I got some inspiration from a skit I found on YouTube titled "Voltron Skit Best in Master Class Anime Banzai" posted by RENNAgade Cosplay. It was so cool, so go check it out! If you're the cosplayer and don't like me using this, let me know and I will change it, but please don't hate...

"Shiro!" Keith screamed, but the Black Paladin didn't move, as if he never heard him.

Keith slammed and jerked on the bars, but they didn't budge. The only result was a sore arm.

Haggar, strolled around her prize, her evil laugh ringing in Keith's furry ears.

"Oh no, my toy is broken," she cooed, knowing full well that the Red Paladin could hear. "What a shame--"

"You," Shiro growled, slowly lashing out at her.

Haggar only laughed at his pitiful attempt to harm her. "And with your arm, you were truly starting to embrace the Galra way of life--"

"No, I'm not like you," Shiro grunted, his voice ragged with pain and anger as he instinctively clinged to his prosthetic.

It made Keith's heart shatter and his blood boil at seeing Shiro so broken. Enraged, Keith continued shouting toward his leader, attacking the bars with renewed ferocity.

I'm this close! Hang in there, Shiro! This nightmare will be over soon!

"Not yet, dear Paladin, but you will be," she replied, as lightning appeared around her fingertips. Shiro's arm simultaneously started to glow. They way Shiro peered at it in surprise, it was obvious he hadn't willed his arm to activate. "It's time you became the weapon you were made to be!"

"No!" Keith's shout was drowned out by Shiro's pain filled scream. He thrashed on the floor from her deadly magic. After what seemed like hours to both Paladins, Haggar ceased the onslaught, and peered at the result with pride.

"Arise, Champion," Haggar commanded, and Shiro stumbled to his feet and limped away from the witch. Did Shiro just obey her...? No, it's just a coincidence, Keith thought with certainty. I have to focus. Patience yields focus...

"No, that's not me," Shiro snapped back, clutching his head fearfully. "I'm not listening!"

"My Pet, as if you had a choice," she sneered, before holding her hand out to him. Shiro's body stiffened, and his eyes glowed yellow.

She forced him to his feet again, and Keith watched as his leader and closest friend bowed to Haggar. Keith slammed into the bars again, and heard a loud crack.

He took a few steps back, glaring as Haggar started choking Shiro with her magic. With a running start, Keith leapt at the bars one more time.

"Shiro!" Keith howled as the bars shattered, and he lunged at the damned witch. This was it. It would all be over with this final attack. Haggar couldn't defend against Keith quick enough.

But she didn't have to.

Something strong slammed into Keith from the side, sending Keith tumbling across the floor. Keith was on his feet again, eyes quickly darting to find the sentries that attacked him.

Except it was still just the three of them in the room. Keith locked eyes on Shiro, as he stood in front of Haggar, protecting her. His hand glowed as he snarled at his fellow Paladin.

"Sh--Shiro?" Keith stammered, taking an instinctive step back. Shiro smirked, his glare seeming to bore straight through the Red Paladin.

"Good to see you, Red Paladin," he snarled, Haggar's voice leaving his lips instead of his own. "Let's play!"

Keith could barely blink before Shiro lunged.

Keith could barely dodge his attacks, not only because of his strength and speed, but Keith was too shocked to counterattack. It wasn't supposed to be like this. Keith wasn't supposed to fight the one he truly saw as a brother.

"Yes!" Haggar cheered. "Destroy the Red Paladin! Embrace your destiny serving the Galra Empire!"

Shiro's dark grin never faded during attack after attack. He actually laughed at Keith struggling to block and dodge each punch and kick.

A punch would send the teen sprawling, before he was on his feet and Shiro would rush at him again. One roundhouse kick knocked Keith's dagger away.

Keith's mounting fear reached its peak when his back hit the wall. Shiro slammed his normal fist into the wall inches from Keith's head, forming a web of dents and cracks in the metal wall.

Shiro's Galra arm latched around Keith's throat, lifting the teen into the air. His stronger prosthetic hand slowly began squeezing the life out of Keith.

"It's such a shame, really," Shiro mocked victoriously, his smirk widening. "He cared about you so much."

"Shiro!" Keith gasped, his vision blurring as he struggled to get any air into his lungs. "Please! Y--You have to remember! Remember Voltron, remember Allura and the others! We miss you! We never stopped searching for you!"

Shiro's eyes twitched slightly, his smile shrinking a little bit. Keith knew he was in there, he just had to bring him out. "I--I told you w--we would make it th--through this, that y--you would st--ay the leader of Vol--tron--"

Keith's voice stopped working as the strength ebbed from his body. Just as the darkness seemed to close in, Shiro released him, and Keith crumpled to the floor.

"No!" Haggar shrieked, summoning her lightning. "You're mine!"

Shiro stepped towards her, but stopped as he seemed to fight for control over his own body. Haggar stepped within reach, and started to regain control.

Shiro caught a glimpse of Keith, sprawled across the ground, gasping for air. The teen was right. Shiro already belonged to a team.

"Stop it!" He roared, ramming his arm through Haggar's stomach. Her body fell to the floor with a sickening wet thud, and Shiro promptly collapsed from the exhaustion and pain.

Keith sprinted over and helped the Black Paladin to his feet. Keith heard a slow clap from somewhere above him, and spotted Lotor's silhouette in an observation room.

Keith gave the Prince one last hateful glare, before hoisting Shiro up onto his shoulder.

"Come on, Shiro," Keith grunted. "Let's go home."

The two Paladins shuffled through the corridors, Haggar's cackle echoing behind them.
