I felt my paws clash against the hard, dry African ground. The air was pumping through my lungs quickly, in and out, in and out. I jump over a boulder and land on the ground with grace. My paws don't make a sound as they continue to make contact with the earth, my permanently exposed claws help with the almost silent steps.

"Vitani, wait!" I manage to yell as I chase after her. She quickens her pace and throws dust into my face. I groan, halting my quick steps and I rub my shoulder over my eyes to get the nasty dust out of them. I hear Vitani sigh and her steps are slow and steady. I can hear her coming closer but I ignore her since she pissed me off with her lame way to get rid of me.

"Sorry. " She sniffles and sits next to my resting body. I shrug and continue to rub my burning eyes.

"Here let me he-" She begins but I cut her off.

"No. You're so selfish, Vitani." I growl and finally get all the dust out from my eyes. Her eyes narrow and she scoots away from me.

"Excuse me?" She growls.

"You found your family, the family that has been looking for you for years may I add, and you refuse to let them into your life." I turn my head to look at her better.

"Tama and Tojo aren't my family. They are liars. " She retaliates and this time I get up and face her sitting body.

"Vitani, whether you like it or not Tama and Tojo are your parents and Shanni is your sister."

"No! My mother was Zira and my father was Scar! Who's side are you on?" She says now yelling and rises to her full height.

"This isn't a matter of picking sides! It's about your family, your blood! How could you just-"

"Did you know?" She asks cutting my words short and unexpectedly.

"Nala told me about two months or so ago. " I admit and look down at her beautiful, gloomy face.

"Why didn't you tell me?" She whispers sending chills up and down my body.

"It wasn't my place to tell you about something like that. I can tell you what I know if you'd like. " I explain with a much softer voice. She looks away and stares at the ground. I flick my ears back and bring my snout over to her cheek and lightly lick it.

A single tear rolls down her perfect, dirty blonde, cheek. I nudge her lightly with my nose and she flicks her rimmed ears back. I sigh and let my body relax, I plan on sitting here until Vitani decides to talk about it.

Okay so sitting here while the rain pours heavily over us in the middle of Africa wasn't my plan. Vitani hasn't moved from her staring position only a few inches away from my body. I currently have a palm tree branch in my mouth and have it over Vitani's slim figure. She is wet of course, but only slightly because I'm trying my best to cover her.

"Tani?" I manage to say with the damned branch in my mouth. Her ears twitch and flick towards the sound of my voice. Her eyes follow but they're glossed over with tears and something more....it's a barrier ready to cave in any second. My ears flop down and my view drops to the muddy floor. I hate seeing her like this, it's so out of her character.

"It hurts." She mumbled and for a second I feel something inside of me break. I sigh and carefully shuffle closer to Vitani with the branch still hovering over her body. I place my head over her small one and almost instantly she swats the branch away and crashes her head onto my chest, tears stream down her cheeks and onto my long mane. I wrap my right paw around her leg and let her release everything that has been trapped inside her for so long.

The rain continued to pound against our bodies and the lightening and thunder showed us how mad the sky was. Vitani cried for a good ten minutes before she finally stopped and pulled away from me. She licked her dry nose and sniffled before sighing.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" She asked once again with more determination in her words.

"I told you, it isn't my place, but I can tell you if you'd like." She nods and flicks her ears towards me. A drop of water lands on my nose and I shake my fur.

"Let's go someplace dry first?" I suggest and again she nods and together we walk over to a large cave. I sniff it out and realize it's abandoned, I'll tell Beba about this place soon. I sit down and shake my fur once more accidentally wetting Vitani, but she doesn't yell at me, instead she shakes herself off and sits a foot away from me.

"Tell me." She demands and I sigh for the one hundredth time today.

"When Scar was king, he wanted only for his blood line to rule," I begin "and when Zira gave birth to Nuka, he wasn't satisfied because of how weak he looked. He tried to have another child with Zira but she couldn't have anymore cubs and when Scar found out he tried to mate with as many females in the pride as he possibly could. None of them became pregnant and when he tried to mate with Nala, she ran away."

"What does that have to do with me?" She asked with squinted eyes.

"Let me finish." I groaned and earned an eye roll from Vitani, "anyways, the years passed and Mheetu was born, Scar attempted to kill him seeing that he wasn't his son and then three years passed and Shanni was born, Tama gave her to Tojo who was later attacked by hyenas and lost Shanni when she was a few years of age, then you were born after many, many years and Tama tried her best to protect you, to keep you away from Scar's wrath and Zira's jelousy but Zira found you and drove Tama out of the PrideLands. She kept you and fooled Scar into thinking that you were his, no one told you this because we all knew you wouldn't believe us. We didn't ever plan on hurting you, Vitani." I explain as quickly and as painlessly as I could. She looked away and looked at the cold, dry cave floor for a while, her eyes shifted back and forth as if trying to put the pieces of the shattered puzzle together.

Suddenly voices were heard, they were calling our name. We whipped out heads up at the same time as did our ears and we walked to the mouth of the cave to see Shanni, Mheetu, Nala, Simba, Beba, Kovu, Tama, and Tojo searching for us in the pouring rain. I began to walk into the rain but Vitani stayed put, I don't blame her.

