Liliana had been bustling in the kitchen since morning, humming the same tune to herself as she always did. After a while, Jikyo approached her, the woman smiled at him.
"And? " She asked, pointing to the soup she was cooking. "It's getting better, isn't it?"
Park tasted the dish and nodded to his wife's question.
"Just add a little more of this. " He said and poured some spice. "Try it now. " He handed her soup on a spoon.
"Mm, right. Better taste. " She nodded.
Jikyo continued to teach his wife cooking and more. The couple also learned to dance in their free time. In fact, Lily learned to dance, Park already knew how to do it, so he was her home instructor.
"You'll see, soon I'll be as good a cook as you are." The blonde said smiling. "Maybe I won't beat you at this, but I can try." She chuckled.
"You're doing great, nae salang" Jikyo said proudly. "Oops, I'll be late for work. See you tonight. " He added, then kissed his wife goodbye and went to work.
Wilkinson had today off and decided to use the day to learn how to cook and dance. In the meantime, she also wanted to talk to Sally, who had gone with her husband to another city for an operation.
"And now close your eyes and take my hand...*" She sang softly her lullaby.
Jikyo loved it when his wife sang it. He said Lily had a voice like an angel and every time the woman sang something he was all ears. He could listen to her songs for hours.
"I'll just sit here for a while and sing for you...*" She continued singing, then stopped, turned off the simmering soup, and called a friend. "Hi, Sally. " She greeted pleasantly. "How are you? And how's Bradley? "
"I'm still all stressed out. " She replied worriedly. "Bradley fell asleep and the operation will be tomorrow morning. Keep your fingers crossed with Jikyo. "
"We will, don't worry. " Blonde said. "I know you're tired of all this, but hold on a little longer, sweetheart. " Lily said, trying to cheer her up a bit. "Just one more step and everything will be back to normal, you'll see."
"Thank you, Lily. " The woman said sincerely. "Your words of encouragement really mean a lot to me. Thanks to you, I feel better." She said happily. "Now I've come to believe again that there's more to come than just these sad days. The sun always shines after the storm, right? I believe, I really believe, that everything will be okay now. "
"And that's good, sweetheart. You don't lose faith, and Bradley can see it. You lift both yours and his spirits. " Wilkinson added. "Talk to me after the operation, now you also rest. And remember to eat something! " She wagged her finger, though her friend couldn't see it.
"I will. " She replied, amused. "See you tomorrow. " Added and hung up.
In the evening, Jikyo finished his shift at work. Before returning home, he decided to stop by the cemetery and put flowers on the grave of little Ben and his mother. When he got there, he noticed that someone before him had also visited the place and left fresh sunflowers. The man guessed that it had to be his wife, Lily.
"Hi, partner. " He said and smiled faintly, then put the flowers, next to the bouquet from his wife. "I hope you're doing well there." Said then sighed heavily. "Lily and I are also doing well, although losing you was a strong blow for us... " He lowered his head sadly. "I miss you, you know?" He said sincerely. "But well..." Sighed once again. "We'll meet again on the other side, all three of us. But not now. " He added, then looked at the grave for the last time and was about to leave when he suddenly noticed a familiar face. "Jiho!" He called and walked over to his friend.
"Jikyo, hello mate. " The man said and greeted. "You were visiting little Ben, weren't you?" He guessed.
"Yes... " He admitted. "And you? Your mom? " He glanced at the tombstone of Jiho's parent. "How are you?" Asked with concern and looked at his friend.
"I can handle it, you know? " He said sincerely. "You know, I'm glad that at least before she died... We could clear things up. My dad is doing pretty well too, so I have nothing to complain about so far. " He chuckled softly. "And you? And how is Lily? "
"Better. I suppose. " He replied. "You know, it was hard, especially in the beginning. Anyway, you saw it yourself. " He said. "But now..." Sighed. "We're slowly recovering. " He smiled at his friend.
"I'm glad. " Jiho patted his shoulder. "Really. "

