Zoe and I walk side by side to Nick who is coming down from the stairs from the observation room and he asks us both to follow him. "From what we can tell from her strength she might've been tested with a form of the super serum when she was younger." I look over at her then back at Nick "but I thought the serum still doesn't exist?" I questioned "remember we did tell you some people tried to replicate the serum, Zoe was most likely given one pretty close to the one given to you." Nick stated. "Is that the only reason I'm good in track?" she asked disappointingly "Zoe it's ok the serum must've been given to you when you were younger so you might've been good in track without it." I told her while patting her on the back and she just glanced up and smiled. "What are the odds that a girl with a similar super serum was adopted by the man with the first good serum." She wondered aloud "Now we believe that your parents may have been killed because of the serum." Zoe who seemed mad at that statement glared up at Nick "What do my birth parents have to do with this?" She quietly shouted. "How old were you when the accident happened?" Nick questioned her "I don't know like 5 or 6..." Answered Zoe. "What do her parents have to do with anything?" I asked confused in their 'argument?' Nick took his focus off of Zoe and onto me "if we know Zoe's age when the accident happened then we can estimate how old she was when she received the serum. Also we think her parents could've been SHIELD agents trying to transport the serum to us, someone might not of wanted the serum to reach us so they destroyed it along with her parents." Stated Nick "well if they tested their own daughter instead of putting themselves at risk then I don't think they had the right to call Zoe their daughter." Zoe looked at me for a minute with a straight face then her face lit up like a Christmas tree which told me a joke was coming "to be fair you did try to keep the you being a dinosaur secret from me." She joked "your never gonna let go of the fact I'm a 95 year old are you?" I chuckled. "Back to more serious matter." Nick said as Zoe shot him another glare "it's good to know she was given the serum and not her parents." I looked at him "why's that?" I asked him "the serum kept you alive in the ice for 70 years, well the serum is what kept her alive in the car crash and when she was beaten up and it would be hard for you to adopt an adult wouldn't of been." Nick said "I would've adopted Zoe with or without the serum and I didn't know about the serum till now so it's kinda obvious I would've adopted her without it."
