"And then your father's tongue swell up like a balloon! He couldn't talk for a whole week!" Topaz and Emma laughed as Topaz showed the picture of her father with a swollen red tongue with a freaked out face as Amethyst was covering her mouth trying hard not to laugh but Topaz was on the ground laughing hysterically.

"And that's when he learned not to mess with mutant bees." Emma giggles at the story, she looks at the picture of her father.

"Aunt Topaz w-where is my dad?" Emma asked her Aunt hoping she would know the answer, but Topaz just sighed

"I don't know sweetheart one moment he was in our lives the next minute he was gone."

"Well that doesn't sound right." Emma looked confused "That's more of mom's thing."

Topaz chuckles "Yeah but I'm sure where ever he is he's thinking about you." She brings her niece close to a hug.

Emma just sits there thinking long and hard

Her father couldn't have just disappeared without telling anyone

Maybe he went missing and  her mom went out to look for him?

Maybe something bad happened to him

He just ..... left

Emma shakes the last thought out of her head, that was the last thing she wanted to think.

"Well enough time down memory lane." Topaz jumped up from the couch "come on let's get dinner started.

Later on that night Emma say on the rug looking though the picture in photo album, there were so many pictures of her mom and dad. Sparring, cooking, formal events.

They looked so happy

She turns the page and saw a picture of her mother holding a newborn baby in her arms smiling as her father holds them in a big proud hug.

Emma takes the picture and looks at it close sighing deeply.

Sapphire walks by the room  but walks backwards looking into Emma's room as she stared at the photo

"You ok gemstone you've been in here for quite some time." Sapphire came into the room concern about her young niece

"Aunt Sapphire if you were trying to find someone what's the first thing you do?" Emma looks up at her aunt

"Well me personally I would try to retrace their foot steps and start from there." Sapphire put a hand to her chin, Emma nods soaking in the information "Why?"

"I was just wondering." Emma looks away like she was thinking

"Ooookay well come on sweetheart it's time for bed."
Sapphire picks Emma up walking towards the bed

"But I'm not tired." Emma whines

"But you know who is tired .... me!" Sapphire blows a raspberry on Emma's cheek making the little girl laugh placing her in the bed

"Good night baby." Sapphire kisses Emma's forehead ruffling her hair

"Good night." Emma smiles as Sapphire turns off the lights, closing the door. Emma couldn't help but sit in the dark thinking

She couldn't help but about her parents

Emma waited for everyone to go to sleep, she puts the photo album inside her backpack. "Come on noodles." She grabs her teddy bear placing him in the bag "We've got a mission to do."

She opens the door by the bed and climbs on the fire escape, she climbs down to the ground. "Ok let's see." Emma pulls out the photo album scanning though the pages, she sees a picture of her dad with his arm around what appears to be a mutant with lizard like scales in what looked to be a nightclub jazz bar

Emma takes the photo out and looks at it close

What she didn't notice is that a diamond form started to glow on her forehead, before she knew it her eyes glow bright pink.

Emma opens one eye and looks up to see different types of yokia and mutants sitting around talking and interacting with each other as if they were human.

"Come on Slick don't do this man!" She heard a voice she had never heard before.

"I'm sorry Screwball but I gotta let ya go." A sliver voice hisses. Emma looks at the two shadows talking, she tip toes towards and peeks her head in.

It a mutant with a cobra snake for a head wearing a bouncer outfit, the other man he was talking to had the same outfit with red spike hair and blood red eyes, his long elf like ears poked out with sharp fangs sticking out of his mouth

Emma quickly realized who he was

"Daddy?" Emma looked up at him with awe, she had never seen him before in person only in pictures and stories.

"Ya punch a guy in the face!" Slick frowned

"He spilled a drink and had the nerve to not apologize." Screwball frowned "So apparently my fist was connected with his face."

"Screw seriously ya gotta control that anger of yours." Slick shook his head as if he were disappointed in him. "One of these days ya temper is gonna lead you to doing something you'll regret."

