Her gaze harden at the corset. She didn't want to look like a Kardashian nor she wanted her lungs to cramp. "Nolean are you almost done?" She look back to the clothes lay out before her. "Do you want the truth?" Jenna open the door. "Why haven't you got ready?" She close the door behind her as she was in her undergarments. "Jenna would you want to wear a corset?" She rolled her eyes smiling before taking a seat next to her.

 "No..." She hum looking her way. "But it's only for one day and don't you want to be like Cinderella or Snow White?" She raise an eyebrow at her. "You know snow white was banned right?" Her eyes widen at her niece comment, "Wait why?" 

"It was too sexy apparently but don't let that distract you from the fact she was 14 and prince charming was thirty-one." She shook her head.

"How about I buy you a burger?" She perk her head up, "With bacon?" She smiled, "Whatever you want." Nolean immediately sat up pushing Aunt Jenna out of them room. She let out a sigh of relief heading to Jeremy.

After everyone finally got ready they headed to the school. She held up her dress not wanting the end of the silk to catch any dirt. She wander looking for Caitlin and Bonnie.

She received many looks from students and adults some stare  memories at the sight of her while others scuffed clearly jealous of the young beauty. 

 It wasn't long before she gave up sitting down taking deep breaths. She was frowning. Someone sat down next to her, she look up. "Matty!" She reach out to hug him but her corset made her wince. She decided to head pat him.

He was now frowning. "I'm sorry I really want to hug you but I think if I move a inch my ribs will break and my heart will give out." He raise an eyebrow. "It that bad?"

"This pain is in my top 10's." He smirk. "You have a list?" She pat his head slower. "You don't want to even know..." He tilted his head as she change the subject. "So how you and Caroline?"

"We are good..." She raise an eyebrow. "Your lying I can tell and it not the fact she complains about you two have being distant." He shook his head. "Yeah we been a little distant but that because we been busy, her with planning Miss Mystic Falls float and me with work and recovery." He was now patting her head with his uninjured hand. "Don't worry about it."

"Okay I won't." She got up from the bench. "I should get going before Caroline get angry that I'm late. I'll see you later." She waved bye and continue walking she then was then pull by someone. "Hey!" She face them it was her sister.

"Oh it you... Also was it really necessary that you had to pull me?" She frowned, "Sorry." They stood silent as Nolean was slightly getting irritated. "Are you going to keep holding my elbow?"

"Oh right," She let out a sigh. "Can we stop fighting for one day? I miss you..." She look to the floor, "I miss you too but your just not the same."

She was going to excuse herself when the two Salvatore brothers stood in front of her.

They held a fixed gaze at the girls. Damon being Damon grab Nolean small hand placing a kiss on top. She had trouble maintaining eye contact with him and look away. He stood back up smirking satisfy at her reaction. She took her hand bringing it close to her chest. "I-I should get going before Caroline um get mad." She stammer she quickly pick up her ends on her dress and started to pace through the streets.

"Damon you made her nervous." Stefan look at him. "I have that affect on ladies"

She sees Caroline taking pictures with Matt she sighs with relief glad to see them doing something normal.

"Say cheese!" Bonnie hold up to camera.

Caroline pat Matt chest, "Wait! Hide your cast it not era appropriate."
He frowned downed at her, "Seriously?" She nodded, "Yes." He let out a sigh. "Okay fine." They quickly pose again and Bonnie snaps the picture. Caroline notice Nolean and gasps Bonnie look confused and faces where she looking. She then smiled widely. "You look adorable!"

"It not even the right century that a few years later." Caroline scuff. She play with her hands biting her bottom lop. Bonnie spoke up, "Hey why don't us girls taking a picture together."

"That a great idea!" Tyler speaks up arriving. "I can take the picture if you want?"

Matt glare at him. "I'll be on the float."  Nolean let out a sigh as he exits shaking her head lightly. "I said I was sorry."

"You made out with his mother then beat him up. You're gonna have to do better then just sorry." Caroline glance at him before leaving following Matt.

