Chapter 4

Flame
———
I wandered down the street with my black coat on. I had my invisible cloak if I needed it in my bag. It was so quiet and deserted, as if no one lived here at all. I don't know what I'm doing here, why am I walking down this road? I should be at home playing Call of Duty at home with Fang, or bullying my little sister, Star.
A small black shadow carrying a big duffle bag slithered toward the medium size house at the end of the road. It knocked on the door twice. The door opened quickly and a familiar head popped out to scan the area. The head then speedily ushered the figure into the house. Something drew me to watch from the window at the side of the house. I crept to the window and peered in. There in the living room stood Sir Crestwood and and the figure.
The figure took off the cape it was wearing and threw it gracefully onto the coat tree revealing that the figure was a girl with a stunning and hot body. Then she removed her mask. The mask revealed that the girl had short black hair as dark as a night with no moon, however, the hair had jagged blue streaks, lightning running through a stormy night. She shook out her hair and turned to pick up the duffel bag on the floor. When she turned she revealed smokey blue eyes with gold specks in them. They were so stunning and... What on earth! It's the IceFlame! What. What is she. What is she doing here! What is she doing in the house of my royal captain! What is Crestwood doing! He is committing treason by soliciting and meeting with the enemy. This is an utter disgrace to the kingdom. How dare he!
I watched as the IceFlame take out a big bunch of bundled money and put it into the grabby, grubby, hands of Crestwood. That is royal treasure. How dare he. How dare he use his grubby hands to touch something so clean! Something that belongs to the Palace! That is against the law. That is treason! I watched the exchange between them as Crestwood nodded his head towards IceFlame and whispered in her ear. She laughed, but not in a happy, joyful laugh. It was more of a scornful, despising laugh. As if she were laughing sarcastically. As if she was mafia leader and Crestwood had done something despicable. IceFlame replied back to what Crestwood had commented. As she did her eyes grew darker and anger collected in the back of her eyes. Crestwood backed away as if submitting to her. He asked IceFlame something and she nodded her head. Then he turned towards the kitchen and scampered into it, a scared little puppy with its tail between his legs.
I slithered down the wall, away from the window, unhappy at my discovery. I pulled out my phone and texted my personal assistant to send the royal guards now. The I sat there and pondered on my next move that will help me conquer this betrayer. If Crestwood is a betrayer, how many more betrayers are there?
