Nolean woke up listening to the birds tweet and the wind howl gently. She had a gentle smirk on her face. As she sat up she realize there was a bird on her it was a crow. "Mr. Crow!" She spoke excitedly. She bird flutter off her and onto the old chest. "Where have you been?" She let out a yawn. Another bird flew in a bit smaller then him. She gasp "You have a wife!" The bird crow loudly she heard it say yes. She froze in shock.

I can talk to birds now? She thought surprised. She quickly shook it off.
"Well she gourgeous." She went to go pet the bird but he peck her hand making her retract her hand rubbing it. "What was that for?" She pouted. It squak the word school.

"There isn't school...I think?" She quickly turn in her phone to see she was bombarded my miss phone calls and text messages. She look to see it was Monday and school was already over. "Oh no, no, no I'm going to get in trouble with Aunt Jenna even more " The birds squak repeatdly as they were laughing at her. She turn her head facing them with a upset glare. "That the last time I feed you pieces of bread." She swoosh the birds away bidding them bye. She put back her covers and pillow shoving her phone in her pocket making it down the ladder. As she turned she was surrounded by animals.

"I feel like I just walk out of a Disney movie." She quickly went to pet all the animals or talk to them briefly. She felt bad as they beg her to stay and play but she promise next time to she would.

She open the front door trying to sneak in to see no one home. She did a fist pump to the air running straight into her room in victory. She lock the door behind and made sure she lock her window aswell. She quickly took a hot shower and threw herself in a towel.

She heard knocking at her door she stay silent panicking.

"Nolean open this door right now!" It was Aunt Jenna. Maybe if I act like I'm not here she won't knotice. She tip toed to her closet picking out clothing. "Nolean Rosemary Gilbert I know your in there!" She sigh. "I don't want to talk about it."

She was now worried Nolean was always open with her. She put on a simple outfit. "Are you hurt?" She ask softly. "No I'm fine." Jenna got an idea. "Do you want to come with me for a burger?" Nolean scramble to the door shoving glasses onto her face peep out. "Really?" She put out her pinky. "I promise." Nolean hesitated before linking her pinky with hers. "Okay."

They were heading to the bar when Nolean spotted Damon from a distance she began to turn away when Jenna pull her. She gasp out "Kelly? Kelly Donovan?"

"Jen!" They both hug then pull away. Damon sat up looking at Nolean as she look away nudging Jenna as she talk with Matt mother. "B-ur-ger"

"I heard you were back in town." She pull on her hand lightly still tryna get her attention. "F-r-i-e-s," She turned to Nolean. "She used to babysit me."

"And then I party with her." She look at Damon. "This woman was crazy."

"Not as crazy as you though." Jenna pull Nolean cheek as she wince smaking her hand. "Not anymore I'm responsible now."

"Come on drink." Nolean pouted as she just wanted her food. "By the way who pretty girl?" She took a seat down. "Can't you recognize that little Nolean." She gasp realizing. "Oh my god your even more cuter then you were when you were as a kid." She pull on her cheeks as she sulk.

"This is not gonna end well..." She muttered. "Hey put my burger and fries on my irresponsible guardian."

"Nolean!" She squeal then chuckled.

She was now full on sulking she didn't think she would be here till night she could of been reading a book, talking to the crows, and maybe had some hot chocolate. "Nolean lighthen up." Jenna nudge her she took another shot. "I'm gonna go I'll catch up with you at home."

"Nolean..." She sighed. "What wrong with her?" Jenna look at the two. "She been in a sulky mood ever since she got home I don't know what to do at all." She put her hands to her head. Damon took this as his chance. "Why don't I talk to her?" She look up sniffing. "Really?" He nod. Before the drunken aunt Jenna could pull him into a hug he went over to the little gilbert.

She was already outside a few feet away when Damon pop up infront of her she stumble back. "J-just leave me alone." She went to try and walk around him but he grab her wrist making her shift her eyes.

"Damon let her go." She look behind to see Stefan. He look down at the small girl to see her lips tremble. "Sorry no can do I have bussiness to take care off." She shifted her attention to him. "He didn't tell you?" She squeak out rubbing her neck gently.

