It was a beautiful day the sky was clear and the sun was shining Asami was testing a new plane her family company made while y/n was on suva flying next to her

Asami: you know big guy you don't have to fly next to me every time I test out these planes

Y/n: then how gonna watch you in case you break down or clip a nail

Asami started descending as she landed the plane on the runway then y/n walked up to the plane and caught her as she jumped out of the plane then one of her mechanics came up to us

Asami: I think these planes are finally ready to ship

???: I hate to mention the elephant rhino in the room but since your father went to jail no business will work with us we're nearly bankrupt

Asami: don't worry me and y/n are going to the south pole to meet with someone that can help put future industries back on top

They walked past her employee as Asami had a doubtful look on her face

Then they walked inside her mansion

On the boat heading toward the south pole y/n was sitting on the railing of the poop deck talking with Asami as suva was fast asleep

Y/n: I was all like that's not a where suva and we couldn't find her anywhere until

The two started to laugh the horn of the ship blew,

After landing and speaking with the water tribe chief of the south pole Asami and y/n went to the northern water tribe ship for a meeting

Asami: I'm glad you came with me to this meeting verrick is one of the richest men in the world and he controls the entire global Shipping business. So you're my assistant. Just stand there and dont tell anyone you're the fire lord's son.

Y/n: yes ma'am after you madame

Asami:(giggles) you too much, let go

We walked into the meeting and the dude was touching his head like he was a telepath

Y/n: what's he doing

Asami: no idea

Verrick: ha! Did you see that? Levitating I was one foot off the ground

They all started clapping for him or sucking up for a better term

Then verrick walked up to me

Then an old man bowed before leaving the room bowing

He said dragging me over to where the old guy was sitting

Then she got on some machine that shined on him and Asami

Then it was a moving picture of some animal

I noticed Asami glaring at me so I looked at the food and started eating

Then he sat down in between me and Asami

Then he got close to Asami's face which made me feel a little upset

At the feast, since I was the avatar or a half of one anyway I had to sit at the main table along with korra and her folks

Korra: this is a wonderful feast in your honor uncle

Unalaq: this is nothing, when this Festival was founded, the tribal Elders would commune with the spirits. People would watch the brilliant displays of Lights as the spirits Danced in the Sky.

Korra: wow. I've never seen that. Y/n do you guys in the fire nation have something like this

Y/n: yeah we call it the dragon festival it's the same as this but instead of spirits we got dragons

Unalaq: I see I would love to see it one day. Since the Avatar is the bridge between the material world and spirits. That is why I wanted to teach you so badly, to help you fulfill your destiny.

Tonraq: I thought I had made it clear that tenzin would be teaching her.

Y/n: (getting real awkward sitting here )

Unalaq: every Avatar before you has traveled the world and learned. It was Tenzin and your father who wanted to keep you secluded in the South Pole. I'm sure the young fire lord can attest to this

Y/n:(please don't bring me into this)

Korra: I thought it was aang that ordered the white lotus to keep me down here

Tonraq: we all did what we thought was best for you.

Korra: who I train with should be my decision, dad, not yours or Tenzin's

Then I mouthed at Asami to help me but she just smiled and shrugged her shoulders
As Unalaq stood up

Unalaq: as your Chief, it is my honor to speak at this Festival, which was founded to bring our tribes together and restore the ancient balance between our world and that of the spirits. But I'm saddened to see what it's become. A cheap Carnival that celebrates greedy and trivial humans.

Y/n:(oh no)

Unalaq: I fear the time is fast approaching when the north can no longer stand idly by while our Southern Brothers slip into total spiritual decay. Angry Spirits are already attacking ships in your Waters. I only hope we are not too late to change course.

