(Y/N) POV

"Gotta buy this...oh and that," I mutter as I pick up soap and other items that we can't make ourselves

I walk to the front counter as the lady checks out my stuff. It's been 10 years since I've been stuck in here. A lot has changed. Kirito continued making this world have more tech. As such, stores have cash registers now

"This stupid thing!" The lady says frustrated

"Take your time, I'm in no rush," I say as she calms down

"Thanks for being so patent (Y/N)," She says as she finely gets it to work

"Eh, no problem," I say as I watch her

"How's Angalo doing, I hear she's almost out of school finally," The lady asks

"She's doing just fine," I say as I grab my items and pay.

Every year, this world becomes more like the real one. Luckily, weapons of mass destruction haven't been introduced, so a Sword is still very relevant for protection

I round the corner and see Dennis walking toward the store

"Hey, Dennis!" I say as he notices me

"(Y/N) what brings you here?" He asks

"Just buying some stuff for Angalo," I say as I smirk,"Soon enough you'll be doing this," I say as his face flushes red

"I'm joking with ya," I say as I lightly punch his shoulder

"What brings you out here?" I ask

"Just grabbing some meds for my ma," He says

"Ah, yes, she is ill if I remember correctly," I say as I think about it

"Yea, her condition hasn't improved yet," Dennis says with a sad face

"Come on, your mother is always so cheerful, I'm sure she'd smack you a good one to wipe that look off your face," I say

"Ya, your right," He mutters

"Well, cya," I say as I leave him

Angalo lived up to the bet. The next day after I taught her how to use lightning, she confessed to Dennis and he felt the same. Ever since then they have been dating.

I walk through the town greeting everyone until I reach the path to my house.

When I got into the house, Angalo was on top of me as soon as I shut the door

"Do you have it!" She asks stressed out

"Yes...I do," I mutter as she goes through the plastic bags from the store. She grabbed a bottle and then left for upstairs quickly

"Have fun with your Acne cream!" I yell as I tease her. A pimple popped up again on her face and she is rushing to put lotion on so others don't pop up.

"Shut up!" She yells heading into the bathroom

"Love you!" I say with the biggest smirk as I leave the house.

It's quiet nowadays. I'm sure that Angalo will be moving out soon. As for Karp and Kent. They already moved away. They went to the Capitol to search for some jobs.

That's one of the biggest downfalls of Kirito's reign over this land. Before, I had the impression that everyone had their own job to do and they were rewarded with a stable life...not anymore.

Much like the real world. There are differences in quality of life depending on how much money you have.

Karp and Kent didn't want to live off of me so they left to start their own lives. As such, once Angalo leaves, I'll be here all alone.

I'm sure Kate would love it here. It's peaceful, the other people are nice. If only she was here with me.

I was making dinner when Angalo walked in

"Can you see it?" She asks concerned as I look around. She really has matured in 2 years...Dennis is in for a good life. And her swords skills have also matured. She can use Bolt whenever she wants too. And I've also taught her some swordplay. But she still has a ways to go

"I can't see a thing, and besides even if I could see it, I'm sure during your date, Dennis wouldn't mind," I say

"No, tonight's special," She says

"It's his mothers birthday," She says as she looks outside toward the town

"I see, I'll make her a cake eh?" I say as Angalo remains silent

"You there?" I ask looking behind me to see her staring outside

A walk over to see what she sees.

I'm surprised, to say the least.

Royal banners line the streets of the town as Guards March down the brick road, with weapons drawn

"This doesn't look good," I mutter as I grab and sling my LongSword over my shoulder.

Both me and Angalo walk to the town to see

"Please don't! She'll get better!" I hear Dennis cry as I round the corner.

About 50 meters down the road, I spot a middle-aged woman, who I recognize as Dennis's Mother, getting dragged out of her house by two large guards

"Dennis!" Angalo calls out as the guards look at her

"Stay back!" They yell. I place my hand on her shoulder and whisper to stay put as I start walking to them

"Stay back," they yell

"Is that a way to speak to a protector of this land," I announce to them

"Like hell your one of them," they speak devilishly

"(Y/N)(L/N), appointed the title of Protector by King Kirito and Queen Asuna," I say as they sound a little unsure

"How do we know it's you," They ask as I draw my sword

"Should be proof enough eh?" I say as they the look at my sword

"What do you want sir?" They ask

"Let the lady go," I demand as they refuse

"I'm afraid we can't, direct orders from the king"

