After three months of training, it was announced that the Grand Magic Games were going to be held in a couple of weeks. Once Makarov heard what the games entailed, he decided to sign Fairy Tail up.

He picked out the Fairy Tail team: Natsu, Erza, Gray, Lucy, and Wendy. However, he did not tell those five that he was also entering a second Fairy Tail team.

This team consisted of Mirajane, Gajeel, Juvia, Jasmine, and Laxus.

And when Fairy Tail A (Natsu's team) found out about a second team after the preliminaries, they weren't entirely thrilled.

Especially since they lost to Fairy Tail B in the priliminary round.

Despite their differences, both teams were wizards of Fairy Tail.
And their sole enemy was Sabertooth.

Sabertooth had taken the title of "Strongest Guild in Fiore" while the Tenrou group was missing.

This team consisted of Sting, a white/light dragon slayer; Rouge, a shadow dragon slayer; Rufus, another pretty boy; Orga, a lightning god slayer; and Ashley, a water dragon slayer.

This tournament is gonna be interesting. Jasmine thought, smirking.

Jasmine Drake, Ashley thought as she stared at her fellow female dragon slayer, also known as the legendary Lightning Empress. I'll defeat you.

And thus, the Grand Magic Games began!

Since this is Fairy Tail's (the Tenrou group) first time competing, they started off rough; not gaining any points.

They weren't used to the tournament's rules and the style of the Games.

Needless to say, the once strongest guild was now the laughing stock of Fiore.

That is, until the final match of the day.

"Jura Neekis from Lamia Scale versus Jasmine Drake from Fairy Tail B!"

Not having faith in Fairy Tail, the crowd of citizens cheered for Jura, the Wizard Saint, and laughed at the lightning dragon slayer. They forgot all about the strongest and most feared woman in Fairy Tail.

So, when Jasmine was holding her own against the Lamia Scale Mage, the crowd was stunned.

"Who the heck is she?"

"Wait - Jasmine Drake? Wasn't she Fairy Tail's strongest female wizard seven years ago?"

"Fairy Tail's strongest female wizard?"

"Oh yeah, I remember her!"

The crowd's attitude toward the Fairy Tail Mage started to change. And some even cheered for her.

And when Jasmine defeated the Wizard Saint, the arena went silent.

That night, on day one of the Grand Magic Games, Fairy Tail celebrated their first win.

And it was all thanks to Jasmine.

"You did great out there." Laxus commented, sitting down next to Jasmine. The guild was at a bar, the Sun Bar, hosting their celebration.

"Thanks." Jasmine replied. A smile, a small one, creeped onto her face. Being complimented felt good, and she has never been complimented before.

She's been alone for so long.

Perhaps it's the alcohol in her system, but Jasmine feels the need to tell Laxus how much she likes the attention she's receiving from him - how much she's starting to crave it.

"I like having you around." She stated bluntly. "You're making life enjoyable for me, something I haven't felt for eleven years. Eighteen if you count the seven years on Tenroujima."

Laxus stared at the female in awe. Is the Jasmine Drake sharing her true feelings? Not that he's complaining.

"Does that mean that you're considering being my girlfriend?" He dared to ask. Maybe the alcohol was affecting him too?

"Yes." She replied. "I think I would like that."

She admitted it! Laxus cheered in his head. He was grinning from ear-to-ear and he honestly looked a little creepy, but he didn't care. He'll accept any confession that he can get from her.

Though, he would love for her to say it when there isn't alcohol in her system.

But there's always tomorrow, right?

During the course of the next few days, after Jasmine's victory from the first day, Fairy Tail slowly but surely started to earn more points.

Especially during the battle portion of the Games.

However, it started going downhill towards the middle of the third day. During a match, Raven Tail ambushed Laxus whilst covering it up with an illusion to throw off the crowd.

This resulted in Raven Tail's defeat by Laxus and their disqualification from the Grand Magic Games tournament for the next three years.

The fourth day was no better. During the competition, Ashley from Sabertooth viciously assaulted Lucy, doing so to send Jasmine a message.

'Fight me and see if you walk away alive!'

Afterwards, both Fairy Tail teams were told that they needed to merge together since Raven Tail was no longer participating. So, Makarov created the ultimate team.

The new Fairy Tail team consisted of Gajeel, Gray, Erza, Jasmine, and Laxus.

It was a tough decision for the old man, having to choose between Natsu and Gajeel who were both strong. However, Makarov decided to settle the matter in a game of Rock, Paper, Scissors.

Best two out of three with Gajeel being the winner.

Now Fairy Tail was ready to face Sabertooth!

"We know who will most likely be participating in the tag-team battle." Erza stated.

The team was standing in the hall, discussing the near future events.

"Yeah, probably those dragon slayers." Gray commented with a nod of the head.

"So Jasmine and I will take 'em." Gajeel grunted, glancing at the tanned skinned female.

"A battle between dragon slayers, huh?" Laxus smirked, looking at Jasmine and finding this situation to be amusing.

The female, however, did not return the eye contact. Instead, she looked at the concrete ground because for some reason, she felt embarrassed by having Laxus stare at her.

She felt her face heating up, becoming warm, and she so desperately wanted to get out of this situation. She was not use to receiving this kind of attention.

The members were soon notified that the third and final match, their match, was about to begin. Erza, Gray, and Laxus went to the designated balcony for their guild so that they can watch the match.

Jasmine and Gajeel walked toward the entrance of the battlefield, feeling the high tension already filling the arena.

"And now," the announcer speaks through the microphone, "the moment you've all been waiting for! The Fairy Tail versus Sabertooth tag-team battle! Rogue and Ashley versus Gajeel and Jasmine!"

The battle between the fairies and the tigers begins now!
