"I won't be gone long."

SSundee's POV
Hit. Swing. Block. I stared in shock at Derp as he lay on the ground, blood gushing from a gash on his face. Slash. Attack. Step back. Defense. I watched, frozen in horror as the sword carried straight on, into Derp's chest. Into his heart. Duck. Stab. Side-Step. Dodge. Goodbye. He whispered. Whirl. Slash. Hit. Swing. Block. I knew he was gone when my mind went silent. It was like someone had pulled the plug on the television. Slash. Attack. Step-Back. Defense. SSundee...I'll always be with you. Duck. Stab. Side-Step. I opened my eyes again. And brought the sword down. Time moved in slow motion. Whatever happens Derp...I'll always love you. Dodge. Whirl. Slash. Hit. I'll find a way to return to you Ian...I promise.

"Ian?" I stepped back away from my imaginary opponent, panting as my sword dropped from my grasp. Derp walked up to me, concern on his face, the same concern that was there for me all those years ago during the war. That war had left scars on me that were only visible to Derp, because he bore them too. He stood beside me and we both gazed out at the horizon. The sun had risen a few hours ago. I'd been practicing since dawn. Everytime memories swarmed me. I bowed my head and felt Derp entwine his fingers with mine. "I know how it feels Ian. I went through it too." He was the only person who knew my real name. He knew a lot of things about me. He was my soulmate, and even before that, a fragment of my mind. I took a deep breath. "I-it keeps coming back to me. All the times you were hurt, or when I lost you."

He wrapped his arms around me and I rested my head against his chest, his familiar heartbeat pounding in my ear. I was always grateful to hear it after it nearly stopped forever. He kissed the top of my head and I blinked the tears away. "When I was with Notch, he taught me how to let my emotions out. I always concealed them before. And I guess love is an emotion in a way." I shook my head. "I saw your emotions Derp. I saw your love, and felt it too." He held me tighter, burying his face in my hair. "I know." We stood in eachother's embrace for a few moments, the sun rising higher behind us. It was silent but for the birds singing and our synchronised breathing. "Anyway, Sky asked me to come and get you." I drew away enough to look up at him. He was a bit taller than me, but we were completely identical apart from his crooked eyes and a very faint scar that traced it's way down the right hand side of his face, over his eyelid and from his forehead to his chin. It was where a giant mutant squid had slashed his face open. One of my memories. I pursed my lips. "Why?" Derp kissed my forehead tenderly. "I don't know. Lets go find out."

Sky's POV
Blaze was leaving. She had to go and warn her Blaze brethren about the inevitable war for Minecraftia before The Darkness got there first. I watched her sadly as she slung a bag over her shoulder, her red hair swishing over her shoulder as she flicked it back. She met my gaze and her fiery eyes were sad too as she walked up to me, flinging her arms round my neck and holding me tightly. I wrapped my arms round her, never wanting to let go. She was a few years younger than me, but she was beautiful. She drew away and gave me a lingering kiss on the lips. She drew away and rested her hand on the side of my face. "Be brave." She whispered. "I won't be gone long." Emily and Herobrine walked into the room as Derp SSundee entered the cave entrance, the sun rising behind him. SSundee entered close behind him. Blaze turned to them all. "Well, I have to leave. My Blaze family need to know what's happening. I care greatly about you all, like a second family, but I must warn my maternal one too." Everyone nodded and she smiled sadly. "I'll miss you all." Then, she walked to the cave entrance, SSundee stepping back to let her pass. She waved once to us all, then shifted into a Blaze and hovered outside the cave before going down, disappearing into the shallow abyss below. She'd built a portal there.

As soon as she was gone I felt empty and alone. I knew how SSundee had felt when Derp had...left. Emily sighed. "We'll all miss her, but we need to do something while she's gone. There's nothing we can do about The Darkness for now, it's up to him to make next move. But we need to warn the villages in our area. Otherwise, innocent people will surely die." Herobrine nodded. "I can go warn them in the East." SSundee and Derp exchanged a glance and I marvelled at how they were so in sync with eachother. "We'll take the South." I smiled. "I'll go to the North." Emily nodded. "I'll go find Steve and we'll head to the West. Hopefully most of them already know, but that's not enough. They need to be prepared." Everyone nodded and Herobrine turned to Emily. "Steve is back in Notch's dimension, he's gathering troops for our army." Emily bit her lip. "Oh, right." Herobrine smiled. "It's ok, I could give you a wolf." Emily smiled back and I suddenly feel a pang of misery that Blaze isn't with me. Derp looked thoughtful. Though his eyes were crooked, you could tell his emotions surprisingly well, more so than before anyway. "Maybe we should all leave tomorrow. Gives us time to prepare today." I nodded. "Sounds sensible." Herobrine nodded too. "Yes. That's what we'll do." They all left to prepare, leaving me standing alone in the main cave. I sighed sadly, the sunshine making my gold amulet shine and shimmer. "I miss Blaze."
