Somethings never change...I wish they could...do I ever wish they could

(Y/N) has changed my life in so many more ways then he could think of. But, no matter what. I don't think he could change this. The way they look at me

The school has become tolerable...but only that. It helps when he is by my side, but when he isn't. I'm faced with piercing eyes. Judging me every moment.

School students can be...unpredictable. They crumble to peer pressure. If your friends do something, your expected do it to do it as well.

I don't why so many people hate me...it's really discouraging watching the girls of school eye me with hate while the boys look at me smirking...it's sickening.

" I don't see your little boyfriend, he dump you," A guy says startling me

"Oh, did I scare you, I'll give you something so be scared about," He says as he pins me to the wall

"My place, tonight, what do you say," He says trying to be sexy....he just comes off sounding like a dick. I try to escape his hold, but it doesn't falter. The rest of the kids watch, they don't even try to help

"No," I say calmly

"What did you say?" He asks as he pins me against the wall harder,

"I said no," I say starting to crumble under the huge glare he is giving me

"You will regret that you b---," he begins to say but is cut off by a solid punch

"I don't think so," Himiko says as she punches him. After the hit connected, she holds her hand in a little pain.

"Another, eh, how bout you both come," He says as Carter appears over Himiko's shoulder

"You were saying?" He asks as the guy doesn't act so tough anymore. Carter is easily bigger than him, he knows he shouldn't pick a fight with him.

"Whatever," He says walking away with his hands in his pants

"I can't believe they still treat you that bad, are you ok?" Himiko asks

"I'm fine," I say a bit embarrassed

"The rumours aren't even true," Himiko says as we walk to class

Carter shakes his head in disapproval," it's stupid," he says

We reach class and sit together. At least I have some people I know in class

We talk about the class until the bell goes off and class starts. A typical day otherwise. People staring as I hang out with my friends. (Y/N) and James has actually fought other people because of me...and because of that, they can't make many other friends outside our group. All because of me.

School ended quickly and I was headed to meet up with (Y/N), Kirito and Asuna at Agil's bar. (Y/N) was there first sitting and talking with Agil

"Hello Kate," Agil says behind his counter

"Hello," I say sitting down next to (Y/N)

"Nice to see your two, haven't seen you guys since Kirito's party," Agil says

"Why did he get a party and I didn't," (Y/N) mutters

"Maybe because he is a better icon," Agil says

"Icon? Come on, he could only duel weld, I could literal clear 100 monsters in a minute flat," (Y/N) says

"Yea and you aren't seen doing it, Kirito was been seen taking out the Gleam eyes," Agil says

"I weaken him," (Y/N) says before the door opens revealing Asuna and Kazuto.

"Heyo," Asuna says sitting

"What took you so long," (Y/N) says speaking his mind. They arrived 5 minutes late

"We got caught up talking," Kirito says

"Figures," (Y/N) says muttering

"Kate I got this cool app that lets me monitor Kirito's heart," Asuna says excitedly

"Creepy," (Y/N) blurts out

"It is not, it's comforting," She says defending herself

"And creepy," (Y/N) standing by his statement as he looks at Kirito

"So what's up, I haven't seen you in like a week," he says to Kirito

"I've been testing this new VR device," Kirito says as he starts explaining how it works. I'm not a very tech-savvy person so all I got out of it is it reads souls. (Y/N) looks like he understood every last bit.

"Hmm," He says after Kazuto's very in-depth explanation

"I have no memory of it," Kazuto says

"You're getting paid to play games!" (Y/N) says jealous as he realizes

"No, it's research," Kazuto says defending it

"Pfff," (Y/N) off puts it

"Hate to interrupt, but it's getting late, you kids should be heading home," Agil says looking at the time

"Ah, man, it is rather late," (Y/N) says as he stands up.

"Yeah, we better be off," Kazuto says following suit. We leave Agils Cafe and head home. Asuna and Kazuto lead the way

"How was school?" (Y/N) asks softly

" it was mostly normal," I answer him

"Mostly?" He asks

"I had a little incident and the start of the day," I say laughing a bit

"Hmm," He says. He was about to say something else, but he was suddenly attacked. (Y/N) hadn't had the time to respond before he fell and hit the ground hard. Kazuto turned around after he collapsed seeing the attacker, he held a weird needle in his hand

"Kazuto," The attacker says as he stares Kazuto down. They charge each other which ends in Kazuto hurting the attacker's leg and Kazuto being impelled with the needle...and much like (Y/N) he collapses too. Asuna calls the police as I look toward (Y/N)

He still isn't moving

"(Y/N)," I ask...no response. I rush to his side to shake him a bit. Still doesn't respond. Asuna is doing the same thing with Kirito and is getting the same result...nothing

"Dear!" I call out getting worried

"(Y/N) wake up!" I call out desperately

(Y/N) POV

"Wake up! Please Wake up!" I hear someone say

"I'm up," I say as I open my eyes. I'm met with a little shock. A boy, brown hair, wearing dark clothes is in front of me.

"Who are you?" I ask as he looks as confused as me

"I'll ask the same thing!" He demands

"I'm (Y/N) you?," I ask

"Karp, what's your occupation?" He asks

I look around to see a dark red wasteland. I've never seen anything like this before. It's this a game?

"I don't know where I am," I tell him

"You are in the dark territory," the boy tells me

"Dark territory?" I ask confused

"Yes, it's a terrible place, me and a few others have been living here despite no one else knowing we are alive," He tells me

"Oh?" I say uncertainly

"Do you remember how you got here?" He asks

I think back, all I can remember is walking with Kate then darkness

"No, I don't," I tell him. He thinks for a bit then tells me to follow

I guess I'm on another adventure