Screwball just scoffs rolling his eyes "Whatever." He purposely bumps his shoulder as he walks away.

Emma gasps snapping out of the trance dropping the photo onto the ground "W-What was that?" She looks tip toes towards the photo and looks at a sign in the corner of the picture.

"Mutantical Mocha Cafe." Emma reads the sign "Well Noddles I just thats where we're going." She looks at her bear, she grabs her backpack and walks towards the dumpster. She knocks on the dumpster three times, the trash in dumpster goes down the portal. Emma flys up and shots down into the dumpster.

Emma walks down the edgy streets of the hidden city, constantly looking at the picture looking up at the mutants to see if they were slick.

"Excuse me." Emma got a mutant who has a fly head. "Do you know where the muntatical mocha cafe is?"

The fly mutant talks with blowing raspberry pointing a black two story building. "Thank you!" Emma waves as the fly mutant tips his hat to her.

Emma walks to the door, a buff tiger wearing a black shirt and pants crossing his arms looking straight ahead. "Ya lost squirt?"

"Uh no I need to talk to somebody." Emma looks in the doorway trying to see in

"Sorry kid but I can't let ya just walk in there." The tiger mutant turns her around and lightly pushes her to leave

"But it's super duper important!" Emma tried to go in but the tiger mutant grabs her by her waist and tries to pull her but Emma teleports out of his grip running into the cafe

Hey! Get back here!"

Emma runs into the cafe trying not to bump into people, but she accidentally trips on something falling flat on her face.

"Hey!" She hears a squeaky voice, she looks behind. She saw a small Guinea pig mutant with a black dress and diamond earrings, she had a French beret to the side

"Sorry." Emma apologized

"Why is there a child in my cafe!" The mouse mutant yelled with her French accent.

"Sorry Ms Mocha." The tiger mutant apologizes "Come on kid out!" He grabs Emma put she holds onto the table

"Wait please I need to talk to someone!" Emma tries to hold on to the table but loses her grip.

"M-My dad use to work here!" Emma tries to grab the mouse woman's attention "His name was Screwball Screwtonagus my name is Emma I-I'm his daughter!"

As soon as she hear that Mocha quickly turns around "Tony let go of that child!" Tony quickly puts Emma down as she crouched down to the tiny woman as she looks at her face.

"Those eyes." She widens Emma's eye making it big

"Those fangs." She stretched Emma's mouth looking at her sharp fangs.

"You are Screwball's daughter!!" Mocha smiles hugging her face with joy.

"Y-You knew my dad?" Emma raised an eyebrow

"Of course I did I knew him and your mother!" Mocha smiled, she grabs Emma's finger "Come with me." She walks with her to the back. "I have something to show you."

Topaz walks out of the bathroom about to walk into the bedroom but looks at her nieces room and gets a smile

She turns the knob and opens the door expecting to see her niece in bed but sees nothing except an empty bed "What?!" Topaz looks though the bed but of course doesn't find anything "Saph! Saph!"

Sapphire comes burst out of the room with her hair rolled up in rollers, a blue face mask on her face  "What is it honey? Is it a burglar?! Come on ya punk I'm ready for ya!! Sapphire holds out her spear in a fight stance

Topaz rolls her eyes at her dramatic girlfriend "No babe it's Emma she's gone."

"What?! Gone what do you mean gone?" Sapphire comes into the room. The women look to see the window wide open

"Oh no we are not going though this again come on Saph!" Topaz and Sapphire run out the door out of the apartment

"And then your father threw him out of the window." Mocha finishes her story before taking a sip out a tiny coffee mug

"Wow." Emma sat in a chair in front of her eating a blueberry muffin "I didn't know my daddy was such a jerk."

