Shanni has been recovering from the high fall pretty well thanks to Mheetu. She's actually not as bad a person as she assumed to be, she's actually really funny and cool. Shanni shared her story and we understand her a bit better now. Shanni was separated from her mother at a young age and has been looking for her for years, she says that she got her red eye from her and her blue one from her father.

Shanni is twenty-two years old, only three years younger than Mheetu. Speaking of Mheetu and Shanni the two of them are getting closer and closer everyday and have become almost inseparable, they aren't together or anything they're more like best friends that have a thing for each other and refuse to admit it.

"Tanabi?" My ears flick to my left as does my head. Vitani is laying next to me watching the sunrise over the Savanna.

"Yes?" I ask smiling at the most beautiful lioness. I have no idea if we're together or not but whatever we are I love it.

"Do you hear that?" She asks with her electric blue eyes shinning with worry. I furrow my brows and move my ears forward to listen to the surroundings and pick up on multiple paws pounding against the ground. I look back down at Vitani and lick her cheek before getting up.

"Where are you going?" Vitani's raspy voice fills my ears making me want more of it.

"See who's making the noise."

"Let me g-''

"No, I need you to stay here so if there's danger you can help them get away." I cut Vitani off and receive a death glare but she doesn't say anything.

I take timid steps towards the bushes, my exposed claws make my steps almost silent.

"Who's there?" I growl stopping my steps.

"It's okay, Tanabi. It's only us." I instantly relax when I see Simba and Nala and some lioness and lion whom I have never met before, but she is very beautiful with her golden fur tone, cream underbelly, pink nose and the most beautiful pair of hazel eyes I have ever seen. The male has a golden mane with peircing blue eyes that look similar to Vitani's, a dark gold fur with a dark cream underbelly, paws, and snout. Both very beautiful lions.

"Hi Nala, Simba. " I smile at the king and queen then at the strangers who return a bright one.

"Tanabi, these are our childhood friends Tama and Tojo." Simba explains and my stomach drops to my butt. These are Vitani's parents.

"Tanabi? Sweetheart, are you alright?" Nala asks with worried teal eyes.

"Th-these are Vi-Vitani's parents?" I stutter falling on my butt to take a few breathes. These are her parents, the two people that created her. Vitani doesn't know this! I think I'm going to have a heart attack, are they going to bombard her with the news? Are they going to make me do it?

"How does he-" Simba begins but then stops when realization hits him. Simba turns around and looks at Nala with a 'did you do it?' look and she shrugs.

"He has the right to know." Nala says and then starts walking towards me. "There's something else you and her don't know." Oh great, simply perfect! More things to put into my head that will surely drive me insane.

"What is it?" I gulp.

"Vitani has a sister,'' I think I'm going to be sick, "her name is Shanni." I stand up and hide behind a bush and let last nights zebra revisit the world.

"Oh my God! Tanabi! Are you okay." I hear Nala ask from behind me but I can't answer her since I'm a bit...busy. The vomit just keeps coming up and by the time I'm done my head hurts and I need a mint leaf for the horrid breath I must have now.

"Shanni? Does she have a golden fur and mismatched eyes?" I ask after Simba ripped a mint leaf from the ground and gave it to me to chew on.

"H-how did you know that?" Tama asks with tears in her beautiful hazel eyes.

"Because I know both of your daughters."

We walked together back to my current resting place after the awkward silence.

"Wait here, please." I tell Tama and Tojo who nod and stand in place behind a bush. Me, Simba, and Nala walk together towards my..pride? I like the sound of that.

"Daddy." Kiara chirps as she skips towards her parents and nuzzles into them. "What are you guys doing here?" She asks with a smile.

"Can't we pop up from time to time without there being a reason?" Simba asks earning a shove from Nala. Kovu gets up and greets the king and queen, then Mheetu, Beba, Haunani, Makuma, Muna and Vitani. Shanni stands behind the large rock we all sleep on.

"Shanni, it's okay. They won't hurt you." Mheetu assure her and slowly she walks over to Simba and Nala.

"Hello, I'm Nala." She introduces herself with a beautiful smile and receives a soft one from Shanni.

"I'm Simba, it's nice to meet you." He says as he lightly touches his paw with hers a sign of trust and friendship.