Damon eyes widen putting the pieces together. He now had Stefan against the wall. "Damon!" She pulled on his arm. "It's okay I'm safe I ran before he could do anything, please just let him go." His eyes flicker between the two. "Damn it." He drop Stefan taking her hand. "Your staying with me where I can keep an eye on you." She nodded before they walk back in as he order her some food to eat.

Nolean look to her phone as she got a text message from Elena.

She look over to him pulling on his jacket. "Damon..." He was still chattering away. She boop his nose making him give her a confused look. "Your so wasted, but besides that a man just called Elena, Katherine."

He sigh stealing a french fry. "Who cares." She frown crossing her arms. "I do plus you should too that means there another vampire around." She whisper. "Relax she will be fine you have weird mojo powers and she has Stefan."

She kick his leg. "What was that for!" He rub his leg. "That for flirting with Matt mom while I next to you. I suggest you stop you don't know if she has a disease from how many men she slept with."

"I willing to take that chance." She watch them exchange a cherry between each other lips. She gag turning away from him. "That will be are cue to leave. Come on Nolean." She got up from her stool not bothering to say bye to Damon.

Jenna stumble down the cement as her heel broke. "Oh Jenna not the heels." Jenna groaned. "Dammit stupid shoe." A guy who was standing next to a lamp post approach the two. "Need some help?" Nolean look up nodding her head. "Can you watch her while I pull up the car so she dosn't hurt herself?" They guy look at her wide eyed before shaking his head. "Yeah anything for you."

She took the cars keys from Jenna purse leaving quickly to pull up the car. The man turn to Jenna. "Was that Damon Salvatore you were with?"

She nod. "Yeah the one and only, you know him?" He look down at her. "We go way back. He stills lives by middle lane?" She sway thinking for a bit. "He lives in the old boarding house by wickery bridge. He still in there if you wanna say hi."

"Mmm... I rather stay her and talk to you." She raise an eyebrow. "Smooth with the flirt but I'm a little drunk and a hot guy plus drunk me equal very bad things." He pull her hair to the side looking her in the eyes. "Pretty sure you like it." She chuckled clutching her stomach. "Sorry that was a pretty lame pick-up."

"Aunt Jenna!" Nolean called out stepping out the car. She turned to the man. "Thanks for looking out for her she um tispy but a sweetie." She cooed at her as Jenna smiled embarrassed. She grab her hand leading her into the car and locking in her seatbelt closing the door then going into her side.

"So what did you talk about?" Nolean question as she began to drive.

Nolean scramble inside needing to call and warn the Salvators brothers. "Aunt Jenna I will go get you some pills and water. Go take a cold shower and go to sleep." Jenna ruffle the girl hair. "Your the sweetest." She went up stairs as Nolean went to walk into he kitchen to see Jeremy standing at the entrance. "Jeremy?" She question confused.

"Nolean...How you been?" She squint her eyes. "Move and I will tell you." He hesistated before stepping to the side. She went straight to the cabinet taking out a glass cup and two pills. She then went into the fridge taking out water and pouring it into the glass.

Jeremy wash his hands flushing the blood out.

"Jenna is drunk, Damon making out with Matt mother and Elena on a double date with Caroline which we know it going to take a turn like come on its Caroline and I sat there eating food because I forgot my book."

"You forgot your book?" He raise his eyebrow as he wrap his hand in a towel. She place the water back into the fridge. "I know odd stuff. I think I need more sleep." It went silent between them. "Well I'm going to do what I need to do then go to bed." She kiss Jeremy cheek. "Goodnight Jeremy."

"Night little Nolean." She turn her head before sticking her tounge out going upstairs and leaving Jenna pull and water in her cabinet before going to her room and grabing her phone out of her pocket calling Damon but it went to voicemail. "Damon pick up the fucking call the Vampire knows where you live and is coming after you just please be safe with Stefan."

She ended the call sighing before locking her window and changing going straight to sleep.
