his chest, the sarong wrapped around my bald head from radiation, rubbing against his hoodie.
Then the door bell rings, the sound echoing throughout our minds.
Katelyn heads over to the main door, answering it, exchanging a bit of conversation before coming back into the my view, being followed by a tall man, with raven hair and tanned skin.
My eyes widen, my face frozen in shock.
Its...him......
Katelyn gestures for him to sit in a recliner in front of Aaron and I.
The man takes off his coat, hanging it on the coat rack, like he's done it 1000 times before.
He then comes over to sit in the recliner, smiling at me.
I was silent, still too shocked to say anything....
"You have your mother's eyes" He observes, his expression kind.
"She said you were dead....." I shake my head slightly.
"Pardon?" His eyes concerned.
"My mother said you died......." I say a bit louder, sitting up from Aaron's chest.
"Aph....." Aaron starts, but I ignore him.
"And all this time.....you've been alive?" I ask, my voice slightly breaking.
He doesn't respond, guilt in his eyes.
"All this time......when my mother....was dying of a terminal illness!" I shout, my nostrils flaming, standing up slowly.
"Please...I..." He starts, but I don't let him.
"You didn't even send flowers for her funeral......." My tone dropping, my fists clenching.
"You didn't even come......to see her off....."
Everyone was staring at me, sympathy in their eyes.
"What did you do then? Huh?"
He knits his eyebrows together, confused.
"What terrible thing, happened between you and my mother, that made you leave her all alone, with brain cancer?" I inquire, hostility laced in my voice.
He finally speaks.
"My dear, nothing terrible happened between your mother and I, its what happened to us, that tore us apart"
I slowly sit back down, listening.
"You have every right to be mad at me, but I never did anything to your mother or you" He sighs.
"Then what happened?" I plead, literally dying to know.
"We were a happy family you know, living in O'kasis, until one of my I once-believed-friends ruined it all" His voice goes momentarily dark, frightening me a bit.
Aaron seems a bit thrown off, his body tense.
He continues.
"He asked me over to his house once, and when I got there, he was furious, apparently I cheated him out of one of his real estate opportunities, and he started yelling at me, anger in his eyes, then his eyes turned red, and when he looked at me with his eyes, I felt pain I have never felt before. It stung every nerve and made it feel like it was on fire. I eventually passed out from the pain. Next thing I knew, I woke up in the hospital, with werewolf features, and your mother sitting next to my hospital bed. I was so weak from pain, and I told her to take you and leave O'kasis, and never look back. I didn't want the same thing to happen to either one of you."
I gasp, covering my mouth.
Aaron was looking away, his face blank.
"I haven't seen your mother since, and I only found out recently she had died of the cancer, and that you had it as well."
I was silent, biting my lip, trying to stifle my sobs.
"I'm so sorry I wasn't there your whole childhood, and throughout your mother's death, but I just never kept contact and thought it better to stay away, to keep you guys safe" He explains.
"Pardon me sir but, what was your friend's name?" Aaron asks, his voice low.
"Derek Lycan, that bastard" The man responds, anger in his voice.
"Wait.....Lycan?" I look to Aaron, panic in my eyes.
Aaron looked somewhat pained, meeting my gaze, sighing.
"He must know....." Aaron whispers to me, grazing my cheek with his fingertips.
"I must know what?" The man asks, somewhat suspicious.
"Sir, my name is Aaron Lycan, and my father, is Derek Lycan......"
"Aaron....no....." I plead, but he continues.
No......
This ain't good.
Have a nice day my crystals!
