She now really wished that she wasn't the ruler of the dream realm. Being the dream realm ruler, she had the appearance of being a dream girl. The only person unaffected by her slight change in appearance was Gladion so far. He'd known her ever since they were little and had always seen her as beautiful even before she'd gained her longer hair and its strangely alternating colors.
The only real difference in her appearance was her hair and eyes which could change from silver to gold to rainbow depending on whether or not she used her powers. Everything else stayed the same.
She had just had one of those occasional moments where she couldn't control what color her hair became. It happened soon after Brendan and May had introduced themselves. They arrived only about fifteen minutes after she and Gladion had gotten to Professor Birch's lab.
He had announced that he wanted us to meet some good trainers that he thought would be better tour guides than he was. What he hadn't mentioned was that they were contest stars.
They were still wearing their outfits when they got there. Gladion was talking to the professor about if there were any prophetic pokémon and despite her curiosity, (y/n) decided not to ask him why he wanted to know so badly.
Instead, she talked to a nearby scientist and asked her if she knew anything about the pokémon Arceus. She didn't know very much but suggested that (y/n) visit Sinnoh one day because there was a lady there that knew more about it than she did. (Y/n) took note of this and was about to head back over to Gladion when the pair arrived.
"Sorry, Dad! Air traffic was horrible just now. The wild pokémon just kept showing up, but we handled them," the boy said. They were out of breath for some reason.
"Why so tired, Brendan?" Birched asked. Although he asked the question, he didn't seem all that concerned.
"Well, we had to stop early in Rustboro city because the wild pokémon were acting too strangely. May said it was unwise to continue so we ran all the way here from there. Luckily nobody wanted to battle us along the way," Brendan replied, doing his best to catch his breath.
"Your the one who thought it was a good idea to carry me half the way here! You didn't have to do that by the way. I could have run here just fine on my own," May protested since Brendan tried to place most of the blame on her.
"Well, yeah, but those weird people in those red costumes were looking at you weird and I assumed it had something to do with your skirt. It's a little lower than usual," Brendan said.
"How would you know all of that!" May shouted and she bashed him on the head before pulling her skirt up a little.
"Ouch! May, that hurt...you didn't have to hit me so hard," Brendan whined as he rubbed his head.
(Y/n) laughed at this a little and for the first time since they'd gotten there, May and Brendan realized that she was there. It wasn't like she was standing in their view. She had been walking back towards Gladion and the professor.
"Hey, you're that girl that Lisia was giving death glares to," May stated rather bluntly. The statement cause (y/n) off guard.
"May! You weren't supposed to tell her that. It's rude," he said as he nudged her.
"Who's Lisia?" (y/n) asked. The name sounded familiar but (y/n) didnt know why since she didn't know anyone named Lisa.
"She was one of the contestants in that show that we watched earlier, (y/n). Though I'm not suprised that you don't remember her. You had to go after Reiji when she was announced," Gladion said like the expert he was.
Now she remembered that before all of the contestant's names could be called, Reiji had darted off into the main lobby after someone who he claimed had tried to spy on them.
(Y/n) had left Gladion in the audience and had put Reiji in his pokéball once she caught him. No wonder she didn't know that the girl she'd been watching perform was named Lisia.
May and Brendan walked over to where they could all stand closer to one another without having to speak across the one roomed building. The professor was about to say something when his attention, as well as everyone else's, was directed towards her. Brendan and May stared at her in awe and Professor Birch stared at her with curiosity. Gladion just stared at her with surprise.
"W-what?" she asked. Of course, (y/n) hadn't noticed yet and had no idea why she was noe the center of attention.
"(Y/n), I thought you had that under contol. Your hair, it's umm, it's changing again," Gladion said. It was to late for her to try keeping this secret now.
She hated when her hair chose the wrong times to defy her. She pulled a strand of it in front of her and said, "It is, huh. That really sucks. I really didn't want to have to explain all of this," (y/n) complained.
She had managed to keep her powers a secret from even Professor Sycamore. She feared that if any type of professor of scientists were to find out about it, they would run tests on her and use her as a lab rat. She shivered at the thought.
"You don't have to explain if you don't want to," May said as she stared at its mesmerizing color. It was the color of a dying red star which caused her hair to fade into pinks and ultimately purples.
"Actually, I think she does owe us an explaination. Professor Sycamore didn't tell me about this which means you could be an impostor," Birch said. His expression hardened but she could still see the gleam of curiosity in his eyes. That was the same gleam that all of the professors she'd met got when they were testing out something new. She hated that gleam.
"Actually, she doesn't need to tell you anything. She has a condition, so what. It doesn't make her feel any better about it with you questioning her about it and calling her an impostor," Gladion said with his eyes closed and arms crossed. His eye that was not covered by his hair opened to glare at Professor Birch.
"Right, my apologies. The real reason I called you here, son, was to show these two around. They also will need some helpful allies since they are new to the ways of the Hoenn region. They're from Alola so if you teach them they're bound to teach you as well," Birch said. He was clearly trying to get rid of them since he had put himself into a bad situation.
"Thanks for that, Gladion," (y/n) told him through telepathy, but since it only worked one way Gladion couldn't show his approval in the same way. Instead, he looked over at her and winked. It wasn't noticed by the others for some strange reason.
"Oh yes and (y/n). You are welcome to visit any time. Your pokémon expertise could be used very well to help with my reseach," Professor Birch said.
"Dad!" Brendan spoke in warning. Then Gladion took hold of her hand and guided her out of the lab. She could tell that he'd had enough of the professor trying to pry into her business. May and Brendan soon followed behind them.
Gladion didn't let her hand go and intead he pulled her closer when all of a sudden, a woman that came from out of nowhere stepped in front of them.
"Yes, you'll do perfectly. You're just as the rumors say you are. Absolutely gorgeous. Would you mind coming with me. This is a serious matter. If you don't take action fast, you'll regret it," the woman said to (y/n). Her black hair swaying as she slightly bounced with excitement.
"And who might you be?" Gladion said. He had puled (y/n) into a protective hug. She didn't dare move. She could see Brendan and May watching from behind them. They were trying to get as close as they could without causing any alarm to the mysterious woman.
"Oh, you're fiesty. I like that. You can help too. Oh and you can use mega evolution as well," she said pointing to the keystone Gladion had attached to a charm bracelet that (y/n) had made for him. He didn't know it was showing because it was usually tucked safely up his jacket sleeve.
"If you really must know, I am Zinnia. I have the greatest duty of all and that is to save all of Hoenn from destruction. I can only do that with your help. You are the girl that I will need to lure Lord Rayquaza here to save us all. He will only acknowledge the greatest sacrifice," Zinnia said as she pointed at (y/n).
(Y/n) flinched at the word sacrifice. It reminded her so much of that nightmare. The part where she was tied to an alter. Gladion's hug tightened around her and he said, "Sacrifice? You want to sacrifice her?" She could hear the shakiness in his voice. Even if she was immortal now, he didn't want to lose her for any reason and she knew that.
"Yes! You understand! Good! Now I just need you to follow me and we can summon Lord Rayquaza here to save us and then this will be all over before you know it" Zinnia said happily. This woman was crazy. (Y/n) knew that for sure.

Was anybody else scared for (y/n) when Zinnia mentioned sacrifice? Yeah that's a bit weird. Well, I have nothing else to say so goodbye until next time!