Emma has heard so many stories about her father from her aunts, he was always told to being a lovable goofball, and a sweet guy

But after what Mocha told her her father seems

Screwball wearing all black stands out the cafe with a bear mutant letting people in, a hyena mutant walks pass Screwball and lets out a chuckle passed him

Screwball grabs him by the collar of his shirt and slams him against the wall, his feet dangling "What's so funny?! You laugh at me or something? Huh?!" Screwball growls his fangs angrily

"N-No No man I just got this condition." The hyena tried to explain but starts laughing again

"That's it I'm BREAKING HIS NECK!!!!!" Screwball snarls demonically his eyes biting fire red as he starts to shake the mutant angrily

"Screwy chill!!" The bear tries pull him off

Emma looked horrified at the story

"But I know you are a sweet child and never follow in your fathers path." Mocha boops Emma's nose who cringed at thought she did in fact for a second have a demon inside her

"Now your mother that was a real angel." Mocha sighs looking back on the memory

"My mom used to work here too?" Emma perks up

"Yes your mother used to sing in my club she had the voice of an angel." Mocha smiles before she gets an idea "You know I have no singer tonight but ... would you like to sing tonight?"

"M-Me?" Emma asked surprise "I-I don't know." Emma looks down unsure, Mocha takes her hands making her look into her eyes

"I think it would be a great honor of your mother."

Emma thinks for a second but gets a smile

"Ok."

"Ladies and Gentlemen I have a very special treat for you all." Mocha stood on the stage in front of the audience "May I present the adorable and talented Emma."

Emma peeks shyly though the curtains and steps out onto the stage now wearing a dress instead of her onesie

The audience whispers and snickered to one another

Emma twiddles her thumbs nervously looking over to Mocha who gave her a thumbs up

Emma smiles and steps forward towards the crowd

"Don't worry babe we're gonna find her I promise." Topaz's hugs her close comforting her

Sapphire slightly perks up at the sound of singing

The audience gives Emma a standing novation, Emma blushes grateful "Emma!" She perks you to see Topaz and Sapphire walk up towards the stage "Oh hi Aunt Topaz did you like the show?"

"Come on Emma we're leaving now!" Topaz's grabs Emma's wrist and starts walking her towards the exist

"W-Why?" Emma looks confused

"Sapphire Topaz so good to see you two it's been too long." Mocha gives the woman a smile who give her a frown in return

"You are nothing but a manipulator you little rat!" Sapphire hisses at Mocha

"Aunt Sapphire don't say that." Emma snatched away from Topaz glaring at her aunt with disappointment "Mocha's nice she knew my mom and dad she told me things that you didn't bother to bring up."

"Emma Mocha can not be trusted."

"Yes she can!"

"Emma do know why your mom and dad stopped working here?" Topaz's squints an eyebrow "They stopped working her because your mom found out that Mocha was stealing her voice."

Screwball angrily kicks down the door of Mochas office as Amethyst walked though with her arms crossed glaring down at Mocha, who surprised and start to angrily rant about her broken door

Amethyst puts up a hand silencing her and holding up a jar with a glowing purple goo inside

Mocha gets wide eyed and smiles sheepishly knowing she was caught

Screwball lifts up his burning ready to punch her but Amethyst gently lowers his hand shaking her head no, they give her one finally glare before walking out

Emma eyes widened "N-No that's not true that can't be true right Mocha?" She looks at the guinea pig mutant "M-Mocha?"

"That's the one thing I didn't like about you Topaz." Mocha looks up with an evil smile snapping her fingers as the audience eyes glows red and start to drool at the mouth standing up from their seats

"You always stick nose where it shouldn't be."

Emma gasps as Sapphire pulls her to the side as Topaz stepped forward with her yellow glowing eyes

"I command time to slow, though my gem my power flows no second pass until I'm though time stand still I order you!!!" Topaz chants the spell glowing bright, she takes her sword out of her gem and spins swiftly cutting the air as an electrical wave spreads around the cafe freezing everyone in front of her in place.

