Battle In The End
Sky's POV
Suddenly a shadowy tendril of darkness coiled round my waist; yanking me up into the air. I gasped for breath, clawing at it desperately. I heard Blaze screaming my name as it dragged me through the air, towards some sort of altar. "Sacrifices must be made..." "No! Not Sky!" My head whipped round and my eyes widened as I saw Ty running towards me, his diamond axe still strapped to his waist. Herobrine snarled and Ssundee inconspicuously stepped in front of Derp; shielding him with his own body. "Please oh Lord Darkness, he is my friend! He can still be turned to our cause!" I realised my mouth was gaping open. "What did he say?!" Ty glared up at me. "You've got some nerve coming here." I glared back, despite the seconds of my life ticking away as the tendril slowly crushed my lungs. "Back off!" Ty turned round and my eyes widened even more when I saw Derp standing there. Ssundee stuck close to his side as he slowly walked forward to face Deadlox. "Who are you?" Derp's crooked eyes narrowed. "Why should I tell you?" "Surely I should have the honour of knowing who's going to kill me before they do?" Derp grinned and I couldn't help but chuckle when Ty started. "Who said I was going to kill you?" Then they all snapped into action. Fireballs flared in Blaze's hands and Herobrine's eyes glowed bright. Ssundee ran forward and met Ty in battle. Derp hacked at the darkness holding me and I dropped to the ground. "Ow." I staggered to my feet, winded. I glimpsed Emily running to my side and I smiled at her gratefully. Then I felt a tremor beneath my feet and heard a high pitched howling piercing the air. The rest of my friends were looking around, trying to find the source of the noise. Ssundee had broken away from his fight with Ty and Deadlox smirked evilly. "You're all screwed." Then he stroked his diamond axe and swung it at Ssundee who wasn't paying attention.
It hit him straight on. His scream resonated around The End as Ty wrenched it out, swinging it back round for another hit. He never did. Derp crashed into him, his crooked eyes burning with ferocity and anger. "You'll pay for that!" I ran to Ssundee's side as Blaze and Herobrine fought off tendrils of Darkness that snatched at us, trying to drag us back. I felt the heat of a fireball graze the back of my neck as it hit a tendril trying to take me from behind. "Petty creatures, you cannot destroy me, I am The Darkness!" "Yep, noticed." Herobrine raised his arms and splayed his hands, white light spewing forth from them. My heart pounded in my chest as I saw the blood pooling around my friend. I placed my hand on his chest, searching desperately for a pulse. "Ssundee, you still with us?" He chuckled weakly, raising his head off of the ground. "Can't exactly leave can I?" I smiled; the happiness faded from my face as his head slumped back on the ground and his pulse fluttered. "Please don't go." Emily took off his sunglasses gently. "Why did you ever wear those?" He smiled. "Used to keep something back...or someone." I sighed. "Oh yeah...Derp. If you die he'll be heartbroken." Ssundee's blue eyes hardened in determination. "That's why I'm holding on." I stood up, turning to Emily who was still crouched down by my friends' side. "Get Herobrine. He's the only one who can-" I was cut off mid-sentence as a fist was swung into the side of my face. "AHHH!" "Back off!" I saw Derp grab Ty's fist and bend his arm backwards. Ty grit his teeth in pain and twisted round, kicking Derp's legs out from under him. Derp hit the ground, instantly freezing when he saw the blood staining his sleeve. I watched his crooked eyes slowly trail up to Ssundee's face. "Oh no." He breathed. I narrowed my eyes and whipped round, catching Ty's arm. "I don't think so." Ty snarled and tried to lash out. I caught his leg with mine and twisted it round. Ty cried out and I grabbed his other arm; sticking out my leg and flipping him over it. He face-planted the ground. I dragged him to his feet and saw his dark eyes staring in terror back at mine. "You're a coward, an idiot and a traitor-" I spat the words out like they were venom on my tongue. "All Emily did was love you, and now you're trying to kill her." "It's Herobrine I'm trying to kill." "Why?" He spat on the ground. "He took Emily away from me, brainwashed you all to love him, and blinded you so you'd never see his true dark side...and now, he's going to pay." I growled, glaring at him.
"You-" "No! Please god no!" I threw Ty on the ground and whipped round. Derp was looking up at Herobrine, who was shaking his head sadly. "Oh no..." White hot fury filled my veins as I drew my sword. "You killed Ssundee." Ty grinned at me. "That was the plan." I stabbed him. His eyes widened in pain. "You deserve this." I hissed between gritted teeth. He smiled. "I can't die Sky...The Darkness made sure of that." I swung my fist at his head, simultaneously wrenching my sword out of him. He hit the ground and stayed down. I walked over to where my friends were gathered. The Darkness had left after I'd attacked Ty. "Is he...is he gonna make it?..." Herobrine sighed. "I-I don't know." There was silence. Then Derp spoke up. "He's not dead..." I stared at him. "What?" He looked up at me. His crooked eyes were brimming with tears. "I'd be dead too if he was." Emily gasped. "You mean...there's still a chance?!" Herobrine started to smile. "There's always a chance." Blaze moved closer to me. Her hands were still smoking earlier from her fireball act. "Hey." I nudged her slightly. She looked up at me. "What?" I grinned. "I didn't realise you were so..." I paused. "-hot!" She facepalmed. "Dood, that was like the worst joke ever!" I chuckled. "I know. It was meant to be." Derp picked up Ssundee bridal-style and lay him gently on the altar thingy. I saw him smile slightly before he moved away. Herobrine frowned slightly in concentration and his eyes began to glow. We all looked away as an explosion of white light fanned outwards and a high-pitched screech filled the air. Then silence fell. I turned round and gave a sigh of relief. Ssundee was sitting up on the altar, staring at us in astonishment. "I-I nearly died!" "No s*** Sherlock." Derp quipped; but he was grinning as he said it. I turned away as the the others prepared to leave. I was shaky after all that had happened. I stood over Ty. He groaned and opened his eyes. I heard Emily call out something from behind me. "Is he conscious yet?!" I looked down at him with contempt, then swung my fist downwards, powering all of my anger into the strike. It hit Ty between his eyes and he slumped to the ground again. I stood up straight and turned round. "No! He's still out cold!" Herobrine caught my eye and chuckled. I smirked. Some things just had to be done.
