Jack reloads his rifle.

Jack: "The don't stay down..."

The zombies charged at them with a screams, moans, and low growls of fury.

They fight off the undead with their guns, swords, knives, and their fists. Cal impales one in the head and his other sword at another's head. Emily blasts them one by one as they disintegrate. Kai slashes one head off and throws multiple emerald kunai knives at several zombies, instantly killing them. Jack put away his rifle and then punches zombies left and right and finishes by stomping on one of the zombie's head. More screams echoed down the hallways.

Jeff(radio): "There's more coming your way!"

Cal(Caliber): "Let's move before we're surrounded again!"

A zombie appeared behind Cal and went to bite him, but someone shot the zombie in the head. When they went to see, it was one of the missing G.A.P soldiers.

???: "Follow me!" He says as he rubs opposite of them.

Zombies came from behind. They followed the soldier as fast as they could. They followed him into the control room and shut the behind them. Banging could be heard on the other side as zombies yelled and screamed.

Emily(Ms. Nova): "That was close."

Kaleb(Static): "The door won't hold all day."

Cal(Caliber): "Everyone good?"

Kai(Emerald Samurai): "Yeah I'm alright."

Jack turns to look at the G.A.P soldier with 5 other survivors, all of them refugees.

Jack: "Where's the rest of your unit?"

???: "You're looking at it." He says as he points at himself.

Jack looks at the refugees. Two males, one female and two children, male and female.

Male 1: "Is this all that's left?" He asks with distaste.

Kaleb(Static): "Yeah, you got a problem with that?" He asks as he walks towards him.

He doesn't say anything except sits down against a wall.

Cal(Caliber): "What's your name soldier?"

Saren: "Specialist Saren Samuels." He says as he looks at Cal.

Jack: "I know you. You were one of the youngest cadets to graduate the G.A.P course."

Saren looks at Jack and nods with a small smile.

Saren: "Yes, I wanted to follow my brother's footsteps as he became a G.A.P soldier before me."

Male refugee 1: "That's all well and good, how are we supposed to get outta here? We're still trapped." He said as he was a little upset.

Female refugee: "Yeah, what now?" She asks in a gentle tone.

Jack: "Are there any exits from here?" He asks Saren.

Saren: "Besides the door, we could use the ventilation system. Thing is, the other side is filled with Zombies."

Emily(Ms. Nova): "Where is it at?"

Saren raises his wrist computer and a holographic projection of the facility's ventilation system showed.

Saren: "This is the control room. The ventilation that connects from here goes to the barracks. There's lot of undead there, so you'll have to be careful." Saren says as he points at the holographic map.

Jack: "Alright, here's the plan: Caliber, Ms. Nova, Emerald Samurai and Static will go clear out the barracks. I'll be with the survivors and keep this area safe with Saren."

Jeff(Radio): "I'll be your guide as you maneuver inside the ventilation system."

Cal(Caliber): "Alright sounds like a plan."

Kai(Emerald Samurai): "Let's get to it then."

Saren leads them to the vent that they came from. They could hear the faint moans of the dead on the other side.

Jack: "Caliber, you're in charge of taking care of the zombies in the barracks."

Saren: "Good luck."

Cal nods and heads inside. Emily, Kai and Kaleb follow behind him.

AT THE SECURITY ROOM...

Jeff was hacking into the database of the facility to find out more about what happened before it was filled with zombies.

Jeff: "Come on...there has to be something..."

Then Jeff found a file titled "Classified." He clicked on it to find several videos, images, and documents of the facility's purpose. He played a video. It showed a person being shirtless with light blue pants on. He was tied to a table

Avalan scientist 1: "Day 1, Male subject, test 1. We will begin this experiment with injecting the substance into their blood stream and see where it leads to. Begin the procedure."

The scientist says as a machine operator controls a remote control robot arm inside a thick glass chamber injects the dark red substance. The male test subject starts gagging, their eyes rolled back and started having seizures before he laid limp, but unconscious.

Avalan scientist 1: "Procedure complete, now we will wait to see what happens as the substance makes their way throughout the subject's body."

Avalan scientist 2: "Doctor (REDACTED), what is this experiment about?"

Avalan scientist 1: "This experiment will be profitable towards the military for the benefit to our great kingdom. You will see." He says with a cold yet calculated tone.

The video ends.

Jeff: "What the...they experimented on people?"

Jeff goes to watch the next video.

Avalan scientist 1: "Day 4, Male subject, test 2. This test will be their response to physical harm. Send in a armed escort."

A door to the chamber opens and a soldier armed with a pistol walks inside.

Avalan scientist 1: "Shoot at his chest."

Avalan scientist 2: "Are you sure this is wise Doctor?" He asks worriedly.

Avalan scientist 1: "I know what I'm doing, Doctor (REDACTED). Begin soldier." He says a bit angrily.

The soldier nods and aims at the male subject's chest. He fires and the male subject starts groaning in pain before passing out. His heartbeat then went flatline.