Nolean look to Bonnie. "You still want a picture?" She nodded as she extended her phone toward Tyler. "Be sure to get my good angle." His heart rate jump as he felt her fingers brush his. He blink rapidly. Why did he felt like that?

She didn't notice heading next to Bonnie and pose. He stood shock as she tilted her head confused. "Tyler?" She called softly. He perk up his head. "O-oh right smile for me." They both smiled widely as he snap the photo.

Nolean sat alone in Mystic Grill enjoying the burger Aunt Jenna promise she was just glad nothing went wrong...well kind of. She scroll through the photos she taken while sipping her water.

Someone pulls a seat next to her. She sets her phone down turning her head still sipping her drink.

"I like you better like this." She scrunch her nose setting her cup down. "Are you insulting me?" Damon pat her head, "It a compliment." 

She push his hand away picking up her drink. "What do you want?" He scrunch his eyebrows together, "Why do you think I want something from you?" She turn her head, "You would be antagonizing your brother right now." He tap his finger against the bar then let out a sigh. "Okay you caught me." He press his arm down on the counter leaning closer to her. She squinted her eyes suspicious. 

"Why don't you talk to your sister?" She lean back clenching her jaw. "Are you serious?"

"You can't keep holding a grudge." She scuff getting off the wooden chair and tossing her jacket on. "I can and will you just don't understand." He grab her arm as she was about to storm off. "Then make me."

"She need to learn actions have consequences. Giving her blood to Stefan made him blood hungry, not telling Jeremy about Vicki made him lose his trust, using you to fix are trust isn't helping the problem. Don't you see why I'm so frustrated and distant?" He rolled his eyes. "She not using me." She adjusted her glasses. "I'm guessing that what she told you." She pull her arms from his grasp grabbing her burger in one hand.

"Really mature of you Gilbert!" She pull up a middle finger slipping out the door. Stefan bump into Nolean. She side step him walking faster taking and angry bite out her burger.

Nolean smile widely as she had a huge stuff Pikachu and cotton candy in her other hand. She was excited for once. Her brother sneakily came by and bump into her. She let out a small gasp and she wobble around.

She heard her brother laughing. She frowned pouting her lips. "You jerk! I almost dropped my cotton candy." He took the stuff animal from her ruffling her hair. "You would of been fine."

"Pikachu is literally half my height." He smirk walking along side her. "Did Damon also come to you?" She stop in her tracks. "You too?" He hum. She sighed shaking her head. "Let's just forget about them and have some fun,  I'm going to put Pikachu in the trunk... That sounds bad." He snicker as she snatch the stuff animal out of his hands. "and then go to Ms. Lockwood."

"Okay I'll meet up with you later." She smirk. "Call me if you need anything." She then trotted away to the car unlocking the trunk and stuffing the Pokémon in the trunk.

"Nolean!" She turned around wiping the sweat from her forehead.  She saw it was her history teacher Alaric. "Hi Mr. Saltzman...how can I help you?"

"You need to get out of here." She raise an eyebrow confused. "Why?" He dug through the trunk pulling out darts. "The tomb vampires are planning to attack."

She had to urge to help. "I'm helping." She grab stake. He immediately pull her arm. "No your not founding families are targeted." He look into her eyes.

She bit her bottom lip. As Mother Nature her job was to protect she couldn't just look away.

"You don't understand I have too." Her eyes shimmer green. "Please..." She muttered. He knew he couldn't win the argument. "I didn't agree to this if anyone asks." She nodded stretching her fingers out. "Let go." 

Nolean hears a high pitch ringing noise she looks around to try and find the source. "Do you hear that?" He look over to her, "Hear what?" She then notice people falling to the floor. She sees a officer stab an needle into there neck she freezes at sight of them hitting the floor. She can feeling the slight burn and the puncture.

Alaric pulls her arm, "Come on we need to help Stefan."

Alaric notices an officer heading toward Stefan. "Hey I got this." He held the syringe upward. The officer nodded leaving while Alaric bent down as she rush over. "What happening?"

"I-I-I don't know he just fell over clutching his head." Nolean quickly took out her phone placing headphones into his ears carefully. He pull him up as everyone follow behind. "He not the only one. They have gotten everyone who gone down and injected with vervain."

