Stayin' Alive

I liveeeee!!!!!
So, my two weeks with my sister has been pretty eventful. To start off, I figured out something to help me when I get panic attacks (I found out that anxiety attacks and panic attacks are the same thing. I did some research). Well, my sister helped me with this. She uses some essential oils for stuff, which is really healthy for you. Well, she told me that Frankincense helps with anxiety. It smells really good. I also found out thanks to TheClarininja that hugging something does help!
Here's how I figured it out:
One day, my sister and her mom left me home alone for about three or four hours. I did some stuff on her laptop for a little bit and then got in the shower. When I got out, I got out my trumpet and was about to play a note when I thought I heard something: voices.
I paused for a second and listened, thinking I was going crazy. I kept hearing the voices, so I put my trumpet down and crept down the stairs....where I saw a figure standing at the door. I flipped. Through the fragmented window, I saw a blonde woman. I dashed back up the stairs and went into my sisters room.
I could feel a panic attack coming on. I was home alone without a phone (I didn't take this phone with me to KY and they got rid of their house phones) and someone was at the door.
I opened the bottle of frankincense and inhaled deeply, which helped a lot. I then went over and hugged a giant stuffed dog, which helped. I almost hugged my sister's mom's cat, Dilious (I think that's how you spell it. Pronounced Dill-Ee-Ose), but he's a bit of a grouch, so he probably would've clawed me.
I almost walked out of the room again but turned around and grabbed my trumpet, Stewart, the dented one. It was as good as a weapon that I could muster since the good knives were downstairs in the kitchen, which has windows overlooking the front of the house and driveway.
I crept down the stairs again, holding the trumpet like a baseball bat. The woman was gone. For a split second, I had joked with myself that the Kidnappers had come for me and that she was headed around back to try to look in. However, I caught a glimpse of a black shirt. I thought it was my sister's stepdad talking to the woman, but he left for work about thirty minutes before. I held on to that thread of hope though and snuck into the kitchen, looking out the window.
There was the blonde woman standing there in the driveway with another younger woman about in her twenties or thirties and a guy about as young in a black shirt.....who I swore was looking right at me! I shrunk away from the window and dashed up the stairs to my sister's mom's room, where I could see them through the window without being seen.
There were two cars parked on the curb and the people talking in the driveway. They had moved to the cars, I think. I had thought that maybe they were lost and stopped and asked for directions and it was a neighbor giving it to them. I made the conclusion that they probably weren't breaking in anytime soon, so I went back to my sister's room to put my trumpet up.
I returned to the window and saw my sister and her mom pulling in in their van at that moment. I breathed a sigh of relief and ran downstairs to let my sister in, who was knocking on the door.
Well, I finally figured out who the people were. My sister's mom has their house put up for sale because she wants to move to Florida. The older woman was a relator and the younger couple were customers. I told my sister how freaked out I was and we made lunch to help me calm down.
So, I had an adventure right there, lol.
Ok, moving on. Before vacation, I went to the dentist to get two cavities filled because they causing toothaches.
Well, I got so mad because at the beginning of the two weeks staying with my sister, they ached worse than they have before. I swear, it was the same two teeth! It happened when I ate a spoonful of soup. I think it's triggered from temperature change. A shooting pain went through my teeth. My sisters mom used to work at a dentist office and she said I most likely need a root canal.
I was so mad because the dentist would've known from X-rays if it was bad enough for that! She was supposed to fix my aching!
Ok, enough of my ranting. I made some pretty cool art when I was at my sisters with crayons.
For the first one, my sister had to take a picture of me so I could look off of it so I could draw my silhouette and it actually looked really cool.
So, here's what the final product looks like:
For my second piece of art, I took some old music that I never used or I printed on accident and cut it up. Then, I laid it out on canvas and modge-podged it. Here's how it turned out:
I like them.
So, my sister also dropped me off at a music store in her town. Once again, it only sold string instruments, but I did get something there.
What's cool is when I checked out, I got a discount for being a brass player. Literally. I bought two, which $4.95 each. Well, the cashier had different plans.
"Ah, so you're a horn player," the cashier lady said to me.
"Yes," I say.
"What do you play?" she asks.
"Trumpet," I reply.
"Do you like it?"
"Yes."
"What do you play?" This threw me for a second because she just asked that but I figured it out.
"You mean brand?"
"Yes."
"Well, my school rental is a Jupiter."
"Do you like it?"
I shrug. "I guess so. I hope to have my own some day."
"Well, I'm proud of you, so I'll take a dollar off of each," she says.
I thanked her and also told her about Stewart. So that was cool.
My sister and I did a lot of swimming and movie watching over the break. (My hair turned lighter so I'm happy about that). She was shocked when she found out I had never seen Pirates of the Caribbean and made me watch the first three, lol. All of the movies we watched were ones I had never seen before.
Johnny Depp is like my spirit animal, lol. Not only is he an amazing Jack Sparrow, but also an awesome Mad Hatter, as well as a Grindelwald.
As you can probably guess, I watched Alice Through the Looking Glass, and Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
I also finally watched Drumline! It was good! I got it to own. I also watched a movie called The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. It is SOO good. What's funny is the only reason I wanted to see it was because a few weeks ago, a song called Stay Alive by Jośe Gonzalez came on my Pandora station and it said it was in that movie. So when I saw the movie at my sister's library, I thought it looked good because of the song I heard in it. Turns out it was!
Another movie I watched based off of a song was E.T. The theme from that was part of Advanced Band's marching show last year along with Star Wars, Raiders March, and Jurassic Park. I had seen at least one of each except for E.T, so I had to watch it. I also watched Passengers.
Anyways, I got a lot of cd's, but this is getting long, and I don't want to bore you guys. However, I'm going to Amro Music in Memphis, Tennessee, so I'll update about that. It has actual band instruments there! I'm excited! See ya!