"I'm afraid you can, where is your king?" I ask

"Right here," I hear Kirito behind me

"What's happening," I ask

"We are facing a plague, and to stop spreading it....the victims are killed," He says without emotion. The words echo in my head

"Excuse me?" I ask as he repeats the same thing

"Is this how you save people?" I ask

"I'd rather kill 20 people then watch millions die," He says

"I'm afraid we disagree, and I won't stand by as this lady is killed," I say as Kirito gets a more aggressive look on his face

"Step aside, or I'll be forced to strike you down," Kirito says

"As if," I say as we study each other for a moment.

"that's stupid, why don't we just treat her," I ask

" it's not worth it, it's easier just to kill her, " he says

"what if it was Asuna?" I ask

"she'd get treated...but not her, " he says looking at Dennis's mom

"I'm not gonna let you kill her," I say

"we gave too, " Kirito says

"ok, how bout we fight. If I win you leave her alone. If you win, you can do whatever you want, " I say as Kiritk thinks

"Deal, " he says

I wonder who is gonna win, the Black Swordsman, or the Lightning Swordsmen

"Time to find out," I mutter as I stand my ground

Kirito looks the same, he hasn't aged a bit.

He still has two swords resting on his back, one black, and the other frosty blue.

His arms reach up to grab them, as I draw my Longsword

"Angalo," I mutter as she listens

"Cover your ears," I say as I spot Kirito flinch

Time slows down, I can hear my heavy breathing and his as well. It's just me and him.

I use bolt to rush him, once I'm about a meter away, I prepare my sword as I go to slash him.

Even with my speed, Kirito still reacts fast enough to block the attack.

His black sword and mine hit each other. Kirito doesn't have near as much speed behind his sword as mine does. In theory, with extra weight and Speed, the force of the attack should blow him away.

But it's Kirito we are talking about. His strength alone beats mine by tenfold.

Thunder quickly erupts as the bang of our swords is drawn quiet from my signature move

"Antsy are we?" Kirito asks as I spot his other sword-swinging toward me.

Instead of dodging his attack. I decide to make a statement......a statement that I don't plan on backing down.

I funnel my energy into my sword...the recipe for my Invisible Blade, a blade that moves so fast you can't see it.

Even though it didn't go invisible, I still easily overpower Kirito. The sudden surge of power launches him into the guards, as another crack of thunder is emitted

Time speeds up as I look at the situation.

I didn't notice it, but it started to rain. I look up to the see to see that a storm brewing...and it's starting to bare its fangs as the rain starts pouring

"You really aren't holding anything back are you?" Kirito asks as he recovers

"If I did I'd be insulting you," I say as I hold my sword forward as I get into a stance

"I agree, I'll respect you same and not hold back either," Kirito says as he orders his guards to stand back

"As such, I think getting froze for the last 190 years would suit you well," He says as he holds his ice sword up.

"Release Recollection!" He yells as time once again slows down for me. One by one, I can see the rain droplets freeze. I spot an ice trail heading toward me at a fast rate

I do the only thing I can do to avoid it...I simply avoid it. I've seen him use this before, it freezes anything it touches. Usually, at face value, it looks like it freezes everything all at once. But once I use one of my abilities, I can actually see that it actually makes a trail to what it freezes.

I scatter as I avoid it. To me, this may take seconds or even minutes to avoid. But to everyone else, it happens in a flash

I jump and roll as it chases me. Through the bricks of the path, through the frozen raindrops, finally, I make it to the one place that will stop this...Kirito. I take a dive as I ready my blade to attack

I use all my power to shunt his sword Into the ground. Time resumes as I'm shot into a building. Kirito waits as I recover...at least he still has morals in a battle

"You know...I've always wondered who'd win...me or you," Kirito says

"And I can assure," I say

"It will be me," We both say at the same time as I do another attack. This one is different. I have many different degrees as to what I can use my ability. And different degrees have different effects.

Simply moving fast, a bright flash, a boom of thunder. Thunder that shakes the ground. And finally, full-on Lightning which has all of those.

I hold back nothing as the dark cloud-filled sky lights up. The sound of rain is overheard by a monstrous boom of thunder. The ground shakes as I speed across it.

The attack puts Kirito on edge. And I strike him with a combination of Invisible blade and appearing slash as I completely destroy him...or at least I would have had her been any other person.

