Chapter 2

-August 12-

Olympus finally opened up. I overheard a couple of Demeter kids talking about it as I passed them by on my way to the dining pavilion. By opened up I mean called camp for a meeting. Despite the need to address the camp about how things are going to be from now on, I had thought that Olympus wasn't going to say anything until the Winter Solstice meeting, if not by the Autumn Equinox.

I followed behind everyone else into the throne room. It looked kind of like the last time I was here, only a bit more damaged. The gods sat on their thrones in their natural height. I felt like an ant compared to them. We sat on the floor or on pieces of rock that had fallen during the Second Titan War. I chose to stand against the wall, seeing as people were miffed with me these days.

"We called this meeting to address the rumors of a traitor." Zeus began. No one sucked in a breath. No one had to, they all started it. And I knew exactly who they were talking about.

"The name of this traitor is Perseus Jackson." The room erupted into agreeing whispers and head nods. I stood in fury, but I held my tongue. I wasn't known to be respectful to the gods. On many occasions they admitted to wanting to harm me in some way, but didn't because of my father. I had a feeling my dad wasn't going to come to my rescue this time.

"Perseus Jackson, you are accused of treason, siding with the enemy in both wars, and charged with the murder of Jason Grace, son of Jupiter. What do you say?" Apollo asked me. I tightened my jaw.

"I didn't do it. I haven't seen or spoken to Jason since the war ended. I haven't sided with the enemy at all," I paused to look at all of the angry faces of the people that once considered me family. "However, I do not wish to argue with you. I am obviously unwanted at camp, and I can't say you all feel any different either. I'm not sure that anything I could say would even change your minds" I said. The council looked at me with some surprise. This is the part where I should be sarcastic or provocative. But I was tired of fighting.

Apollo nodded and looked at my father. I glanced around the campers. Some had their jaws brushing the floor with how calm and cooperative I was. My father looks at me with a hard look in his eyes, and gave him a slight nod of my head.

"I, Poseidon god of the sea, hereby disown Perseus Jackson." My father said. If you were really looking, he sounded almost confused with me being calm and 'alright' with his decision.

"Mr. Jackson, you are no longer allowed to be in either of the camps, nor are you allowed to interact with any camper who happens to be outside of the camp." Zeus added.

"Thank you sir." I said before turning and walking out of the throne room.

As soon as I stepped into the elevator, the golden barrier that Hermes said kept mortals out glowed to life. While I rode the elevator down, I decided to stay away from mom and Paul, in case they have the same opinion. I can't imagine that they would, but rather than experiencing hate from my mother, I'd just write them a letter.

The question now was what was I going to do with my life?
