The Fairies vs The Phantoms

"So that was Jasmine?" Lucy asked. She sat up in one of the infirmary beds, recalling the events that happened earlier in the day. She could clearly remember the sound of Jasmine's voice, the tightness of her grip, the aura that surrounded her, and the pain from the punch that she delivered. "S-So scary . . ."

"Yep, Jasmine will do that to you." Gray shrugged. "I tried to warn you."

"Well, you should've tried harder." Lucy snapped, glaring at the Ice Mage. "And you two," She turned her head so that she could look at Natsu and Happy who were curled up in balls in the corner of the imfirmary. "what the heck are you doing?"

"Jasmine's so scary that even after she leaves you can still feel her presence." Happy whimpered.

"This is why you don't make her mad, Lucy?" Natsu growled.

"Well, it's not like I was trying to piss her off!" Lucy growled back.

"Let's just call it a night for now." Erza spoke up in a commanding tone.

The sun had soon went away for the time being in Magnolia and Fairy Tail was soon empty. The Shadow Gear Team walked home together, laughing and telling jokes. Little did they know that someone was in the shadows, watching their every move and waiting for a chance to attack.

Then it all happened in the blink of an eye.

The following morning, Lucy left her apartment, locking the door on her way out. She walked about five steps before it suddenly started to rain. And not just sprinkling; it was pouring rain.

"What the-" Lucy said to no one in particular. She looked up at the sky and watched the rain fall down from the dark clouds that had appeared out of nowhere.

"Drip. Drip. Drop."

Lucy looked around frantically upon hearing the voice. Who said that? A little frightened, Lucy began walking again.

"Are you Lucy Heartfilia?"

Lucy stopped and froze, slowly turning around to see a woman with blue hair, an umbrella, and a gloom expression.

"W-Who are you?" Lucy stuttered. She had a bad feeling in her gut and she knew that she should probably get away from this woman.

"Juvia believes she asked you a question." The woman replied.

So her name is Juvia?

"So what if I'm Lucy?" Lucy said, narrowing her eyes at Juvia.

"I see." Juvia said, her gloom expression never faltering. "Water Lock!" She yelled, lifting the hand that wasn't holding the umbrella. A sphere of water surrounded Lucy and lifted her off of the ground.

Lucy struggled, pounded her hands against the water sphere. However, she soon began loosing consciousness because she had to hold her breath while in the water. Once Lucy finally stopped moving, Juvia proceeded to turn around and walk, her water sphere following her like a slave.

Time moved on, the sun becoming more and more bright in the sky. It was now exactly twelve o'clock, noon. Natsu, Gray, and Erza had coincidentally met in front of Fairy Tail, but the sight that was waiting for them wasn't what they were expecting to see.

The guild had several large iron pillars that were crashed through the building. The guild was in shambles.

"Who the-" Natsu began to growl, but was cut off by his blue partner.

"Hey, Natsu, Gray, Erza," Happy called, his voice shaky. "you guys should come see this."

Happy led the three mages to the South Gate Park where there was a large crowd surrounding the largest tree. Most of the crowd was Fairy Tail members who were grumbling angrily to one another. As Natsu, Gray, and Erza walked closer to the tree, their blood began to boil.

Hanging from the tree was Levy, Jet, and Droy. The team was covered in severe bruises and blood. On Levy's stomach was an emblem.

But not just any emblem.

It was the Phantom Lord guild's emblem.

"This means war." Makarov growled in a dangerously low voice.

The guildmaster ordered someone to take the Shadow Gear to Porlyusica and then he ordered all of the members to gather in the basement of the guild.

"Is everybody here?" Makarov raised his voice once inside the basement.

"Where's Lucy?" Happy asked, looking around.

 "I'm glad you asked."

A hologram appeared of Master Jose, the guildmaster of Phantom Lord. The mages of Fairy Tail went into an uproar, shouting angrily at the projection.

"Jose, what are you up to?" Makarov shouted.

"I just wanted you to know that I have Miss Heartfilia here with me." Jose smirked before the hologram disappeared.

"Gramps, we gotta go save Lucy!" Natsu shouted.

"And we will." Makarov said, trying to stay calm. Then he turned his head to look at the white haired female next to him. "Mira, try to contact Jasmine and Laxus."

