I saw a green light and I closed my eyes as I heard her drop. I peaked through the crack into door and covered my mouth as I saw my mother's body on the ground. I watched as he walked over to her body and smirk.

"Find the girl." He ordered.

More men walked into the room and I felt tears stream down my face as I pulled Gregory against me.

"It's okay.... I promise I will protect you." I whispered as I hugged him.

I watched as they started to the closet and I picked Gregory up.

"Keep your eyes closed." I whispered.

He closed his eyes and I pulled my wand out. When they went to open the door I held a breath out and then I let it out.

"Stupefy!" I screamed.

He went backwards and I ran past him. I rushed out of my house and ran down the road. I held onto Gregory tightly and started to run faster. Soon I was out of breath and I had made it to a house not to far. I banged on the door and soon it opened.

"A man is after us! He is trying to kill us!" I exclaimed.

The woman pulled me inside and slammed the door shut. Soon she cast a spell on the house and I held my brother tightly.

"I want mommy!" Gregory whined.

"I know.... I know." I whispered as I held him.

Soon the ministry had arrived and the woman told them everything.

"Is there anyone we can call?" She asked softly.

"My dad is Percy Scamander...... you can call him or.... or my Uncle Newt." I said softly.

"My name is Euphemia.... Euphemia Potter." She said softly.

"Do... do you know James Potter?" I asked softly.

"He is my son. Are you a friend of his?" She asked softly.

"Yes..."

"He is on his way here wit his friends. The ministry is going to get your father and I'll message your uncle." She said softly.

She walked away and I looked down at Gregory. I saw that he was asleep and I smiled softly as I held him gently.

"I have a bed for your brother." She said as she walked back into the room.

"Thank you." I said softly.

She showed me the room and I laid Gregory down. After awhile I heard people talking and I walked down the stairs to see James and the others. When Remus met my eyes I felt tears stream down my face. James and Sirius finally noticed me and I felt the tears fall faster as Sirius spoke up.

"Alana?" He said questioningly.

"He killed my mother." I whispered as my knees started to give out.

Before Sirius could move Remus was at my side and had me in his arm. I felt the tears stream down my face as I started crying. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly. Sirius looked at me sadly and James left the room to send Lily and Severus a letter. I clung to Remus and he rubbed my back as I cried.

"It's alright.... you are safe. I promise I won't let anything happen to you." He whispered as he hugged me.

After awhile my father arrived with my uncle and I froze as I saw Thomas walk into the room. I pulled away from Remus and ran up to him. He wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tightly.

"Thank Merlin you are safe." He whispered as he hugged me.

"He killed mom." I whispered.

"I know.... I know." He said softly.

"Where is Gregory?" Dad asked softly.

"Upstairs asleep." Mrs. Potter said softly.

"I'll go get him." Newt said as he walked away.

"Do you know who did this?" Theseus asked softly.

I shook my head no and he let out a sigh.

"Why did you tell all of the professors at Hogwarts to keep my grandfather a secret?" I asked quietly.

"Now is hardly the time."

"Why? I have a right to know." I said angrily.

"Because I don't think your grandfather had a right to be in your life. He told us when we took your father that he would visit.... he never did. He didn't want to be apart of your life and... and he doesn't deserve to have the title." He said softly.

I nodded my head and soon we left for Uncle Newt's house and I fell asleep beside my Aunt Tina. When I woke up it was to Gregory crying. I stood up and gently picked him up and rocked him back and forth.

"Hey." A voice said.

I turned to see Thomas and I sent him a small smile.

"I talked to dad... he wants you staying here when he is at work. I'm going to be in your life a lot more.... both of you." He said softly.

I nodded my head and he let out a sigh.

"I'm sorry I wasn't there..... I wish I could of protected you."

"I saw it.... in my dreams.... I saw mom die, but.... but I thought maybe it wouldn't happen.... that it was a nightmare...... it wasn't." I said as I put Gregory down.

"It isn't your fault. You couldn't save her...." He said sadly.

I nodded my head and felt tears stream down my face as I started to cry. He pulled me into a hug and I started crying. I soon fell asleep and when I woke up I was laying beside Thomas in Gregory's room. I let out a sigh and walked out and saw a owl with six letters. I grabbed them and saw that they where from, Remus, Severus, Sirius, Lily, James, and Peter. I smiled as I opened Peters first and then read the others.

I heard about what happen. If you need anything I'm here.

My parents wanted me to tell you if you ever needed anything to send us a letter. Same for me. If you ever need me I'll be there.

I just got James' letter I am so sorry. I wish there is something I could say to help. If you need anything I'm here.

Dear future wife,

I really wish I could be there for you. I am so sorry that happen to you. If you need me just send a letter and I'll be there in a flash.

I'm sorry that your dream came true..... I talked to my mother and she said I could come visit you. Just give me a day you want to talk and I'll be there in a flash.

Severus

Dear Alana,

I know I shouldn't write to you, but I am. I am so sorry about what happen. If you ever need me I'll be there. I know we got into a fight before we left school, but I want you to know I don't hate you..... I was just a little upset. If you ever need me, just send me a message.

Remus

I felt tears stream down my face as I put the letters away and walked into the kitchen.
