#299 After I Finish a Really Good Book

SPOILER ALERT

What is it with these Herondales? I keep wanting to slap Will just like I wanted to slap Jace in TMI. He's being absolutely infuriating. There's probably a tragic reason for him continually being horrible to Tessa-some deep, dark secret of his, at which point she will probably forgive him on the spot, but I DON'T CARE. When will characters in books learn that keeping secrets never helps them in the end?!
I'm at the part where Tessa is up on the roof with Will, right after the funeral (Thomas and Agatha dying was so sad....), and she's just told him she's staying at the Institute and he's just being all cold to her. UGH.
In all other aspects, the book is turning out great. Not as good as TMI, but still awesome. Cassandra Clare can write fabulously about every time period, be it the late 1800s or the 21st century. Those plot twists, though-I really did feel like Sherlock Holmes because I figured out that De Quincey (how do you pronounce his name?) wasn't really the Magister, although I didn't think of Mortmain. And NATE. I can't believe he betrayed Tessa like that!
You can go back to the chapter where I ranted about all the punishments I wanted to inflict on Sebastian to know how I feel about Nate. Piece of mundane scum...*mutters a lot worse under breath*
