"I've been training all day, can I please go to a public school?" Ava begged Slade, he sighed
"I'll think about it" Ava fist-pumped the air
"YES!" and ran off with Slade yelling in the distance
"That's not a yes!" Ava turned around
"It will be!" she yelled then ran off again

>30 minutes later<

"Fine, you can go" Slade said, Ava jumped for joy
"But don't come crying to me when it gets hard" Ava nodded
"Yeah yeah sure whatever, when do I start?" Slade sighed "Tomorrow, you will walk y/n to her classroom then head to your own"
"Alright! hear that N/n? I start school tomorrow" Ava said as she ran to find her little sister.

>Wednesday<

Tim's pov

She walked the halls with someone younger behind her, they were in sync with each other almost like robots.. it was.. weird to say the least. As they walked past I could see them more clearly, the shorter one had blonde hair and bright blue eyes, and the older one, the one I haven't seen before, had the same blonde hair but emerald green eyes. Something feels... off about them. Maybe I've had too many coffees, who knows
"Hey Drake," Damian said as he walked up to me
"Hey demon, what are you doing here?" Damian shrugged "I got bored" he glanced around us then paused, I followed his gaze to the two girls. Damian growled
"Father is making apologize to her" he gave a pointed glare at the younger one
"Why?" I asked, he sighed
"We got into a fight" I took another look at her and saw a few bandages
"Really? How? Why?" Damian sighed
"you ask too many questions Drake"

Damian walked over to the girl and tapped her shoulder, she turned then grabbed the other girls arm to get her attention, the older one turned to see what was going on. The older one smiled but had a fire of hatred in her eyes "Come to apologize, have you?" she asked, Damian sighed "Yes, Y/n I am sorry I injured you" he told the younger one, then held out his hand the young girl looks up at the other who nodded, the young girl shakes Damian's hand
"I wish we could have become friends but the signs came too early, it's not meant to be" 

A loud crash interrupted them and gas-filled the air, followed by the cackle from the Joker.
"I'm looking for an Ava, Ava Star? I've got orders to bring you in" he laughed as he looked around.
"RUN!" the older girl, Ava, yelled as she picked up y/n and ran as students fled the area
"Not so fast!" Joker exclaimed as one of his goons tackled the pair of girls, Ava was pinned to the ground as y/n flew out of her arms then crawled away, tears in her eyes. I got up and ran over to her
"Hey, I just want to help you" I quickly told her before picking her up and running out of the building, she cried and yelled
"No! Ava! someone! help her! Dad!" she burst into tears, sobbing for her family. The Teen Titans showed up, including Robin, who started helping students and teachers get out of the building.

Ava's pov

Jokers goons let go of me
"What do you want?" I asked and stood up, the Joker paced around
"A little bird said that Ace was working with Death, and I just wanted to know if it was true" Joker laughed, Ace? Is that what they call me? I thought to myself 
"and? there has to be a better reason you decide to come to me personally" Joker walked up to me
"clever little thing aren't you? well, a certain group of people have sent me to take you to them"
"Joker!" we both turned to see the Teen Titans, Joker swiped at me but I Jumped out of the way
"leave her alone!" the Teen Titans said as they charged at the Joker. I ran out of the way but the Joker threw something at my legs, causing me to trip and fall, I looked down to see a crowbar at my feet with a pool of blood around it. My eyes widened as I saw the damage caused to my legs, bruises were forming and blood was oozing out of my leg were the crowbar had caught it and ripped off a chunk of skin. 

My other leg was only bruised so I slowly got up and tried to walk, pain shot up my leg and I yelped. Ok, can't use that leg, got it. I looked back at the Teen Titans to see them still fighting the Joker, I hobbled outside while using the wall for support.
"Ava!" Y/n cried while a teacher tried to calm her down, I made my way to her
"I'm here N/n, are you ok?" she ran over to me then spotted my injury as I sat down, she hugged me tightly, tears rolling down her cheeks
"What a lovely first day of school" I mumbled. Soon the Teen Titans came out with the Joker tied up
"Ava Star? We'd like to ask you a few questions" Starfire said as she walked over to me. uh-oh
"I need medical attention first off, and I need to call my dad" I pulled out my phone to see the screen cracked, I turned it on, still works. I looked up to see the news broadcasters here, double uh-oh. My phone rings, guess who? it's dad.

"Hey, saw the news?" I ask weakly
"I'm nearly there," he said,
"well, I'm injured so hospital or home?"
"What happened?" the car pulled up and I hung up
"N/n, dad's here, go find him" she nodded and ran to the car. Soon he ran to me, Y/n in tow and checked the injuries "Report, how bad it is?" he asked
"Nothing broken, Joker threw a crowbar at my legs, bruises on both legs, my right leg was caught by the edge of the crowbar it took a chunk of skin off, scraps on my knees from when I fell" he nodded then called for an ambulance "Titans didn't help either, but Damian apologized to Y/n before the Joker showed up" I added while waiting for the ambulance, Y/n hugging me tightly, she knelt beside me.

When the ambulance pulled up, they rushed towards us and got to work while also getting the crowd to back away to give us some space. They cleaned the wound then got a stretcher and lifted me onto it, Y/n held my hand and went to climb into the ambulance with me. "Y/n come here," Slade said softly, Y/n had tears in her eyes, I can't imaging how she's going to handle this whole thing. I nodded at her "I'll be okay, go home, rest, I'll be home before you know it" a tear rolled down her cheek
"I want to come with you" she pleaded, Slade put a hand on her shoulder
"We can visit her later, but we need to let the paramedics do their job" Y/n hugged me one last time before stepping back as I was loaded into the ambulance, I waved at her before the doors shut and the ambulance drove off.
