Backstory:

in the elevator going up, William and Nicole feel the tension from Elijah and Zhu.  Who were looking at each other with the detective not being satisfied on the reasons why Elijah left the force. While he was tired of explaining him as he crossed his arms and raised an eyebrow. While Zhu narrowed her eyes at the ex-detective in reponce.
"Oh. My. God...will you two just fuck and make up already? You can cut the tension with a knife in here" Nicole said while William held back a laugh. As Elijah and Zhu looked at her in surprise while blushing before looking at each other. As they made it to their floor, to which William and Nicole stepped out first while heading off. With Elijah and Zhu stepping out after them while side by side and looking forward for a moment. As Elijah sighed, "I...do think about you from time to time to time *Zhu looks at him* sometimes I think on what would have happened if I never left. We probably would have still been together, shite. I probably would have purposed to you too...but at the end of the day. I made my choice to leave for good reasons...but I regret not asking you to come with me. Despite me knowing that you love the force, for that I am sorry Zhu. To say I don't miss you would be a lie" he said before looking at a surprised Zhu. Who sighed with a calm expression before taking Elijah's hand while they faced each other. "I think about you a lot too...when you left. I confused and angry, still feel that way..maybe when we get out of this situation. We can take a break and talk" she replied as Elijah smiled and nodded before they headed off to where William and Nicole were. "And I missed you too, Elijah" Zhu added as Elijah chuckled in response while Zhu giggled with him.
