"You're standing on my leg!", Omkar hissed at Karthik, who seemed to be lost in his own world.

Meera shushed them for what seemed to be the hundredth time.

Suddenly, a sharp knock silenced all of them. They could here Gauthami opening the door, letting whoever it was, inside the room.

"Did you get any prank calls?", a sharp male voice rang in them room, and Meera swore she could see the boys huddle closer in fright.

"N-no sir. We were just watching TV.", Gauthami replied, and Meera almost face-palmed.

What does prank calls have to do with TV?

"Ok then. We are going to disconnect your phone to avoid further disturbances. If you need to call anyone, then contact one of your teachers or parent volunteers, alright?"

"Yessir.", all the girls in the room, replied. 

All Meera could hear for the next five minutes were the sounds of someone cutting the wires, and the girls whispering. Then, Meera realised that the bathroom telephone will be the next target. So she pushed and prodded through the boys, to the toilet, and flushed it loudly, trying to drown out the sound made by the noisy boys in the bathroom.

"Who's in there?", called the shop voice.

"M-me sir. I'm M-Meera.", Meera gulped, hating how scared she felt.

"If you can come out now, we will disconnect the bathroom telephone.", he said, his voice nearer to the bathroom door.

"N-no, I can't come out now. I'm g-going to b-bath", Meera winced at her feeble attempt of an excuse.

"Alright then. We will have to come back in an hour or so, after all rooms are done, to disconnect this one.", the voice instructed.

Another five minutes later, the room was quiet.

"You can come out now.", Gautham knocked on the door.

And all hell broke loose.

"Seriously? I-I'm g-going t-to b-bath?", Omkar mimicked her, scrunching up his face.

"Mock me all you want, but I'm the one who saved all your arses.", Meera said, unfazed by Omkar's annoying-ness. She had gotten used to it, accepted it even.

"Yeah, that's true. Thanks for saving us Damsel in shining armour!", Karthik saluted her, as he kept his other arm on Omkar's shoulder.

Meera narrowed her eyes. One could never be sure if Karthik was serious, or joking around.

"Hey, just ignore them. Thank you very much for saving us.", Meera turned to find Aayush offering her a sincere smile. Meera smiled in return.

"Meera! You were amazing! Like seriously, we all owe you so much. So, we have decided to give you the honour of choosing the movie for tomorrow's bus ride. The bus ride to tomorrow's trek will be pretty long. You are coming in our bus, right? ", Arun pulled her into a huge group of people, who thanked her and quickly left to avoid being caught.

Meera looked all around her.
