Huh wait that was Jake. I looked around and found Jake standing beside my bed out of breath.

"J...Jake..."

"P...Princess you're ok?"

"Yeah..."

"Was it that nightmare again?"

"...Mhmm *starts to cry

"Hime san... (Princess in Japanese)

Jake walks towards me and embraces me in a hug. At first im shocked but slowly I relax my shoulders and place my head against his chest. I felt him flinch.

"Thanks Jake" *smiling

*letting go of me and turning his head away from me

"Errr yeah anything for you princess" ^////^

I sat on my bed staring at the open door. I looked down at myself and saw I was in my pyjamas and my top's strap had broken. It must have caught on the bed when Jake hugged me.

"Princess i..."

"KYAAAAAA!" *BLUSHING

He looked at me and his was face went red. "s...sorry princess" and he turned around. I grabbed my pillow and threw it at him. He walked out the room and shut the door. I could tell he was still standing outside the door.

"Happy birthday princess, I see your 16 now, maybe you've grown up as well " and with that he walked away.

*blushing in embarrassment "H...HEY!!"

Jake's POV

I was walking down the long corridors of the palace as I would usually do at this time when I head the princess scream.

"AHHHHHHHH"!

I ran to her room as fast as I could. I burst through the door shouting;

'PRINCESS!!'

The princess was lying in her bed looking at me as if she didn't think I was really there.

~ "J...Jake?'

'P...Princess you're...ok *out of breath

'Yeah...' *quietly

'Was it that nightmare again?'

She pauses for a second or two then replies with 'Mhmm' before she starts to cry. I always hated these days, when the princess would dream of her mother's death. Not only does it hurt but it also hurts me inside, I hate seeing her like this. (T-T)

'Hime-san...' (Princess in Japanese)

I walk to her and embrace her in a hug and hoping it would calm her down. She hesitated at first but slowly relaxed in my arms putting her head against my chest. I smiled and looked down at her. 'Thanks Jake' she said smiling

She's so innocent >///< I let go of her and turned around trying not to laugh at her. *face goes red

'Errr yeah anything for you princess'

She sat down on her bed staring at the open door for a while. I walked to her window opening the curtains. I had just walked back to her and lent on the wall beside her.

'Princess i...'

'KYAAAAAAAAAA!' *Blushes

Oh I guess she just realised her pyjamas were broken. I couldn't help laughing silently at her. After I was kinda calm again I looked at her *face flushed from laughing

's...sorry princess'

I turned around still laughing silently at her when she threw her pillow at me. I smiled and walked out of her room, shutting the door behind me. I stood outside of her door.

'Happy birthday princess, I see your 16 now, maybe you've grown up as well" :P

I laughed and walked awayfrom her room.

Lizzy's POV

My name is Elizabeth Winters and I am the princess of the kingdom 'TAI'. (If ya thinking the name is weird well... I thought of it on the spot sooo yh) I lost my Mother three years ago and I am now 16 years old. My father is the king of TAI and can be... well let's say a bit to 'over protective' but even so I love him as he has always been there for me. Jake is my childhood friend he was always been there for me even nowadays, he is now my body guard as well I suppose as my father asked him to be one year ago. Jake has light brown hair and dark blue eyes; He wields a long spear and is called the Silent Beast. My father hates the fact that I wield two Katana's these two swords were a memento of my mother as well as my bracelet that she gave me when I was a child. These are the only things I have left so I cherish them well.

I got changed into the dress me and my father finally agreed on as he wanted me to wear pink and girly dress while I hated pink and he wouldn't allow me to have space for my Katana's in the dress. T-T (a type of Japanese sword: there will be a picture in the media thingy) We Finally agreed on A white dress with a black Ribbon and sash oh and in the dress there are two holes where I can put my Katana's ^-^

I was finally ready and went to find my fatherto ask him when Prince Alex would arrive. Alex was mine and Jakes Childhoodfriend we always stuck together when we younger. Alex had long blonde hair and darkgreen eyes. Oh and I have had an immense crush on him ever since we were little...shhhh>////<

Walking down the long corridors of the palace I finally found my Father he was talking to Jake. I started walking over to them.

"hey!"

They both stopped talking and looked at me, i smiled at them.

When I finally reached them my father gave me a huge hug.

'Happy birthday Lizzy I cannot believe you are now sixteen'

'Errr... yh thanks

He was hugging me to tight I could barely breath. Ouch.

'Ummm father... I... I can't breathe'

He looked down at me and gave me an a apologetic look.

''Sorry dear I couldn't help it you look exactly like your mum when she was your age''

Oh yeah... I forgot my father met my mum at my age. He was always going on about how I looked exactly like her. I loved to hear him say that as I knew my mother was beautiful. But I wasn't. Not with my hair I wasn't. I had once been called a monster because I had black and white hair since birth. I suppose tht wasnt really normal. I would always laugh it off with Jake, but secretly it would hurt me. As I knew I could never be like my mother.

'No I don't... but thanks anyway * I kiss him on the cheek

'Lizzy your beautiful, don't you think Jake?'

I look at him. He had a terribly mischievous grin on his face. God knows what was going to come out of his mouth. I put my hand on one of my Katana's ready to teach him a lesson if he said anything bad. He obviously saw me do this as he put his spear in front of him ready to defend himself.

'Well I know your mother was beautiful but im not soo sure about you, well I can say your certainly thicker than your mother was' *grins

I probably could've accepted the first bit but no way was I letting him call me dumb. I pulled both my Katana's and went to strike him when my father grabbed both the swords. His hands were sliced as he grabbed them blood dripping to the floor. I instantly put them back into their scabbards. (The cover thingy for a katana or just a sword... yup as ya can probably tell im not so good with sword stuff) While Jake moved his spear to the side of him.

'F...Father why did you...'

'Lizzy please do not use your weapons in the palace it is not very ladylike oh and you to Jake don't use your weapon in the palace as you may brake something or scare the people around you'

Oh I forgot it was my birthday party and people would be around the palace. Wait but it was Jake's fault for calling me dumb... I looked around me and saw that everyone was staring at me. They looked at me in disgust. I smiled back at every one of them and I could hear them whispering stuff about me.

'Ha, princess more like a demon'

'She has no right to be here she a monster'

'I cannot believe she is Queen Cecilia's daughter, they are nothing alike'

MONSTER. MONSTER.MONSTER.MONSTER. MONSTER. MONSTER. That's all anyone thought about me really.

Why, why could I hear everything they say? That's not right there too far away for any normal human to hear what they're saying. Maybe their right maybe I am a monster. But they have no right to say I shouldn't of been my mother's daughter. I believe, I should have that right at least. Right? I clenched my fist in anger. Looking at the floor trying to hide the fact that I wanted to go over there and show them what a true monster would be like.

I noticed that there was blood on the floor in front of me. Oh yeah my father cut himself on my swords. I looked up at him and he was talking to Jake again while holding his bleeding hands behind his back.

'Father ... your hands there hurt'

He turned around and looked at me. Before he could say they were fine even thought they were clearly not. I took both of his hand and took off my black sash. I ripped it into two pieces and wrapped them around both his hands trying to stop the bleeding. Once I was finished I looked up at him and smiled.

'Better?'

'Yes dear they are, thank you very much'

With that he walked away greeting new guests that had arrived. That left me and Jake together; I looked at him and was picking up his spear that was against the wall. I kicked him in the knee and he dropped his spear. I laughed.

'Ha ha that was for earlier' *wiping a tear of laughter from my eye as he was picking his spear up.

'Yh yh very funny, anyways weren't you looking for Alex, he' outside'
