Chapter Two: I Need You.

The sun shines over New Ninjago City and the ninja all take advantage of their day off. Kai & Lloyd head off into town. Lloyd for the arcade & Kai for a movie. Zane goes to visit Cyrus Borg. Misako heads off visit Garmadon's old monestary. Wu goes with Misako and leaves Jay & Cole to look after the bounty. Cole lounges out, watching TV, while Jay locks his bedroom door before going into his true form.

Jay then prances over to his bed after admiring his fur in the mirror. As he lays down on the bed, he sighs. He actually missed the cave he grew up in. He looked across the room at Cole's bed. Zane shared with Kai and Jay with Cole.

A knock sounds at the door after the nob jiggles. "Come on Jay! Why must you always lock me out?!" Cole yells. Jay rolls his eyes. Humans agitated him to no end.

Cole bangs on the door. He had to admit, he liked Jay, like a lot. He'd had a thing for the blue ninja since about say.... Everything that happened with Chen's Island. But what the black ninja didn't have a thing for was Jay's obsession with locking himself in the room!

For the entire time Cole knew Jay, the motormouth always did this! Jay got out of bed and changed back to human before opening the door. "What do you want Cole?" Jay asks, annoyed. Cole watched how Jays head bounced from this way that when he talked with sass. Cole noted Jay's royal blue eyes and tinny facial futures. Jay did always look rather feminine for a male.

When Cole thought about Jay, all his troubles went away. He couldn't help but give Jay a smile. Jay looked annoyed. First Cole beat on the door, sounding angry, and now he was smiling! Jay couldn't understand human body language either! Cole's was the most confusing!

Kai always obsessed over his head fur, Wu was just plain confusing, Misako would flirt with Wu even though she already had a mate, Lloyd would be tough one second then shy the next, Cole would inch closer then inch further away, the same damn thing Lloyd did to Kai! Nya, it seemed, was the only one he could understand!

And then she let herself start to like Cole even though she had agreed to let Jay court her! He honestly was about to give up on her.

"Cole, earth to Cole!" Jay says, waving a hand in front of the earth ninja. Cole snapped out of his daze and looked at Jay. "You all there buddy?" Jay asked. Cole nodded then walked away. Had he really just daydreamed about having sex with Jay?! And while Jay was right in front of him to!

Cole blushed like mad as he walked down the hall. He loved Jay... But he didn't know what Jay's sexuality was! Oh, and Jay was with Nya to!

Jay raised a brow at Cole's retreating form. "Thus, one of the examples for why I just don't get humans!" Jay says before locking himself in the room again. He shifts back to wolf and paces while grumbling about how confusing humans are.

Nya ended up knocking on the door. "Jay, you in there?" She asked. He looked to the door. "Yeah, why?" He asked. "I was wondering... If we could go to the park?" She asks shyly. Jay couldn't say 'no' to her. "Sure! Just... Let me get dressed!" He calls and Nya smiles. "Great! I'll wait on the deck!" She says then walks away.

Nya spots Cole looking off to the distance with a dreamy look and giggles. "Aren't you Mr. Macho?" She asks him playfully. Cole jumps at the sound of her voice. He hadn't even noticed that she came out. "Nya! You scared me!" He yells. Nya rolls her eyes then looks over the deck herself.

"So... Who is the lucky girl that has you acting like your from a bad chick flick?" Nya asks. Cole rolls his eyes. "Haha, very funny." He says annoyed. Nya laughs. "It... She.... Isn't... A.... Um.... She.... Per say...." Cole admits. Nya's eyes go wide & she gasps then squeals. "Who is he?!" She asks happily.

Oh, how she hopped it was Kai! Her brother had always been bisexual, and was in the dumps lately. He was looking for a relationship, but didn't want a girl. They were all to squeal-y for his tastes. If Cole was into him then she could set them up & Kai would be out of this funk.

Cole blushes. He couldn't tell her that he liked her boyfriend! "Oh... Um.... Well.... Uh...." He stutters. Kai lands on the opposite side of the deck. "KAI!" Cole shouts as answer. Hoping Kai is straight like he thinks.

Nya's smile grows. Kai walks over. "You are never sending me on a blind date again Nya!" He yells at her. "Oh, come on Kai! Just one more!" She pleads with him. "Nya!" He says sternly. "One more! And then I'm done!" She says. Kai thinks a bit. "Fine, but that's it. Do I make myself clear?" He asks. Nya nods. Kai walks away. Jay comes out.

"Hey Nya!" Jay says excitedly as he races over. "Jay!" Nya says in excitement herself. "Jay." Cole says, still blushing. "Oh, hey Cole!" Jay says in his usual light hearted manner. Cole smiles. How he loved Jay.

Jay & Nya leave for their date and Cole groans. He knew how Jay felt about Nya!  So why did he kid himself?! He grumbles when Lloyd shows up. "Hey Cole!" Lloyd says, walking over. "Sup." Is Cole's only reply. "Have you seen Kai?" Lloyd asks. "Yeah, he just got here. I think he went inside." Cole answers. Lloyd nods then heads off. "Thanks Cole!" Lloyd shouts back as he races to the door.

Cole sighs, then does one of the three things he has always done to relieve stress. He sings. "I fell when I saw you. I loved that look in your eye. I knew then... You'd never betray me. I knew then... That I loved you. How did I never see it before? My love for you.... How had I missed it? Am I a fool?" A tear falls down his cheek. "I loved you..... And then let her take you. I regret that now! I need you! I need you hear with me!" The tempo picks up. "Your the lightning for my storm! The gem to my stone!  The pulse of my heart! And the  one I need!" Tempo goes back down. "Oh, I lost you. But... Did I ever have you? I never did act, on these feelings of mine." Cole wipes away his tears. "I need you. I need you here, in my arms. Your the one for me, the one I live for." He falls to his knees. "You are all of me! The one I need! I.... Need.... You..." His song ends and he begins to cry.