The next day, in the morning.
A young couple was sleeping soundly in their bedroom, they both had the day off so they wanted to get some sleep when suddenly the phone rang and woke them up.
"Mhm... " The blonde murmured. "Jikyoo, it's yours." She said in a sleepy voice.
"No, nae salang, it's yours. " He replied sleepily, not even opening his eyes.
"How come mine, since my phone died in the evening. " She argued. "And besides..."
After a second, they both jumped to their feet as it dawned on them that it might have been Sally with the news of how Bradley's surgery had gone.
"I told you it was yours. " Jikyo said when the blonde answered the call. "I put your phone on the charger, that's why. " He explained to which his wife nodded.
"Sally? Hello? How did it go? " She asked worriedly.
Lily, like Jikyo, had messy hair after waking up, but now they didn't care now.
"Put on speaker. " Park whispered so Liliana did.
"Sally? " Lily asked but silence answered her.
"Lily. " The woman answered after a long moment.
"Come on, don't scare us. "Blonde said.
"How's Bradley? " Jikyo asked.
There was silence for a moment, which made the young couple even more nervous.
"Better than you, old man. " Bradley's voice said cheerfuly, which made Lily squeal with joy, and Park began to laugh.
"I knew you wouldn't give up that easily. " Jikyo said cheerfully. "Good to hear you, my friend."
"You too. " The man said amused.
"It all worked out! " Sally added cheerfully.
"I'm so happy! " Liliana said.
"When are you coming back? " Jikyo asked.
"In a few days, for now, Bradley must remain under observation, but the doctors are optimistic. " Morgan said.
"All right, get well soon, Bradley. " Lily said.
"We're preparing a welcome party. " Park added. "So get ready." He laughed.
For once they could hear the good news. There's been too much bad going on lately, so a change like this is really something nice. Bradley had been struggling with the disease for many years, and now he and his wife, along with friends and family, hoped that they could breathe a sigh of relief. Start living life to the full again.
Now it seemed to only get better. And everyone believed it very much, they wanted to forget about the bad times and enjoy the good ones.
Unfortunately, we're not allowed to decide that.

A young couple decided to take advantage of the last days of summer and go for a long walk. When they decided that they wanted to rest a bit, they stopped at a nearby cafe and ate tasty ice cream.
"What flavor did you take? Oranges? " Jikyo asked with furrowed brows. "I have vanilla. "
"Mangoes. " Blonde replied.
"Wanna try it? " He asked and handed her a treat so she tried it. A moment later, man took advantage of her inattention and smudged her nose with a vanilla delicacy. "Suits you. " He laughed.
"Mm, I'm even tastier. " She replied and looked meaningfully at her husband, which amused him even more.
Moments later, Jikyo's phone rang.
"Hm? Andre? " The younger man said, still looking at his wife with amusement. "Yes, why? "
"Maybe your Lily would like to play permanently in this band that was at the Founders' Ball last year, ay? Girl has great talent. She should use it. " The elder said. "Will you ask her? "
"I'll try. " He replied looking at the blonde. "Nae salang. Do you want to continue playing the violin? In that band..."
"No. " She interjected as soon as she heard the question.
"E-eh..." Jikyo blinked several times. "Why not? " He asked surprised.
"I don't want to. " She replied.
"But..."
"Jikyo. " She looked at him sternly, so he made a cute offended face and sighed.
"You heard, Andre? " He asked as he heard his boss chuckle softly.
"Let her think it over. " The elder said. "Okay. I'll leave you two alone. " He chuckled.
"Why you don't want it? " Park asked again as soon as he put the phone down. "You're good at this. You said yourself that you like to play. "
"Yes, but I don't want to play in a band. " She replied. "Besides, you know I only learned how to play to spite my parents. " She said.
"Nae salang..." He said with a charming face. "Will you think it over? " He smiled.
"I'll think about it. " She replied and shook her head, and her answer greatly pleased Jikyo.
The blonde smiled and gave him a light flick on the nose, which only made him chuckled.

Wattpad is making fun of me. I had sentences translated from Korean into English, they were arranged so nicely next to a given fragment, at the top, as if you were writing a power in an equation. Everything was saved and now the layout is messed up :( I'm complaining about this, really annoying. But I hope you'll get the point as you read, or if not, just ask me and I'll answer ;)
How are you?
Have a nice day/evening!
