Letter 12
Dear Meera,
I think it is apt that in my last letter to you (before the hike), I describe the first time I noticed my interest for you. I am sure it will make you laugh, just as much as it brightens my day up whenever I think about it. So, here goes nothing..................
I was in the chemistry laboratory, ironically. You'll know why it is ironic at the end of the letter, so don't worry about it. It was a pretty normal afternoon, and we were doing acid-base titrations. It was like second nature to me. I had done this a lot of times, and I was there in my pretty comfortable bubble, not worrying about anything, just concentrating on the job at hand.
I forgot to mention it to you, but due to my roll number, my table was the one right opposite the door. And there I was measuring 20 ml of the standard solution from the flask using a pipette, where one had to suck the end of the pipette to create suction for the solution to rise up.
Usually, I was very focused on my experiment, but that day, when I was measuring the 20 ml in the test tube, I heard laughs. I looked up briefly, to see who it was, but my eyes never went back to the pipette. All because of that beautiful and cute wonder in front of eyes, something I hadn't seen that often, but that day I knew with every cell of my being, I wanted to see it everyday of my life (Irony: I was in the Chemistry lab, but I wrote cells there!). And it was.................., your smile.
And you could guess what happened next. The pipette solution went right into my mouth (can't blame me, my focus was on more beautiful things.)! I choked for a second, but immediately spit it at the nearby sink. My poor burnt tongue!
But that was my moment of Epiphany. I liked you a lot.
And I would love to say those words to you in person.
Entirely Yours,
Shaitan.

When Meera read the first few paragraphs in the letter, she couldn't stop laughing. It wasn't funny. It was downright hilarious. She couldn't help but giggle when she came to the part of her smile. He was just too cute, and she just couldn't handle it. But her smile slowly faded as her eyes scanned the rest of the letter. The last 4 lines made Meera shed a few tears. Her tears were a mix of joy, sadness, anxiety and eagerness.
Joy, because of the beautiful and cute letter. Sadness because it was his last letter to her in the familiar settings of their town. Anxiety, because they were stepping into new and unfamiliar ground. And Eagerness, because she was going to see him soon....................

Woah! Inspiration strikes at the weirdest places. I was just doing the above mentioned experiment in chemistry lab and I knew that the idea was hilariously cute and I just had to include it in my story.
Love it? Hate it? Okay with it?
Share your thoughts by commenting below. It would make my day!
In case you didn't guess it yet, I am slowly but steadily building the story up.....................
Ok just asking, but am i visible fellow wattpaders? Guess it's my first time facing issues with wattpad. Will be back with better news by the next chapter
