*Throughout the making of this story, I had to make many changes to create a more logical thriller for you guys and to fit in your opinions. The following is the changes to what was suppose to happen originally in the story, but changed over the course of it's making.*

1.) The title "The Light in Darkness" actually has a hidden meaning behind it. The Light is suppose to represent Katrina and the Darkness is suppose to represent Scarecrow. For she is the light in his darkness.

2.) Katrina was actually not suppose to survive at the end of the story, but due to the results of the survey you readers took, it showed me that no one wanted her to die. So I allowed her to survive, otherwise she was planned to die by Gabriel's hand before Scarecrow could've saved her.

3.) There was also suppose to be more experiments on the children and even Batman, but I actually found myself getting sick and disgusted with the idea of more child abuse via Gabriel or Scarecrow even. It just made me feel like a horrible person, and just the visuals alone that I had while making this, shook me to my core.

4.) Nathan was suppose to die earlier on in the story when Katrina was being transported upstairs. He was suppose to either confront Scarecrow and Gabriel while they were taunting her and get shot by Gabriel in response or he was suppose to die in front of Katrina as torture to force her into signing the adoption papers and break her sanity. So either way, Nathan was going to be the first to die, but it all depended on how you guys answered the surveys.

5.) Katrina's counselor, Dr. Jane, is actually a real person that I know and have met.

6.) Ali was suppose to survive and was going to be in the sequel as a helper or mentor for Katrina. However due to the circumstances going on in the setting, with the fire and Gabriel hunting them down, there would have been no logical way Ali would have survived in that situation, especially when she was bleeding out. So, I regrettably had to kill her off, but there will be hints of her in the sequel as well as Nathan.

7.) The survey results for the surprise villain was actually a seven way tie!!! I forgot who you guys all voted together to get that huge tie, but it took a while for me to decide which character to use through a random generator.

8.) Becky Albright is almost involved in every chapter! I was going to give Katrina the ability to see her parent's spirits, but since I wanted to keep this all serious, I gave Katrina a small ability to hear her mother's voice in her head. Which I named as Katrina's inner voice. In the sequel, I will expand more on this topic.

9.)Since Katrina was suppose survive, I wanted her to lose her sanity at the end of this story when she discovered the truth of Scarecrow's "death" and kill off Rosa, Billy, and Sophie in a fit of rage. Or at least, she was suppose to burn down the orphanage with her orphan family trapped inside while they slept. Either route I could've done, but feeling that again, it would be overkill or not logical enough for a little seven year old to do such a thing, I cut it out and replaced it with what is published now.

10.) This story is actually based off the comic book, "Batman: The Dark Knight Volume 2 Cycle of Violence." I would definitely recommend giving it a read, as it is one of my favorites and you may notice the similarities between the story and this fan-fiction.

*Well you guys, that's all for my fun facts. As you all know or will now know, I plan to create a sequel to this story, but did you also know that I plan to make a prequel? Yup, I was suggested to make a prequel by a fellow reader so you guys could get a good sense of who Katrina's mother was and how Crane got involved with the Parkman's. So as of lately, I plan to release the prequel on Christmas as a gift for all my readers, and don't worry it won't be delayed. I'm sorry if you guys wanted the sequel first, but I have no idea where to start yet and lately, I have been getting way too many ideas for the prequel.