Elena stood frozen. "What?" She gasp realizing the situation. "They're running up the vampires." Nolean nodded. "Which is why we need to act fast.

There were now in Mystic Fall square sitting down on a bench. Stefan pull out the headphones rubbing his temples. "Are you okay?" Elena ask while Nolean grab her phone. He look up at them. "It was like needle were piecing my skull."

Alaric came back, "I saw at least five vampires go down. There taking them to your old family building."

Stefan eyes widen. "It the Gilbert device it has to be." Nolean furrowed her eyebrows "But Bonnie put a spell on it..." Alaric look at her. "Maybe she didn't." Elena shook her head, "We saw her do it." Stefan took her hand. "He has a point Elena we ask her to deactivate a device that could protect people against vampires."

"So we could protect you." She insisted. Nolean bit her cheek inside of her cheek to make her not grit her teeth. "And Damon. Also does anyone have a clue where is he?"

Alaric spoke up, "I don't know haven't seen him since this started." Her sister looks at him. "Can you take her and brother home?" Nolean scuffed. "I'm not going."

"Yes you are." She rolled her eyes turning away to fix the situation. Elena grab her arm before she could leave. "I suggest you let go." Nolean spoke lowly as tension began to spread. Stefan sat up. "Nolean she just doing what the best for you."

Her eyes turned green. "I don't have time for this!" She pull her arm out of hand ignoring the scrapes and running off. "Nolean!"

She began to quickly scan there area. The wind picking up in some spots. Her eyes widen as she stops in front of a building where John stands at the entry. 

She could feel the heat coming off the building. 

 "Your a psychopath."

"Ah so you do know?" Her frown deepen at his tone. "There vile creatures they kill for blood it had to be done."

"So your killing them! Wouldn't that make you a murderer!? You can't justify taking a life."

"I'm protecting you and your sister and your brother!" She shook her head. "That what your telling yourself. Go rot in hell." She move to the side of the building going into the emergency door.

Bonnie grabs her arm worriedly. "You can't go in there." Nolean shook her head. "This isn't right and you known it." Bonnie drop her hand feeling immense guilt.

Nolean try to turn the knob but it was to hot. She clutch her hand to her chest wincing.

Bonnie look at her burned hand her instincts screaming at her to protect the small gilbert.

"Nolean!" She look behind to see Elena. "I have to get in, Damon is trapped." Nolean pulls her up but Bonnie grabs her arm. "B-Bonnie?"

"I'm sorry for lying." She closes her eyes reciting a spell. The flames began to diminish. Nolean is about to enter but Stefan put his arms on her shoulders. "Stay here I got him." Her lips tremble worriedly but she nods giving in. Bonnie finish her spell staring at Nolean. "I'm sorry." She whispers.

Stefan comes out with Damon limping and coughing. She let out a gasp as Elena run toward them.

Nolean lay down on her bed staring at the ceiling. Usually she would read a book but her feelings were scramble. One minute she was mad at Damon next she was worried for his safety. She rolled to her side staring at her window. She didn't know how to feel.

Knocking was heard from her door. She turned her position grabbing the glasses on her cabinet looking at the door. "Come in." Damon walk in as she push her arms up sitting upward and tucking the blanket around herself. "I didn't know you were here..."

He sat next to her on the bed. "I had to talk to your brother um Anna got stake by your uncle." Her heart constricted in her chest. She stood silent. "Don't worry I didn't erase his memory." She smirk shaking her head.

"Are you okay?" She look up to him her blues eyes had concern and worried written all over it. He nodded his head. "Yeah a few burn marks here and there but I heal fast."

"O-oh right." He tucked her hair behind her ear. "Are you?" She shifted her attention avoiding his gaze. She pull up her hand. "I got a slight burn but you know I heal fast." She replied with a wink. He rolled his eyes.

They stood silent. "Thank you." Her eyes widen. "For what?" She raise an eyebrow.  "For coming to my rescue." She let out a small giggle. "You did it for me I thought I repay you back. That what friends are for right?"

"Yeah, friends..." He muttered as she didn't seem to notice.
