~Y/N's P.O.V~

We were in the dining room. With Zane sitting down and the rest of us looking at him.

Lucinda: he doesn't have a temperature.... his vitals seem normal. But I'm sure you've all noticed it...

Y/N: what is there to notice?

Garroth: yeah?

Lucinda: well, surprisingly Y/N you don't know but look closely at his face

Y/N: what can i look at with the stupid mask on his face?

Zane: h-hey!

Lucinda: you don't need to see his entire face to know something is off

Y/N: that's hard to believe, but what is it then? Obviously I'm not going to figure it out

Garroth: his eyes

Y/N: they look normal to me

Garroth: they're not *sigh* my baby brothers eyes are naturally blue, but his eyes are green

Y/N: really? Oh yeah they are, didn't really notice that before

Lucinda: i think we were all caught up in finding him that we didn't think to question it

Garroth: to be honest I was just glad he was back safe and sound

Y/N: i mean we all were, especially Aphmau

Lucinda: Zane, what exactly happened with your eyes?

Zane: what are you talking about?

Lucinda: your eyes are a different color!

Zane: they are?

Y/N: didn't you just hear her?

Lucinda: does anyone have a mirror?

Y/N: i have a glass shard, it's pretty sharp so be careful not to break it

Zane: why do you have a shard specifically?

Y/N: don't worry about it, just look at yourself, see?

Zane: my eyes are green, thats my natural eye color

Garroth: no it's not! Zane please remember!

Zane: look Garroth, was It? I appreciate you.. no, all of you helping me recover from the cold but i don't appreciate you guys acting this way towards me

Lucinda: what do you mean?

Y/N: acting in what way?

Zane: well first off, Garroth over here keeps screaming he's my brother. Even if he isn't screaming it, he's giving me a dirty look

Garroth: no I'm not! *has dirty look* What?

Zane: all I'm saying is, I'd like to be respected a little more around here

Y/N: yeah sure whatever, you understand Garroth?

Garroth: yes, we understand... I'm sorry Zane... I guess... something is just really getting to me...

Zane: well, i hope whatever it is resolves itself soon

Garroth: yeah, me too

Y/N: this is awkward

Lucinda: well, now that that's out of the way, we-

Zane: wait!

Lucinda: hm?

Zane: is my brother okay? I had gotten separated from him before

Garroth: are you talking about Vylad? Wait! Is Vylad here?

Y/N: isn't he your younger brother?

Garroth: yeah! Anyway, last I remember Vylad was doing some traveling for personal reasons, but it's very possible that he-

Zane: no, I'm not talking about Vylad!

Garroth: Oh! So you remember him!

Y/N: Garroth!

Lucinda: please! Go on baby

Y/N: he won't have any babies when I'm done with him

Zane: *blushing* baby? Uhhhh, alright! Well, we were in the woods camping and... next thing I know, we got separated in the storm that was building up

Garroth: Zane, what is your brothers name?

Zane: his name? *laughs* what is This? Some kind of joke?

Garroth: no, its-

Y/N: Garroth! Lay off the brother thing! We're going to drive Zane away from telling us anything if you keep this childish act up!

Garroth: tch alright...

Y/N: tch at me one more time and I'll beat you up and tie you to a pole

Garroth: I'm sorry!

Y/N: what was the last thing you remember Zane?

Zane: all i I remember was a flash of green and then my brother was gone!

Lucinda: flash of green?

Zane: yeah, it was really pretty too.. like an emerald

Lucinda: hmmm

Zane: What?

Lucinda: it's nothing.. I just- i need to go check something I'll be right back

Y/N: wait Lucinda hold on!

I ran after Lucinda, out if breathe.

Y/N: what's, give me a sec... ok what's wrong?

Lucinda: don't tell Garroth or Zane but I'm going to open up the secret passageway again.

Y/N: what?! Are you serious? That's way too dangerous Lucinda! Thats Why we sealed it up for a reason!

Lucinda: i know but i think i saw something there that might help us with what Zane is going through. I just need to take a look at it

Y/N: then I'll go with you

Lucinda: no you need to stay here with Zane and Garroth, honestly the state that they're both in, they're only going to slow me down

Y/N: ugh fine, they are acting very off

Lucinda: more off for my liking, the worst part is that Aphmau isn't here to help with them. You can help with Garroth but not with Zane since you don't talk to him much. She is usually better at chilling out Zane

Y/N: I'll try

Lucinda: I'm counting on you, if I'm not back within two hours then, you will come looking for me

Y/N: right!

Lucinda: be back soon

Y/N: stay safe

~time skip~

Zane: so what exactly set you on edge?

Garroth: uh-huh? Me?

Zane: uh, yeah! There's no one else here

Garroth: oh us well, it's really nothing

Zane: seems like someone upset y-

Y/N: guys! Ok sorry to bother you but I really need to go

Garroth: what? Where are you going?

Y/N: i can't take it anymore! I need to find Aaron and Aph!

I grabbed my jacket and ran out the door.

After running through the woods I found a cave opening. I went inside and I found Aaron covered in his jacket. I quickly ran to him.

Y/N: Aaron! Wake up! Please! Aaron!

I tried carrying him but I was too weak from the cold and he was too heavy. I fell to the ground, my eyelids getting heavy.

I saw a figure come close to me, i couldn't tell who it was but my vision was getting blurry. Then it went black.

~time skip~

I opened my eyes and started getting consciousness and heard the fire crackling.

I looked around the room and saw Aphmau against the wall. She started to wake up too.

Aphmau: huh? Fire

Y/N: Aph, you're okay

Aphmau: Y/N? When did you get here?

She was speaking very slowly, I'm guessing she went to get wood for fire or something.

Aphmau: but how am i alive? I...

I saw her turn the other way to our side and we saw a girl holding Aaron in her arms.

Aphmau: woah! Um, who are you?

??: quiet, you'll wake him

Y/N: isn't that the point?

Aphmau: that's my boyfriend, so

??: this isn't a boy, it's a man

Y/N: after living with him for all your life you'd come to realize that's not true

Aphmau: i know that but... what i mean to is, what are you doing to him?

??: I'm keeping him warm, he was out cold. Any longer and he might have died

Aphmau: were you the one who saved us?

??: yes, but i saved him, and that girl, you had his scent so I did the same for you, but he- he needed my body heat more

Y/N: oh no

Aphmau: um, I'm sure his body can do that without-

??: why are you so tense?

Aphmau: tense?

??: your stance seems hostile to me

Aphmau: well, i-

Y/N: Aph, don't push her buttons

Aphmau: but my boyfriend is... ugh

??: please let him rest, right now that's what he needs

Aphmau: ughh, fine, just... is he going to be okay?

??: i believe so, he just needs to stay close to me

Aphmau: ugh you're lucky i few more about him than anything else right now

Y/N: just keep my brother safe...please

??: i can promise that *sniffs Aaron* He lasted for a long time the way he is

Aphmau: huh? What does that mean?

??: shhh, let's allow him to rest in peace

Y/N: that a the acrynom for R.I.P and I dont want to be seeing that on a tombstone with his name on it
