"And that's why chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream is way better than cookies and cream." Jacob says knowingly.

I shake my head knowing that there's no way cookie dough is better than cookies and cream but since we've been arguing about this for basically the entire lunch period, I decide to drop it.

I look behind Jacob to see this girl with blonde hair sitting all alone. I remember what it was like to sit alone and I don't want anyone else to have to deal with that.

"I'll be right back Jacob." I say walking over to her.

"Hey my names Adeli-", before I could finish talking she cuts me off.

"Listen here sweetie I know you came over here because you thought I was some loser with no friends. Well newsflash honey I'm not unlike you I actually have some friends. Now please go back to your little loser table and enjoy life. I'd also watch your back if I were you because I happen to take a liking to that hottie over there at the table your sitting at, she points over to Jacob balancing a Cheerio on his nose, so I suggest you back off of him. HE'S MINE!" She yells in my face then turns back around to her food.

I see her friends start to walk over.

"Do we have a problem here?" One of them with long brown hair and blue eyes asks glaring at me.

"U-uh no I was just leaving." I say walking glumly back to my table.

Jacob looks at me and drops his cheerio on the table.

"Hey what's wrong?" He asks his eyes full of concern.

"Oh it's nothing." I say looking down. I felt bad lying to my best friend but I didn't want him to worry about me. I look over Jacob's shoulder to see Simone and her click glaring at me.

Jacob looks behind him to see the girls then looks back at me with sympathy. I feel a tear fall down my face and Jacob walks over to me and gives me a hug.

I start crying into his shirt and he picks me up and carries me out the lunchroom to the abandoned library in the west wing. I could hear Simone and her friends laughing at me and that just made me cry even harder.

Jacob sets down in a bean bag and pulls me into his lap. Jacob's whispering soothing things in my ear and after a while I calm down. As Jacob plays with my hair and I lay in his lap I come to one conclusion.

I'm falling for Jacob Sartorius.

He looks down at me and smiles.

"Are you feeling better?" Jacob asks smiling at me.

"Yep, much better. Thank you Jacob." I say smiling at him.

"No problem beautiful." He says hugging me again.

Jacob's POV

"No problem beautiful." Crap I didn't mean to say that. I hide my blush by hugging her again and she laughs.

"I'm sorry I got your shirt all wet." Adeline says giggling. Man she has a cute giggle.

"Nah don't worry about it." I say getting up. I put my hand out to help Adeline get up and we walked out of school. It was 4:30 so school was long over. I asked Adeline if she wanted to have another sleepover at my house and she said yes.

I had something big planned and I was excited and nervous at the same time.