"Okay, Master." Mirajane nodded. She walked over to the communication lacrima that the guild had stored in the basement. She tried getting in contact with Jasmine, but after four tries with no answer, Mira tried to contact Laxus.

"What!" Laxus growled, answering after the second attempt.

"Laxus," Mira spoke softly, "we need your help. We're about to go to war with Phantom Lord."

"That's not my problem." The blond growled.

"Laxus, please . . ."

"I'll tell you what," Laxus smirked. "I'll help out the puny guild if Jasmine agrees to too."

"Jasmine?" Mira gasped. "But-"

"No Jasmine. No help." Laxus hissed, before ending the connection.

What'll we do? Mira thought. Laxus knew that there was no way that the guild would be able to get into contact with Jasmine. But if Jasmine did agree o help the guild, he wouldn't complain either.

Unfortunetly, Jasmine did not help the guild. And like Laxus said, "No Jasmine. No help."

Despite the number of injuries and the odds that were against them, Fairy Tail managed to win the war against Phantom Lord. Phantom Lord disbanded right afterwards and two of their mages, Juvia and Gajeel, joined Fairy Tail. Natsu, Gray, and Erza were not happy about this, but it was the Master's decision.

All the mages helped in rebuilding the guildhall. Everyone except for Gajeel. He had not yet accepted being a Fairy Tail mage. He still claimed that he didn't like anybody there and that he only joined the guild to find work. The Shadow Gear was terrified of him and did their best to keep their distance.

Gajeel strolled through South Gate Park where he had previously hung the Shadow Gear team.

"You know," Gajeel spun around, coming face to face with Laxus. "I heard some things on my way back in town."

When did he-Gajeel thought.

"'Fairy Tail's weak. Fairy Tail's a joke.' Nobody says that about my guild and from my understanding, it's all your fault!" Laxus snarled. He balled his right hand into a fist and punched the ground. A boomerang of lightning came up from the ground and rammed into Gajeel's stomach, sending him flying back. The lightning left a sting in Gajeel's stomach which made it difficult for him to move.

Laxus walked over to Gajeel and repeatedly stomped his foot on the Iron Dragon Slayer's stomach. Soon Gajeel was coughing up blood as he groaned and grunted in pain.

"I doubt someone this weak brought harm to Fairy Tail." Laxus's  foot halted midway from impact. He recognized that voice. Both boys lifted their heads to see Jasmine walking closer to them, still wearing her cloak. However, only Laxus knew it was Jasmine. Gajeel had never met her before.

"Believe it or not, he did." Laxus shrugged, stepping away from Gajeel.

Gajeel staggered to his feet, holding his aching stomach. "Who the heck are you?" He growled, not in the mood to be bothered anymore.

"That's not important." Jasmine replied, her voice low. "I heard rumors that an Iron Dragon Slayer from Phantom Lord destroyed Fairy Tail, crucified some of the members, and thought it was wise to have the audacity to join our guild!" She took one step closer to Gajeel. "Is it true? I know you're the Black Steel Gajeel. I've heard about you and you're really pathetic. You think you're the toughest guy in the world and that you're the strongest, but if you were then you wouldn't have lost to Fairy Tail."

"Shut the he-"

Gajeel was interrupted by a tight grip around his throat. Jasmine held him tightly, leaving her sharp nail marks on the skin there. She lifted him off of the ground which caused Gajeel to struggle. Then lightning bounced off of Jasmine's skin, transferring from her skin to Gajeel's.

And Gajeel was electrocuted from head to toe. Jasmine made sure to get every inch of his body.

Gajeel howled in pain as Jasmine electrocuted him over and over again.

And again.

And again.

Until finally, she dropped him on the ground as if he was a doll that she no longer wanted to play with.

Laxus still stood where he was, watching the scene with a sparkle in his eyes.

"Going on another job?" Laxus called out to the girl who was currently walking away.

"Yeah." She replied, still walking.

"You should stay in town for a while." Laxus smirked. "I've got some plans and I could use your help."

Jasmine's movements came to a halt. She looked over her shoulder at the blond who was staring intently at her. "I'll go on a small job then." She concluded, facing forward and continuing to walk.

I wish she would've stayed, but it doesn't matter. Laxus thought to himself as he began walking out of the park. As long as she comes back to see me in action, it'll all be okay. You'll see, Jasmine. You'll see just how strong I've become!