Topaz turns around and grabs Emma by the hand dragging her away

"Emma what were you thinking sneaking off like that you nearly gave me and your Aunt Sapphire a heart attack!!!!" Topaz rants walking back and forth as Emma sat on the couch

"I'm sorry I just-"

"That was dangerous! Reckless! And just down right stupid!"

"I just wanted to know more about my dad." Emma grumps with her arms crossed "Why didn't you tell me he was so mean."

"Emma your father wasn't mean. H-He had a bit of a temper but he loved you."

Emma's eyes started to flicker "If he loved me so much why did he leave me?!"

"He did love you Emma! We don't where he is but what I do know that he cares about and knowing you were gonna be a happy little girl it's what he would of wanted."

"What he wanted? What about what I want!" Emma huffs "I'm sick of no one not knowing anything! Screwball was my dad don't i at least get to know what happened to him." Emma holds her chest on the verge of tears

"Emma honey you need to calm down." Sapphire starts to walk up to her but Emma backs away "This isn't you."

"Ugh! I can't always a sweet bubbly girl all the time I'm allowed to be frustrated and I'm allowed to be angry." Emma stomps her foot

"Emma please."

"What?! You're afraid I have another demon in me!"

"No sweetheart."

"You're gonna try to shatter me with your spear again!!"

"Oh my stars Emma of course not!" Sapphire covered her mouth tears ready to fall down her face, she's never seen her niece so .... angry

"Emma you're making your Aunt Sapphire very upset." Topaz's hugs Sapphire closes glaring at Emma

"No! Mocha told me much more about about my dad than 1000 pages out of that STUPID BOOK!!!!!" Emma's scream echos shattering all the glasses in the apartment as it shook like an earthquake

Topaz and Sapphire looked at Emma shocked, surprised, and stern

Emma notices their looks and turns around to walk out the door "Emma get back here we're not done talking!"

"Well I am!" Emma reaches for the door knob but Topaz magically puts a lock on it

With tears rolling down her face Emma looks away and teleports away disappearing.

"Emerald Anna Moon Screwtonagus!! You get back here right now!!!" Topaz's yells in the atmosphere

"Topaz stop." Sapphire grabs her girlfriend's shoulders "I think she's right."

"Saph you can't be serious!" Topaz looks at her with a frown "When we left we left friends, family members behind!"

"But what happened to Emma wasn't her choice she was raised by another family and just found out she has another  one, both of her parents have disappeared and she doesn't have an answer to what happened to them, don't you think that a little overwhelming on a six year old?"

Topaz thinks for a moment and she's lets a deep sigh "You're right I-I'm sorry, now we have to go out and find her again she could be anywhere."

"I think I may know where she is."

Emma reappears on the roof of the house that her parents lived in that was know abandoned, she sits on the roof putting her face into her knees "Isn't not fair, why did they have to leave me." She sniffs

Somewhere in the hidden prison a prison guard walks pass the cells of the loud ruthless prisoners that were shouting and banging on the bars

He finally stops at a cell that was dark and the only he could see was a claw lifting a dumbbell up and down.

"Inmate S569930! It's time for your one hour out!" The guard orders opening the cell, the prisoner paused for a second dropping the weight and standing up

What felt like forever he spoke

"It's about time Gideon." The prisoner spoke in his Italian accent flashing a smirk showing his sharp fangs "I was worried you were gonna leave me in here."

"Your luckily I didn't leave you here to rot!" The guard hisses with a glare

"Aww you still mad about the laxative thing?" The prisoner asked mocking the guard "It's not my fault you didn't make to the bathroom in time."

The guard blushes lightly as he stomps to the prisoner putting handcuffs on him "If it were up to me you'd be in a cell under the prison!"

"Hehe whatever ya say diaper boy." The prisoner smirks as he's pushed forward.

"I heard he slaughtered his entire family." A pit bull mutant whispers

"I heard that he sold his wife and kid into hard labor." A snake headed mutant hisses playing with some cards

"Well I heard."

"Whatcha fellas talking about?"