"You know...had this been any other game...you would have won," Kirito mutters as I make some distance between us

"Release Recollection!" He yells as he raises his black sword.

The sword suddenly expands into the sky, and as it does. The sky turns pitch black. Kirito's pupils turn golden as I spot golden dots going to the tip of his sword that is very high in the sky.

"What now," I grumble

"(Y/N), I'm sorry...but I'm afraid you won't survive this," Kirito says as I smirk

"Don't get ahead of yourself...don't forget...a storm was brewing!" I reply as I raise mine own my own sword. I've never tried this...but it only makes sense

I can use Lightning at will. Or at least be as fast as it. Perhaps I can control lightning as an external element. This world does have magic to some degree...after all, Kirito has this "release recollection" that gives him extra powers or whatever they are

I summon all the energy I have...and I place it at the tip of my sword.

Please reach...

Please reach heaven

And contact the two worlds

With a strike of Lightning

The sky is still pitch black...all but a bright light that pierces the blackness.

The light makes its way to my sword as a crack of thunder is heard.

Unlike a normal lightning strike that is fast and can't be seen for more than an instant. This one stays connected to my sword. It connects me to the sky.

"You wanna play with fire...well you got yourself a fire," I yell as we stare at each other

Kirito's sword returns to its normal size.

Kirito charges as I lower the tip of my blade toward him. The lightning follows my blade almost as if it was part of it.

Before Kirito could even come close to me, I had a beam of lightning pointed at him.

With an extremely loud bang, I get shot backward as my vision is filled with light like a flash-bang would do. I feel my body clash against a building as pain encumbers me.

As soon as my vision returns, I look around me

I was shot back some 100 meters. And in the distance, I can see Kirito suffering from the damages of my attack. Even from a distance, I could tell he was hurt.

I tried to get up, it was a slow process as my body started to hurt all other. Finally, I got to my feet. Nobody has moved yet, probably still recovering from the sudden light show.

I slowly walk toward Kirito.

"I wasn't expecting that," Kirito says

"Hell I wasn't either," I mutter

"I'll keep my end of the deal," Kirito says

"Good...now leave," I say

"But you haven't won," He says aggressively as his eyes are still golden. He suddenly jumps forward with his black sword and swings it

Barely...I just barely had enough time to place my sword between my body and his sword. When his sword hit...it felt like a freight train hit me at full speed. I get launched through building after building. Each wall I hit broke a bone. After the 5th wall I went through, I blacked out... I only barely remember seeing a long line of holes through dozens of buildings.

And right after, I was being handled by a group of people...that was when I passed out for the 2nd time

Angalo POV

I look in surprise

(Y/N) VS Kirito...our king versus the man who raised me.

"Cover your ears," (Y/N) says as I hear a thunderous boom followed by a growling hit. (Y/N) had the first hit, and it sent the king flying.

They say a few words as suddenly the air gets colder. One moment they were talking. The next (Y/N) was flying through a wall while Kirito was surrounded by ice. Another boom of thunder cracks the air

There is no movement as (Y/N) gets up once again.

I know better than anyone, that there is much more to this battle then I can see.

(Y/N) jumps as a bright flash blinds us all. The ground shakes as another very loud boom is heard.

The two Swordsmen are standing where they started.

Kirito raises his sword as it becomes huge and collects things from the sky. (Y/N) does the some...but instead of him reaching to the sky like Kirito, the sky reaches to him as a lightning bolt hits his sword. It stays like that as Kirito charges (Y/N). But all (Y/N) did was lower his sword

And ear-shattering sound rips through my head as my eyes are disabled by the brightest light I've ever seen

The light clears up and I see (Y/N) walking to Kirito.

I can see he is hurt. But so is Kirito

And from the stories I've been told. Those two were once close..very close.

Even though they are fighting each other. I can see years worth of friendship

Kirito suddenly jumps and slams (Y/N) with a super heavy strike. (Y/N) is then launched through building after building.

I stand in shock. He was hurting even before Kirito hit him...he has to be spent now.

Kirito looks merciless. He stands tall and proud. Granted, you can the pain he is in from his eyes. But he does well to hide it from his people

"Grab (Y/N) and then move out," He says as he leaves Dennis's mother alone. I helplessly watch as Kirito's guards leave.

And I'm sure they will be bringing (Y/N) with them.