"I'm Shanni, it's nice to meet you both.'' The ruthless lioness blushes and I realize how much she and Vitani have in common, both are amazing hunters, beautiful, born fighters, and have similar traits like the small tuft, the freckles, the way they move their heads to side when they blush. The only differences between them are the eyes, Vitani has rimmed ears while Shanni doesn't, Vitani has an angular nose and Shanni has a downward curved, flat, and rounded one. Vitani has exposed claws and Shanni's aren't, surprisingly, and Shanni is a bit darker than Vitani.

"Vitani, can you come here for a second?" Simba asks after having a small conversation with Shanni while I was too busy comparing to listen.

"Yeah?" She asks. Simba looks back and forth between her and Shanni and smiles.

"You know Tama right?" He asks getting to point and for a second I want to punch him in the throat for being so blunt.

"Of course I do, she's a PrideLander." Vitani answers cocking her head to side to try and figure out where Simba is headed with this.

"Tama, Tojo you can come out now." They emerge from the bushes and I watch as Shanni's body becomes stiff and tense. She knows them, I have no doubt in my mind she recognizes her parents.

"Shanni?" Tama asks with tears in her eyes.

"Mom." She states and runs towards her long lost parents.

"Oh, I've missed you so much." Tama chokes out as Shanni crashes into her chest and wraps one of her paws around Tama's leg. Tojo begins to lick his daughters head causing the three of them to burst into tears.

"It's been years since I've held you." Tojo says with electric blue eyes producing large tears.

"God, it's been ten years since I've last seen you two." Shanni says pulling away.

"It's been too long." Tama says with her soft voice and places her forehead against Shanni's and Tojo places his head on Shanni's back and then lifts his right paw and wraps it around her.

After a few moments of their embrace they pull away and lick each other's tears away.

"I must introduce you to my friends." Shanni squeaks as she licks her nose and leads her parents to our large group.

"This is Beba and his kids. This is Haunani, Makuma and Muna, aren't just the sweetest little things you've ever seen?" Tama and Tojo lightly touch each of their paws and Beba smiles. Haunani smells them and then smiles. Makuma hides behind his older brother but finally comes out and plays with the beautiful couple, Muna has already begun to mess with their tails. They are such lively cubs.

"This is Kovu and Kiara, the future king and queen of the lands but you already knew that." They chuckle and greet them with a rub of the forehead.

"He's Tanabi, one of the bravest lions I have ever met." Shanni smiles, Tama and Tojo smile and touch my paw even though I have already been introduced to them.

"She's Vitani, she's the best fighter here." Tama rubs foreheads with her since she knows her a bit better than Tojo, while he touches her paw.

"And this, this is Mheetu, my hero." Shanni says with stars in her eyes and she nuzzles into his mane while Mheetu blushes.

"It's nice to meet you guys.'' Mheetu smiles revealing his teeth and they laugh.

"Any friend of my daughters is a friend of ours." Tojo says with a playful look on his face. Tama hugs him and then Tojo does the same. They're so chill, wait 'till Vitani hears the news and goes ape shit.

We layed in a circle for an hour before anyone mentioned anything about Vitani which honestly is starting to piss me off, they reunited with Shanni and had a nice moment as a family but they haven't had that moment with Vitani even if it doesn't go that way.

"Vitani?" Tama asks and I know what is coming next, so I placed my paw over hers and feel her lean into me.

"Yes?" I can feel the vibration of her raspy voice.

"Do you miss Zira?" Vitani removes her head from me and looks at Tama with a confused look on her face.

"I mean, she was my mother after all of course I miss her time to time. Why?" Oh, please take it easy on her.

"What if..what if I told you she wasn't your mother?" Oh God.

"I'd say you're lying, she was my mother. It was Kovu who was adopted." She clarifies.

Tama shakes her head and looks at the ground.

"Is that what she told you? That she was your mother?"

"Okay, what is going on? Why the sudden interest in my mother?" Vitani asks getting angry.

"Because she isn't your mother Vitani. I am." The whole savanna grows silent except for the few crickets chirping and the wind wooshing.

"You're lying." Vitani says getting up.

"She took you from me and drove me out from the PrideLands, Vitani she took you when you were a few months old." Tama explains while placing one paw over Tojo and the other over Shanni's.

"No." She mutters and I see her eyes flick left and right. "No!" She yells and runs off. We all stand up and call her name but we only see as she runs away from the truth.

"Vitani." I whisper and begin to chase after her.

I knew she would do this, I knew Vitani would run away. She doesn't need something like this so sudden to hit her, she doesn't need drama in her life nor do I want her to go through anything alone. She is mine and it's my job to keep her safe from the cruel world around her.
