It was finally our sixth year and I was becoming exhausted from dealing with Lily and Severus.

"Lily please talk to him." I begged.

"No, I'm done with Severus Snape and I could care less what happens to him." She said angrily.

"Lily!" I whined as she walked away.

I let out a sigh and walked away from her. I spotted Remus walking into the library and I followed him. I plopped down beside him and let out a groan.

"What's wrong?" He asked softly.

"Lily still hates Severus. It has been a full year and I don't know what to do. They both are my friends." I said sadly.

"Follow me." He said as he grabbed my hand.

I smiled as we made it to the whomping willow and he covered my eyes with his tie.

"Why are you blindfolding me?" I asked softly.

"Just trust me." He said softly.

Soon we walked down some steps and then up some. After awhile he removed the tie and I gasped as I looked around.

"Are we in the Shrieking shack?" I asked as I looked around.

"To clear your mind."

"Isn't this place suppose to be haunted?" I asked with a smirk.

"Don't worry I'll protect you." He said softly.

"Oh I believe you will." I said with a laugh.

We started to look around and I went to walk up the stairs only to fall backwards when the step broke. I fell backwards and felt a pair of arms around me. I turned and looked up and met Remus' eyes.

"Sorry." I said softly.

"Don't be." He whispered.

I watched him move towards me and before our lips could touch, I moved away from him.

"Um..... We should go.... we have classes soon." I said softly.

"Yea." He said softly.

We left and made our way back to the school. We made it to Potions and I set beside him. After class was over I left and rushed to my room.

"You okay?" Lily asked softly.

"Remus almost kissed me." I said as I hid my face.

"What! Oh my Merlin! Tell me about it! Now details!" Lily ordered.

"I was upset about you and Severus not being friends. Told him and he took me to the Shrieking Shack. I fell and he caught me..... and while he held me he moved in to kiss me and I pulled away." I said as I hid my face in the pillow.

"Why? You said you love him so why pull away?" She asked shocked.

"Because I'm scared! I've never liked anyone as much as I like him and now.... now with all of this going on I'm scared.... what if I make the wrong move and he doesn't feel the same way. What if Sirius hates us? What if-"

"Stop thinking of the what if's and think of the could be's. Like Sirius could be happy for you. Remus could be madly in love with you."

"I can't lose him..... I love him to much." I said sadly.

"It will be fine. I promise." She said softly.

I nodded my head and let out a sigh as I looked at the ceiling. The weeks passed by quickly and soon I started to spend most of my time ignoring Remus. I thought I puked keep it up, but I ended up getting caught by James.

"Okay spill. Why are you ignoring Remus?" James asked calmly.

"I don't know what you are talking about?" I said calmly.

"You and Remus use to spend all your free time together and now you barely look at him. What. Is. Going. On?" He asked sharply.

"I'm in love with Remus! I'm scared he doesn't feel the same way and that if he does and we got togetger Sirius would hate us both, so I'm pushing him away from me." I said quickly.

"Seriously? That is why? This is to funny...... Sirius isn't in love with you. He says he is but he isn't. He has been trying to make Remus jealous, it has been obvious since the moment Remus saw you that he has liked you. You don't have anything to worry about." James said as he patted my shoulder.

"What should I do? I don't want to rush into a relationship with Remus and ruin our friendship, but I can't help but to want to kiss him."

"Okay talk to him. Tell him how you feel or wait for him to make the first move. I'll talk to him and try and get him to finally make a move on you." He said softly.

"Thank you. You know you are a real nice guy when you want to be James Potter." I said softly.

"Shh I have a reputation to keep." He whispered a she walked away.

I laughed and smiled as I left and went to the lake. I spotted Severus and I sent him a smile as I plopped down beside him.

"She still hates me doesn't she?" He asked sadly.

"Don't worry about it. I'm sure she will forgive you someday Sev. Just be patient." I said softly.

"Thank you for not abandoning me." He said softly.

"I would never do that to you. You're my best friend." I said as I hugged him.

"Can I tell you something?" He asked softly.

"You can tell me anything."

"I lied about my blood status...... I'm a half blood like you. I was scared that people would judge me."

"I will never judge you." I said softly.

He sent me a smile and I bumped into him. I laughed as he chased me around and then we left for class. I made it to Potions and let out a sigh as I set beside Remus.

"Hey.... I'm sorry I've been ignoring you. I've had a lot on my mind." I said softly.

"It's alright. James told me, he said that you were worrying about Severus and Lily and it was making you go a little insane." He said softly.

"Yea, Thank you for understanding." I said softly.
