(U/N) POV

We finally reached flour 70 and the boss meeting was taking place. It became usual for only Punisher and Jam to be in the meeting and the rest of us just stayed outside. I was looking around to see Fuji and Harry all snuggled up together. Fuji was happily sleeping as she was sitting on Harry's lap, honestly, it looked cute. I couldn't help but take a photo to tease them after. I took the photo and Liz approached me.

"This is gonna be good," She says referring to the teasing I'm gonna do

"You know it" I reply

"Everyone is all lovey-dovey, even Qweep and Looky are curled up together," Liz says while pointing to Qweep and Looky. Looky was lying on the grass as Qweep had his arm around her as he looked toward the blue sky.

"Seriously, even Jam and Punisher are getting serious," I say

"Yea what's up with that," She asks. I respond by shrugging my shoulders.

"Makes me want to have someone to snuggle to," She says looking at me from the corner of her eye.

"Yea that would be nice," I say not receiving her hint

"Whatever, I'll leave the love to the others" She laughs sadly

The meeting finally ended and Jam and Punisher came up to us and started telling us the plan.

"Ok, first off the plan is heavily based on (U/N) and Asuna. Why you might ask, quite frankly they will be the only ones who can catch this boss. The boss's name is Roadrunner, he is a mix between a cheetah and a grizzly bear. The scouts reported him being pretty fast. So the assault team is going to pair (U/N) and Asuna together because of their speed." Punisher tells us

"Right, Lightning Flash Asuna, a rapier user who uses extremely fast sword skills, in the lower flours the rumour is that her speed rivals (U/N)'s" Jam describes Asuna

"Yea, yea I know that already, her weapon moves faster while my body moves faster," I say paraphrasing

"Right, anyway we all thought it'd be best if you two had some time to battle enemies and find a strategy that works best for you two" Jam continues

"Eh, I don't see a reason why not too, but what's the other roles," I ask

"The rest of us we'll be covering you guys during cool downtimes," Punisher says

"Ah, shouldn't be hard then, the boss should be mainly focused on Asuna and (U/N) right?" Harry asks

"Yes, but (U/N) will be more of the tank because he can evade attacks easier and has more health." Jam finishes

"Right on, I guess I'll see ya all later," I tell them as I walk away to find Asuna.

"Be careful" Liz says as I get farther and farther away.

It took a while but I finally found Asuna staring in space.

"Yo" I announce myself

I startled her a bit and she says, "You already here huh, I was hoping for some more alone time"

"Yea not happening when I'm here" I declare

"Ok so where to?" She asks referring to where we will be going to practice

"I'm thinking a lower flour, don't need to be doing things too extreme of the bat," I say

"I agree," she says

We head to flour 63 and go to a dungeon. She recommended that I stay back and study her fighting style and then we switch and she studies me. I made sure to use some of my Lightning skills to make sure she gets the full picture. Eventually, after an hour or two we sit down and discuss what we will do.

"I say we should have you charge in first and then we switch as your cooldown time starts. Once your done we switch again and then you use Invisible blade to stagger the enemy, once that happens I'll activate my own skill and then we repeat and deal with anything that gets in our way" Asuna suggests

"Sounds solid to me, I didn't know you were so tactical," I ask her surprised

She laughs about and replies with, " yea something I picked up from Kirito"

"I see, you two have been rather close lately anything going on?" I ask

"Yea, I guess, we used to disagree so much but we've come a long way" she answers

"knowing Kirito, he will want to relax in a house that has a lake near it," I say laughing a bit

"Yea that sounds like Kirito," She says

We talked a bit more and then we started to practice the plan. It worked well for the most part. After some time we were back to killing monsters on the 70th floor. Eventually we could read each other's move and guess what the other would do. We became pretty fast, we could easily take out a few hard enemies in a matter of seconds. Asuna's skill really was lightning fast, she could get a decent amount of hits in before the boss even notices.

We wrapped it up and prepared for the boss battle tomorrow. We both went to our guild halls and got some sleep. Before I knew I was face to face with the boss doors.

