Once Link got out of Kokiri Forest and the Lost Woods, Sahasrahla voice came to him.

- "Link. Can you hear me? Is me, Sahasrahla. You did a great job obtaining the  Fairy Charm of Farore from the Lost Woods. You are now one step closer on getting the Great Fairy Rod. Now, there's one last Fairy Charm you have to find, and that is the Fairy Charm of Nayru. After you get it, I will show you the way to the Fountain of Greatness. The Fairy Charm of Nayru is on Lake Hylia, to the West of Hyrule. Farewell Link, and may the goddess Hylia guide your way."

Link ran quickly to the West. But before reaching the place, he found himself with Beedle.

- "Hey! is you! I want to thank you again for saving me from those monsters. And now that you're here, how about you buy something from me? I see that you have a bow. I can sell you some arrows if you want to."

Link nodded and gave some Rupees for some arrows; Beedle continued his journey, so those Link. After a long trip, he finally reached the entrance to Lake Hylia. However, he discovered that it was blocked by two huge boulders, and they could not be broken by Bombs. Link saw some workers nearby too. He then saw the boss and went to talk to him.

- "Well well well... looks like we have a traveler around here. Unfortunately, if you came here to see Lake Hylia, then you wasted your time. As you can see, those huge boulders are blocking the way. We don't know how they got there, but it will take sometime before we break through them. However, if you really want to see some watery place, then go to the southeast of Hyrule. You will find the Zora River around there."

Link didn't have any other choice. He ran to the southeast to find the Zora River, hoping to find any clues on how to get to Lake Hylia. Once he reaches the place, the first thing he found was two strange creatures. This were known as Zoras. Their bodies were white with some blue marks, and they had fins both on their heads, arms and legs.

- "So, the entrance to Lake Hylia on the west of Hyrule is blocked by two huge boulders?" one of the Zoras asked to the other Zora.

- "That's right" the other Zora confirmed. "Fortunately, the monsters running around the Lake won't go out to the field to torment the hylians thanks to those boulders. However, there's a high chance that they can attack our home. Therefore, we must put our eyes to the secret path that leads to the lake, right on the king's throne room."

Suddenly, a third Zora appeared.

- "We are having an emergency on Zora's Domain right now! Monsters have entered the place! Our fellow warriors are trying to hold them off, but I don't know how much they are going to resist!"

- "What!? But how!? Ugh... It doesn't matter! Let's go quickly and help them out!"

Without hesitation, the Zoras ran quickly to their home; Link heard everything and decided to follow them with the will to help them out. He jumped through many ledges, passed some small bridges, and killed some octopus monsters known as Octoroks until he finally reached the entrance to the home of the Zoras.

However, he was surrounded by a few monsters called Blue Tektites. They acted just like the Red Tektites, so it wasn't hard for Link to beat them. He was about to end the fight, but more of them came out of nowhere, surrounding him completely. However, many Zoras appeared from the river and joined the battle. Having the Zoras on his side, Link fought against all of the monsters, winning over them at the end. After that, another Zora appeared, but this one looked different than the others.

- "Hello there... my name is Ruto, and I am the princess of the Zora Tribe" she said. "We saw that you were having trouble fighting those monsters, so we decided to help you out. I can see that we came in a good time. Anyway, I would like to chat with you a bit longer, but now we have to save our home from the remaining monsters. If you're willing to help us, than you're more than welcome."

Link nodded at Princess Ruto and followed her and the rest of the Zoras to their home.
