Completion Author Notes

Hello everyone!

Thank all of you for your support while I wrote this.

I especially want to thank The_Queen_of_Theives, Henneth-Annun, and Raiones for reading and voting on every chapter while I worked on it. Especially through things like hiatuses, missed weeks, late updates, and schedule changes. To pull from an old thing people used to do to reward people (that I don't think anyone does anymore), have a cookie. My gift to you for your support.

Now onto statistics that my weird math-loving brain loves:

I started writing this story in October 2020. I completed it, including editing, on October 30th, 2022. I'm honestly not surprised at how long it took me, given the number of times I went to a biweekly update schedule, did not update for a few weeks, and so forth. I had a lot of things change in my life too.

The Liveship Paragon is 87, 942 words across 56 chapters. That's an average of 1,562 words per chapter.

I did not plan for it to be that many chapters, but when I realized I wanted each perspective shift to also correspond to a new chapter. There was one exception early on, but otherwise, that stayed constant.

For comparison, If I remember correctly Dawn's Light, my other completed story, is about 260,000 words across 61 chapters. That's 4,262 words per chapter on average. However, that book had all 60 chapters' events planned ahead of time, while The Liveship Paragon only had a list of events.

And looking at the list, a lot of things changed as I wrote this story. Some things got cut, moved, or added. I do think that the end product is better than my rough outline of ideas.

My next project is to finish Star Dragon, my abandoned project. I started writing it after I finished Dawn's Light in late 2019. However, due to the lack of people reading it. I stopped writing it. Heck, I stopped publishing it with a 5 chapter buffer. But, even after not touching it since Jan 2021, Chapters 10 through 21 still only have 1 to 2 views. It was super disheartening for me at the time.

But now I know that unfinished stories here on Wattled do not do well unless they are fan fiction of some kind. I still want to finish the story before I start publishing the rest of the story. I have no idea when it will be ready. But, what's currently written is, in my opinion, more than half the story.

I also have my fan fiction of Crystal Scherer's story Upon Wings of Change, called Shadows of the Past. I will finish it. I have no idea when, but I will finish it and publish it when I do. Mostly because I am stubborn and I love her work. Seriously, go check her out here on Wattpad if you have not already.

However, this will not be my main project. It will be a side project for when I need a break from writing Star Dragon. Sometimes, I struggle to write one story without any breaks. That's why Dawn's Light had the interlude chapters built into it. It was a way to give me a small break and still advance the story. The Liveship Paragon was not as bad since the point of view changed frequently.

If you read this far, have a cookie, even if it is your second.

Thank you so much for joining me on this journey.

If you have any questions about the story, characters, or anything else, feel free to ask! I've been tempted to make full chapters of lore dumps in what is essentially my randomness book. Feel free to give suggestions on topics you would like to see in a lore dump!

See you on the next adventure!