"Guys!" I yelled and all their heads turned towards my voice simultaneously.

"Tanabi!" They yelled with relief in their voices and they walked over to me and quickly gave me a once over, probably to see if Vitani caused me any physical damage which she obviously didn't.

"Where is she?" Nala asked after licking my nose.

"In there, but I think you guys should-Shanni! No!" God she is just like her sister...I don't know how I feel about that.

I ran after the golden maned lioness and stopped at the mouth of the cave when I heard growling...it was coming from a very pissed off Vitani. Well, this should end well.

"Get out!" Vitani snarled. May the games begin.

"Why are you so mad? It's not my fault your adoptive mother was a crazy, obsessive, conceited-" Shanni would have finished her ranting but Vitani bitch-slapped her across the jaw sending the feline across the cave. I was about to intervene but Vitani gave me such a look that I had to step back and let her inner OutLander escape, though it scared me, I knew that if I tried to stop her Vitani would never be the same again. She growled and dashed over to Shanni's resting body and pounced on her. Shanni groaned but quickly pushed her off causing Vitani to land on her back with a loud oomph.

Just then, Simba, Nala, Tama, Tojo, Kovu, Mheetu, and Beba ran into the cave and the look on Mheetu's face is heartbreaking. He's about to attack Vitani but I place my abnormally huge paw in front of him, stopping his actions.

"We can't just let them rip each other apart." He growled from the very pit of his stomach.

"Just, just, let them work it out."

"Are you insane?!" He bellowed and jumped over my paw. This time I jump in front of him and tower over his broad body, I am much taller than him but his body build up is much more muscular than mine.

"I am insane, actually. So unless you want my insane self to go off on you, I suggest you let them fight it out." He looked from me to the girls behind me fighting then back to me. He slowly turned around and stood next to Nala. We stood in horror as Shanni and Vitani clawed, bit, scratched, snarled and growled at each other. Vitani would claw at Shanni's longer bangs and Shanni bit at her sisters replica ears. Vitani had enough of this back and forth and finally threw Shanni off of her and against the wall. Vitani breathed heavily and looked down at the ground as her legs twitched with exhaustion. Shanni groaned and attempted to pick herself up but failed and her chin collided with the hard cave floor. We watched helplessly but Mheetu managed to break free and jogged over to Shanni, he lightly nudged her snout and Shanni groaned with closed eyes. From where I am standing I can only see a few scratches on Shanni's back and legs but it's nothing serious. Vitani was going to walk away but when she saw that Shanni was getting up she gasped and ran over to Shanni, grabbed her by the scruff of the neck and threw her a foot away. Mheetu gasped and lost it, he slapped Vitani across the face, she recovered easily and snarled at him. Mheetu then threw himself on top of her and pinned her to ground, snarling and revealing sharp teeth. I couldn't take it anymore! I ran over to where Mheetu was hovering over Vitani and I pushed Mheetu right off and stood above Vitani in a protective stance. He got up and glared at me, I knew that things between him and I were never going to be the same.

He shook his fur and took steps towards me, I held my head high making me tower over him even more. Mheetu took quicker steps towards me but once he got too close I took a step and said,

"Enough, we are brothers and brothers don't fight." His pale teal eyes soften and then he turns away and walks over to Shanni who is still on the ground. I sigh and look down at Vitani, her almost violet eyes are full of tears, I lower my head to her and lightly nudge her angular nose. She looks up at me and I give her a disappointed look, Vitani then covered her beautiful face with my leg and saw her body shake. Kovu then came from the group of horrified adults and softly licked her cheek, I saw as her tear stained face went from angry to upset and she crawled out from under me and nuzzled into her younger brothers fur. She sobbed into his chest as he held her and licked her head slowly, trying to calm her violent sobs and gasps for air. Tama and Tojo looked at each other than at me, I shook my head and then looked over at Simba and Nala. Simba was looking back and forth from Shanni to Vitani, he looked confused and terrified, he then sighed and let his head hang then slowly he shook it. I know exactly how you feel Simba, family isn't always by blood, it's about love and right now the only love radiating around the cave is mine and Kovu's towards Vitani and Mheetu's towards Shanni.

I watched as Vitani had her ears back and her eyes closed as she continued to cry loudly into her brothers chest, I don't care if they are or aren't related Kovu was her brother before and he still is now. Nothing is changing that. Just then Kiara, Makuma, Haunani and Muna walked into the cave, I guess they heard the commotion and followed the sound over to us.

"What the hell happened?" Kiara asked with worry in her red-brown eyes. The cubs all walked over to Beba, who was silent throughout this whole dramatic scene.

"She, w-will never, be my sister. Ever!" Vitani yelled as she ran out of the cave and this time I won't chase after her, she wants to be alone and that is what she going to receive. She can't keep pushing people away, she just can't.

Hello my Love Bugs!!!!! I know, I know it has been forever and I apologize deeply for that! Blame stupid school :). Anyways, I know this chapter is pretty short and boring but I wanted to have something up and not have you all waiting a year and a half for a chapter.