He sat down as everyone started whispering

Verrick: chief Unalaq everybody. Always great to have him in a town. Now let's have some fun with wacky wu shu's dancing otter penguins

Everyone clapped as they watch the show
And I got up cuz I had enough of being in between this family fight going on

Korra: hey where are you going

Y/n: to the bathroom, I'll be back

Nobody pov

Asami meet y/n back in our room as they slept on suva who got up and ran outside roaring and hissing

Asami: um is that normal

Y/n: no it is not

Y/n ran outside as suva wasn't the only one outside naga was howling as korra ran out after her

Y/n: hey what's going on

Korra: I don't know she just started howling out of nowhere

Then suva got into an attack like stance as   y/n looked and saw some kinda black creature appears 

Korra: what is that

Just then the creature moved at incredible speeds

And kicked korra away

Y/n: Korra!

Then it grabbed y/n but the throat before slamming him to the ground where korra was as it was about to eat them that's when mako and bolin came and started attacking the creature but it just smacked them away
So y/n and Korea started shooting fire together at the creature but it just dodged all of their attacks. As if they were fighting something untouched

Tonraq: korra!

Korra's father came riding in on ice as he circled the creature trapping it in a pillar made from Ice but the creature got out and grabbed korra, y/n, and Iraq with its black tentacles throwing them away

Y/n: okay im done, avatar mode

Korra: you ready my mind

They both closed their eyes before opening them as they glowed light blue. The creature then charged after them as korra went into the air y/n jumped back using the earth as the creature rammed through the fence korra and y/n started bombarding it with fireballs until it grabbed y/n with its tentacle and slammed him into korra as they both slammed into a pile of crates

Y/n&korra:(groans)

The creature was about to finish them off but water surrounded the beast as it was Korra's uncle Unalaq who was controlling it

Unalaq: go in peace

Y/n and korra walked up to him as tonraq and tenzin ran up to the three of them

Tenzin: are you both alright

Y/n: we're good

Korra: how could you control that spear when nobody else could

Unalaq: as your father could tell you, I've spent my life studying the spirits and learning their ways. All of this knowledge is lost in the South, but I could teach you everything I know. Both of you

Tenzin: chief Unalaq you are very knowledgeable, but they both still have much to learn about air bending, and I hope that going to the air temples will help them connect with the past avatars

Korra: ugh,

Y/n elbows her

Unalaq: the air temples will teach them nothing. Only I can give the training they need to be a complete Avatar

Tonraq: I told you that will not happen

Korra: bet we're still here! Does anybody want to ask us what we think

Tenzin: korra please listen

Korra: I'm tired of listening to you. Both of you. You keep me locked up telling me you know what's best, both of you were powerless against the spirit attack.

Tenzin&tonraq:...

Y/n: hey korra come on we didn't win either

Korra: maybe we would have. If we had the right teacher

Tenzin puts a hand on y/n shoulder and shakes his head

Tonraq: now korra

Korra: Unalaq has shown he's the only one who knows what we need to learn. I have to go with him

Tenzin: please, I know you're angry but we've come so far together

Korra: im sorry tenzin, but this is as far as we go. Are you coming y/n

Y/n:....no

Korra: what why!?

Y/n: I have my reasons just like you have yours

Korra: I see...

Unalaq: are you sure avatar y/n I can-

Y/n: im sorry but I've made up my mind

Unalaq seemed to be a little upset about that

Tenzin: it has been a pleasure serving your avatar korra. Let's go y/n we have a long journey ahead of us

Tenzin and his family had already packed up and as he was talking with katara and the rest of his siblings Asami walked up to me with her arms folded

Asami: so you're leaving huh?

Y/n: yeah, are you...mad?

Asami: a little but. You're the avatar I can't keep you tied next to me forever can I

Y/n: meh, maybe

We hugged before kissing one another

Y/n: I see you soon

Asami: I know, and stay away from other women got it, big guy

Y/n: same to you beautiful

Tenzin: y/n it's time to go

I nodded before getting on suva back as tenzin took off on his flying bison

Y/n: come on girl

Suva flew off as I looked back one more time at Asami's sadden face and at that moment, I kinda regretted my decision