The three prisoners freeze in place looking as if they were gonna pee themselves, they slowly look up. A tall mildly buff man with long spikey red hair going down his back, his long elf ears wiggles slightly at the sound of their rapid heartbeat. He smiles showing his sharp teeth

"N-Nothing Screw honest." The pit bull stutters

"Aye relax Pugs it's cool!" Screwball smiles slapping his back making the other prisoner winched in pain as Screwball sits down at the table "Come on spill."

"W-We were just um .... w-wondering w-what you did to get in here." A fish mutant wearing a bowl on his head full of water

Screwball perks up staring at him with his red blood eyes

"Oh nice going Bubbles." Pugs cringed

"I ain't do anything." Screwball looks down tapping the cards on the table

"B-But your family-"

"I said I ain't do nothing!!!" Screwball growls angrily leaning over the table grabbing Bubbles by the collar of his shirt "But if ya Keep yapping your gums and you'll be fish without water."

"Sssssooo what was you do if you weren't here?" The snake asked trying to change the subject

Screwball snaps out of the trance as he thought for a moment

While smelling like a herring, upon a Viking ship.

Screwball smirked as he flecked his muscles, a green aroma flys under another prison passes out from the smell

I'd sail away, I'd see the world, I'd reach the farthest reaches
I'd feel the wind, I'd taste the salt and sea.
And maybe storm some beaches.

Screwball takes a garlic bread from a shark mutant tray, the shark growls as he tries to snatch it but Screwball slides passing him. He does a flip making the shark face plate into the wall

That's who I'd be. That's who I'd be.

Or I could be a poet and write a different story,
One that tells of glory, and wipes away the lies
And to the skies I'd throw it, the stars would do the telling
The moon would help with spelling, and night would dot the 'I's

I'd write a verse, Recite a joke, with wit and perfect timing.
I'd share my heart, confess the things I yearn, and do it all while rhyming.

Screwball looks away his face trying red as he hold his anger inside

Screwball spins bumping into something, he turns to see Amethyst turning around showing him her heart melting face.

Screwball holds his breath, his heart about to burst out of his chest it was beating out of his chest, he was lost in her sweet sparking purple eyes

But being her guard against a beast, I'd some how overthink it

They hear a roar and see the three headed bear stomping towards them letting out a monstrous, Screwball pulls Amethyst behind him cracking his knuckles running towards the bear, he jumps up with his hands above his head making a giant fireball but the bear looking bored just slaps him away making him land on his butt.

Amethyst looks at the bear quickly getting angry changing into her gem form creating a giant orb blasting it away

I see the girl, I hold my breath waiting for her to let me have it.

Screwball stands holding his head in pain he looks down to see Amethyst still in her gem form glaring at him with her glowing eyes. He holds his breath closing his eyes ready for her to strike him

We'd hold each other tight, we'd speak of love, we'd feel the stars ascending
We'd share a kiss, I'd find my destiny

Amethyst suddenly tackles him into a hug holding him close, Screwball is taken back but smiles as they look into each other's eyes. Amethyst finally breaks the ice plating a kiss on his lips. Screwball eyes pop into hearts as he smiles a dopey smile

I'd have a hero's ending, a perfect happy ending.
That's how it would be
A big bright beautiful world!

Emma leans over the side with her head buried in her arms, Topaz and Sapphire land on the roof seeing their niece overwhelmed by sadness and heartbreak. The two women looked at each other and walked over to her, each sitting opposite side of her

"Emma ...... E-Emma honey .... I'm so sorry you feel this way. No child should ever not have parents in their life, we may not know where your mom and dad are ... or if they're even alive ... but what I do know is that they loved you with both of their hearts." Topaz's gently places a hand on top of Emma's head who peeks up at her with a tearful eye

Emma quickly hugs Topaz burying her face in her aunt's chest, Topaz was taken back but holds her close as Sapphire puts a hand on her shoulder in comfort

Her father was closer that she thinks
