A Major Inconvenience
Part two of a minor inconvenience. Also i would just like to apologize in advance for what is to come...
Peter's wounds from the mission were finally almost healed, yet he still wasn't allowed to leave the tower for another few days.
He was bored out of his mind. You'd think there would be a lot to do in a giant compound meant for superheroes, but there wasn't. No one was there so he was all alone with Friday.
"Hey Friday?" Peter asked the ceiling.
"Yes Peter?" Friday responded.
Peter jumped up onto the couch.
"How much longer until dad comes back?"
If an AI could sign or be annoyed, Friday was.
"One minute less than the last time you asked me Peter." She replied. Peter groaned and flopped down onto the couch.
He figured he could just go make himself some food or something. That's a good thing to do when you're bored.
But he had no idea of what was to come when he'd left the living room and entered the kitchen...
Peter gasped loudly and placed a hand over his chest in shock. He looked up to the ceiling once more.
"Friday! Call dad! We've got a really big problem!"
{•••}
The avengers mission was going great. No problems, just an easy target SHEILD needed them to take out.
They knew how much Peter wanted to come on missions with them, but they needed to make sure he was recovered first.
Plus, what could go wrong if they left him at home alone for a little while?
Apparently something bad. Tony's suit alerted him of Peter's call and Tony sent it through all the comms so they could all hear him.
"What's up Pete?" Tony said nonchalantly. They were met with Peter's panicked voice, something very foreign to them.
"We've got a really big problem here! Oh my god I can't believe this is happening!" Peter exclaimed.
Everyone froze and their eyes widened.
"What's going on Peter?" Tony panicked.
The call became staticky. All Tony could hear was a muffled response.
"Th-... n-... ut-... ft-...!"
Then the line went dead.
Tony panicked some more.
"Avengers we gotta go now! Peter must be in trouble if he's freaking out this much."
So they took off. Their mission was basically done anyways.
When they finally got back to the tower, they rushed as fast as they could to help Peter. When they burst into the kitchen, they saw him.
There Peter was, clutching an empty jar of peanut butter, with two slices of bread and some jelly sitting on the counter.
"There's no peanut butter left!!!" Peter exclaimed with a look of horror on his face.
Steve's mouth was open, Clint facepalmed, Natasha laughed to herself, and Tony looked at his son with the 'are you freaking kidding me' look.
"Peter, what's the life threatening problem here?" Tony asked as calmly as he could.
Peter pointed at the jelly coated bread as if it was obvious.
"I put the jelly on my nice soft bread, then when I went to get the peanut butter, there was none left! Now the jelly is all soaked into my bread and there's literally no point to existence at all."
Clint burst into laughter with Natasha. Tony and Steve just sighed. Peter still had his arms thrown up into the air.
"So let me get this straight, you bleeding to death is not a big deal, but if there's no peanut butter left it's the end of the world?" Steve asked.
Peter nodded like it was obvious.
"Uh yea."
Tony just rolled his eyes.
"Friday, order more peanut butter, and remind me to always reverse minor and major whenever Peter says them."
"You got it sir." She replied.
Peter's jaw dropped.
"Wait no! This is a real problem! How am I supposed to make PB&J if there's no PB!? I don't want just a J!" He exclaimed.
Tony came over and patted his son on the back.
"How about a BLT instead?"
Peter nodded and went to grab the necessary ingredients.
"Dad! We've got another major problem over here! There's no bacon!"
Yayyyy this was so fun and not full of death and injury!!! Sorry it's kinda short but I hope you all enjoyed it anyways!!