Avalan scientist 2: "What a waste...it would appear that you failed, Doctor. This project of yours has gone far enough so I will-"

Avalan scientist 1: "I haven't failed, Doctor (REDACTED). Look." He says as he smiles a bit.

The subject's body starts twitching.

Avalan scientist 1: "Soldier, go inspect the subject's pulse."

The soldier hesitantly nodded and slowly approaching the body. When he went to reached out, the subject's eyes opened wide and he grabbed the soldier by the throat, lifting him from the ground. The soldier was struggling to breathe and shot the subject at the neck, to no effect.

Male subject: "Hehehehehehehehe...fool." He said with a intimidating smile.

He then snapped the soldier's neck and threw him aggressively against the class container, leaving a crack. Then the subject tried punching his way out of the containment room.

Avalan scientist 1: "Gas the room."

The other scientist already went for the gas button and the room started filling up with sleeping gas. Eventually, the subject grew weak and was knocked out by the gas.

Avalan scientist 2: "What the hell just happened?"

Avalan scientist 1: "That my friend...is our new weapon." He said with a small smile.

The video ends.

Jeff: "I have to know more about this...this is something HQ should know. I'll start downloading the information from this computer." He says to himself.

Jeff starts downloading information into a flash drive.

IN THE VENTILATION SYSTEM...

Cal, Kai, Kaleb, and Emily still crawl their way through the vents and finally reached their destination. They jumped down and quickly disposed of the zombies in the barracks.

Kaleb(Static): "That's all of them." He says as he pulls out a knife from a corpse.

Kai(Emerald Samurai): "Yeah. This area is secure."

Emily(Ms. Nova): "Captain, we've secured the barracks." She says on her radio.

Jack(Radio): "Copy, good work. We'll be on our way and evacuate this facility with the survivors."

As Jeff was downloading information, he saw through the cameras that many zombies were heading towards Cal, Kaleb, and Emily's location.

Jeff(Radio): "Be advised, multiple hostile converging on your location!"

Cal(Caliber)(Radio): "How many?"

Jeff(Radio): "Too many." He said with some dread.

Kai(Emerald Samurai): "Now what do we do?"

Jack heard as he then starts pacing back and forth.

Jack: "Lieutenant, I need you to come down here as back-up. How fast can you get here?"

Jeff(Radio): "5 minutes. What's the plan boss?"

Jack: "The others will hold down the barracks for the survivors. Saren will lead the survivors to the barracks while I try to kill as many as I can before the others are overwhelmed. We'll attack from two fronts."

Saren walks up to Jack.

Saren: "That sounds crazy sir! There are many hostiles all over this damn facility. There's no way we can kill all of them!"

Jack: "We'll regroup when we get to the barracks. You guide the survivors in the vents, me and Jeff with try to take off some heat from the others in the barracks. Once we regroup, we're getting the hell outta here." He says with a confident attitude.

Cal(Caliber)(Radio): "We can hold here for awhile, just try to get here when you can as soon as possible boss."

Jack: "Copy. Get the survivors through the vents. I'm going through the doors."

Saren hesitantly nods.

Saren: "Everyone, we're moving out!"

Male 2: "Is it even safe?" He asks with worry.

Saren: "Don't worry, we have friends who'll take care of us."

Male child: "Are we gonna leave mommy?" He looks at her mother.

Female refugee: "Yes my loves, we're gonna get out of this place ok? But you need to brave...be brave for your mother." She said in a gentle manner.

Female child: "Yes mommy." She says a she tries to be brave.

Male child: "Ok mommy."

Male 1: "Let's just get outta here already." He says impatiently.

Saren leads the survivors through the ventilation and Jack leaves to kill zombies. He quickly disposes a few zombies on his way to the barracks and runs swiftly and cautiously. Jeff leaves the security room and goes to the elevator, but it doesn't work. To meet up with Jack, he had to take the stairs. There was a box with a motorcycle inside it and Jeff looks at it with a smile.

Cal and the others leave the barracks and then close it behind them. They prepare as they hear the dead heading their way to them. They saw them coming and charged at them with their weapons.

JACK MAKES HIS WAY TO THE BARRACKS...

(The one that has the assault rifle is Jack and the one with the pistol is Jeff)

As Jeff was holding off some of the zombies, Jack regrouped with the others and killed the remaining zombies that were attacking them. Jeff ran back to them and pants.

Jeff: "More coming this way."

Jack goes on his radio.

Jack: "Saren, you made it to the barracks yet?"

The door to the barracks open, with Saren and the survivors inside.

Saren: "We're ready to go, Captain." He says with a small smile.

A zombie appeared from a grate below them and bit one of the legs of a male survivor. Saren shot the zombie and killed it. Everyone looked at the survivor's leg as it showed a bite mark.

Jeff: "He's been bitten." He says alert like.

Male 1: "I'm fine! It's just a scratch!" He says fearfully.

Male 2: "You know what happens when someone is bitten!"

Kai(Emerald Samurai): "They turn..." He says as he slowly draws out his sword.

