Chapter 15
Ice
I didn't know what to expect when I went in to meet Princess Liana. However, I certainly wasn't expecting a prim and proper princess that looked like she just came straight out from a fairytale story. She had long golden wavy hair with a golden tiara. She had baby blue eyes and pink pouty lips with not a single wrinkle or acne in sight. A thin but strong body dressed in a flowing purple silk dress and hands adorned with white satin gloves. Her feet wore a pair of sparkly high heels that were at least 3 in. high. If I wore those, I would immediately break my ankle. Her skin fair but not so fair that she looked like a vampire. She was a living porcelain doll that used to sit on my mother's shelf. She was a living barbie doll that little girls love to play with. She didn't look as friendly as those dolls though.
"Hello, Princess Liana, I'm Prince Flame and this is Ice."
She immediately turned to examine me from head to toe. Scanning me as if sizing me up. As if I was a threat to her existence.
"Ice? No status? Is she a maid?"
Her voice was soft, quiet but intimidating. It spoke of person not to be messed with. I knew we were not going to get along at all.
"No-"
"Who are you, Ice?"
"I am Ice Legend. Best friend of Prince Flame."
"Best friend? Are you sure you are just best friends?"
She turned on Flame.
"How can you be mixing with commoners, you are a prince, Prince Flame. Higher social classes do not mix with those with those of lower class."
"I socialize with who I like, Princess Liana." His tone taut and increasingly sour with each word.
Fang jumped in, "Princess, I would like you to know that Miss Legend here is one of the most intelligent and entertaining person I have ever met."
Princess Liana's nose wrinkled in disgust. "You mix with commoners too, Prince Fang. You, disappoint me. Obviously you princes have not been guided well."
"Princess Liana, you are not older than us. In fact, I believe we are all the same age."
"I never asked for you opinion, Prince Fang. If you are allowing commoners to be of equal status, you are clearly misguided. Also, commoners who believe they are of equal status to us should be taught a lesson." Her eyes shot daggers at me. If looks could kill, I would be six feet under.
The king finally entered the room.
"Glad to see you could make it on time, Flame. Do not be late again."
A glare was shot his way.
"Why are you here? Get out."
This question and demand was directed straight at me.
"I brought her here with me, Dad. She will stay."
"She doesn't belong here, Flame."
"She belongs with me and she will stay beside me."
"Very well, you may keep her, for now. However, you must lose her soon, she is unnecessary and inhibiting of future plans."
"What? What plans? I haven't heard about anything."
The king ignored his question as Princess Liana spoke, "As said earlier Prince Flame, she is just a commoner. She doesn't belong here and never will."
"Thank you, Princess Liana."
"What? Why? Why do I need to get rid of Ice?"
What? Why am I an inhibition of future plans. Why do they need to get rid of me. I get that I am a rebellion leader but it has to be something more than that if Princess Liana is here. Why is she here anyway?
"King Alpha, may I have the honor of being able to relay the good and important news?"
He nodded for Princess Liana to go on with the supposedly good and important news.
"Let me formally introduce myself. Hello, Prince Flame. I'm Princess Liana. Wait a minute, let me rephrase that. Hello fiance, I am your new fiancée"
