I slowly turned my head around and saw a masked boy.

'Are you ok'

'Err yeah thanks'

He let go of me so I could stand properly. I looked at the mask he was wearing; it was a beautiful gold colour with silver and white ring around the eyes...why was he wearing it? I wasn't the only one staring he too was looking at me, well through his mask. I smile slightly at him not knowing what to say.

'I'm sorry you must feel uncomfortable, my names Kai what's yours'

'My names Lizzy, it's nice to meet you Kai'

We stood there silently until I broke the silence.

'Kai, why is it that you wear a mask?'

'I don't know to be honest; I've had to wear it ever since I was little, though I hate it'

He looked up towards the sun and put his hand to the mask slowly taking it off. My eyes widened slightly. He was beautiful, his white hair blew in the wind, his skin paper white and his blood red eyes shined as they reflected of the sun. He must of caught me staring as he turned his head away from me.

'I'm weird I know, I've been told that a lot its fine, I'll put my mask back on if you're scared'

'Why would I be scared?'

'I'm different...a monster of sort'

'You think you're a monster...you should look at me'

I took the hood off my head that Yun told me to never to take off in front of strangers. Kai eyes widened slightly, as he looked at me before smiling.

Kai's POV

'You think you're a monster...you should look at me'

What did that mean, what could she mean? I watched as Lizzy took hood of her head. My eyes widened slightly, I couldn't believe it she was beautiful. Her hair was half white and black that reached her shoulders, her skin too was paper white and both her eyes were blood red just like mine...She too was different... But not a monster.

'Lizzy your-

'Hey there are people over there!'

Oh no the villages are coming, what would they do if they saw Lizzy? I took hold of Lizzy's arm and pulled her towards me.

Lizzy's POV

'Lizzy your-

'Hey there are people over there!'

Who is that? I can hear people coming towards us. All of a sudden Kai grabbed my arm and pulled me towards him. He put his mask back on and put his hand into a pocket and took out another mask that looked like his.

'Here put this on'

'But why?'

'Just...please do it quickly I will tell you after'

I nodded my head and quickly put the mask on as Kai had told me to, still wondering why. Kai wrapped his arms around me tightly; I could feel they were shaking slightly. What was happening? Out of nowhere a huge group of people all wearing the same mask were in front of us... Were they the villages? And if they were why are they all wearing a different mask to Kai? What was going on here?

'WHO'S THAT WITH YOU!'