"Ready," Asuna asks

I was space out for a second thinking this happened way to fast but finally, I say" born ready" with my normal smirk.

In badass fashion I kick the door open and proceed to the plan. I walk in the boss room and wait for Roadrunner to appear, once he does I engage flash as Asuna covers her eyes to not be blinded. The boss shuts its eyes from the flash and I land a heavy blow. As the cooldown time starts Asuna switches with me and does her own skill. From there I dash to the boss and use Invisible blade on him. He recovers almost instantly and I'm now in cooldown mode. Asuna bunny hops over me and attacks the boss.

When I said that we work well together I meant it, over the course of a few hours our trust for each other improved greatly. Once I unfroze, I sprint to the boss and slide underneath Asuna as we switch. I then start the skill that I used to save Liz, I call it appearing slash. The boss is greatly confused that it can't seem to shake us and the fact that it's getting hit practically every second. It freaks out and charges Asuna once my skill finished. It happened in a flash and the boss was about to attack.

Lucky Asuna had her black Swordsmen watching over her as Kirito blocked the blow and allowed her to attack the beast again. Once she finished the boss started running around. It came to a point where we couldn't see where he was, that was how fast he was moving. Due to my lightning-fast reflexes, I can see him charge me, I respond by using bolt and then a slash to slow him down.

Once he slowed Asuna was able to attack him again. I took a look at his health and saw he was pretty low. Easy, he should be killed soon. My thought process impaired my reaction time as the boss suddenly appears before me. He used his bear-like paw to launch me across the room. I hit the wall hard, and it wasn't stopping there. He appeared before and did the same thing. After the 2nd time, my health was getting dangerously low. One more hit and I'm done for.

It appeared in front of me one last time and raised its paw. This is the end I guess. As it brought down its arm, a familiar short sword came into view. Liz did everything she could, slash the Roadrunner with everyone ounce of strength she had. The blow was hard enough to kill off the rest of the boss's health and it scattered. Liz looked at me with a smirk and rested her sword on her shoulder.

"What do you sayyyy?" She says with a smile

"Thanks, darling" I thank her adding a tease

"Anything for my little honey bun" She say teasingly

"Seriously you were gonna be the that one beehive on the Bears claws," Harry says

"Eh, worked out just fine," I say as Asuna comes overs

"That mostly worked as planned," she says as we fist bump

"Yep sure did" I respond

"You two were like... Super cool" Fuji says going fangirl

"You know it," I tell her

"(U/N)! Don't you think that was a little close!" Jam says as she comes over with a red face of anger

"Turned out just fine" I protested

"No leaving the guildhall until next week you got it!" Jam says as a punishment

"say what!" I ask

We were cut off by laughing coming from Asuna, "O my you guys are so funny, it nice to see a guild that can have so much fun on the front lines, most other guilds are uptight" she says between laughs

"Indeed I guess so," Qweep says, "if I was allowed I'd totally be wearing a superman costume right now, but Punisher Won't allow it" he continues pouting

"Qweep our guild needs to have at least some honour," Punisher says

"There's nothing wrong with it" Qweep protests

"Other than the fact that it's skin-tight, it's totally fine," Punisher says with an attempt of sarcasm

"I wouldn't mind," Looky says out loud

"Anyway, I guess I'll cya later," Asuna say as she wanders off

We all returned to the guild and I was literally grounded for a week. The next day the newspaper of Sword art online had an interesting headline. The headline read "The Flash Duo". I took a look at the context and read
"Lightning Flash Asuna and the Lightning Swordsmen (U/N) team up to take down Roadrunner the 70th floors boss. They showed that their nicknames are no mistake as they bulldoze their way through the boss in record times."

"What's this," I ask Punisher

"The newspaper" he answers, I face-plant mentally

"Not that, this Lightning Swordsmen title I've been given, when did that happened?" I ask

"Seriously, you have had that title since floor 46, it's nothing new" he answers

"Oh" I answer bewildered

"Lightning Swordsmen eh," I say to myself