Jack aims at the survivor's head, but the male grabs a child and uses her as a human shield and points a gun to her head. The girl starts crying.

Male 1: "Back off! Back off or she gets it!" He says as he afraid and angrily.

Female refugee: "No! Not my daughter!" She cried as she tried reaching to her daughter, but the male survivor pulls her back for her protection.

Male child: "Let my sister go!"

Kaleb(Static): "You son of a bitch." He says angrily as he pulls out his knives.

Cal(Caliber): "Easy! Easy, everyone just calm down."

Male 1: "I want out of here! Try anything and I'll kill her!" He says as he points a gun at them each individually.

The dead sounded to get closer.

Jeff: "Boss...their on their way!"

Kai(Emerald Samurai): "We've gotta move before they overwhelm us!"

Jack: "I know! Alright, listen to me. Let the girl go."

Male 1: "Drop your weapons! Now!"

Emily(Ms. Nova): "There's no way outta this..."

Male 1: "Shut up! Just shut up! I want to live, you're in my way! Now move! Before I have to take this little girl's life away."

Female child: "Mommy...I'm scared...I'm scared."

Female refugee: "I know baby, just look at me, look at me...you're gonna be ok."

He points his gun at the mother and then suddenly a gun shot is heard. The man that was holding the girl hostage dies with a bullet to his eye. Saren was the one who fired the shot. The daughter runs to her mother and embraces her.

Female refugee: "Thank you...thank you for saving my daughter." She says as she cries.

Saren nods.

Jeff: "We have to move!"

Zombies started coming from the hallway and Jeff starts shooting at them. Jack kicks down a door that had a staircase that goes up and down.

Jack: "Everyone up the stairs! Go, go, go!"

The survivors started leaving as Saren lead them up first as Kaleb, Kai, Emily, Cal, Jack and Jeff left in order. Jack and Jeff covered their backs as they continuously shot at the zombies that were chasing them. Cal and the other protected the survivors from the zombies that were getting near the survivors. Saren killed the few zombies that were ahead of them. As they progressed up the stairs, they heard alarms blaring and a voice from the intercom.

Intercom: "Attention, the self destruct sequence has been activated and will ignite in T-minus 10 minutes. All staff please evacuate the facility. If you wish the cancel the self destruct sequence, please insert the cancellation keys into the control center." It repeats the same thing over again.

Kai(Emerald Samurai): "This place is gonna blow?!"

Kaleb(Static): "Why the hell is it activated?!"

Saren: "I don't know but we've gotta move!"

Jack: "Run up the stairs! Double time! Move, move, move!!"

Everyone starts running up the stairs as fast as they could and killing any zombies in their way.

Intercom: "Attention, the facility will ignite in T-minus 3 minutes..."

Jeff: "We're almost there! 7 more floors to go!" He says as he pants.

Emily(Ms. Nova): "We need to keep moving!"

Cal(Caliber): "Hang on, I've got an idea!"

Cal picks up the male survivor and uses his super speed up the stairs and outside. He then grabs the two children and comes back for the mother.

Intercom: "Attention, the facility will ignite in T-minus 1 minute..."

Cal grabs Emily, then Kaleb, then Saren, then Kai, then Jack and finally Jeff. As they were outside, Jeff remembered something.

Jeff: "Cal! In the security room, there's a flash drive that I left in there that's been gathering information about this place! Grab it before it blows up with the base!" He says urgently.

Cal nods and quickly gets the flash drive. He smelled gas as the it ignited on fire and everything started to explode. Ca ran out as fast as he could, just in time as a blast wave shot him out and into the air. He landed on his side and laid down. Kaleb looked at him and from Cal's point of view it looked like he was upside down.

Kaleb(Static): "How's the ground?"

Cal(Caliber): "...comfy."

Kaleb chuckles and sits next to him.

Jack: "Lieutenant, call in an evac chopper."

Jeff: "Yes sir."

Everyone relaxed as they escaped from the base that was surrounded by undead.

Kai(Emerald Samurai): "Not bad for our first mission, eh?"

Emily(Ms. Nova.): "Heh heh, yeah. We did good."

Jack walked up to Saren as he was helping the survivors relax.

Jack: "Saren, a word."

Saren nods and walks towards Jack.

Saren: "Yes sir?"

Jack: "Good job today. Surviving all this, leading survivors to safety...eliminating that infected male."

Saren: "I had to take him out sir. I've seen what happens when something like that occurs. It's how I've watched my team die. But, thank you for your compliments."

Jack: "You know, we could have you as another member of our team. What do you say?"

Saren last eyes widen.

Saren: "I...I don't know, sir. It would be nice to be a part of a team again. But I don't know." He says as he looks down.

Jack: "I understand. Take some time to think about it. The offer stands." He says as he pats Saren's back.

Saren nods and then looks at the others. They all talk, laugh, and lay down on the grass. He smiled a little bit. A helicopter came to pick them up and they went back to base. On the way there, Cal took off his helmet and laid his head back and closed his eyes. He sighs in relief.

Cal: "What a day..." He says with a smile.
