As soon as I heard Jake say he was outside I ran to the door.

'THANKS JAKE!'

I ran through the door and made my way outside. I was running as fast as I could. Wait I don't even know where he is. Dammit I should've been patient and asked Jake. Well there's no point going back now.

I carried on running while avoiding all the people around, well I thought I was.

~CRASH (yh... I don't know what sound to put...help?)

I had run into someone and fallen on top of them. Oh no how embarrassing I hope it wasn't someone too important. I looked down at the person I had fallen on.

It was a man with long blonde hair tied in a loose pony tail and he had Dark green eyes. Wait no it can't be can it?

'Alex?'

'Wait did I just say that out loud?'

'Ha ha ha Lizzy I see your still the as you were back than *Referring to childhood and yes I am Alex *smiling'

'No way im so sorry I didn't recognize you well kinda didn't...err' *Scratches head

'Lizzy it doesn't matter *still laughing but I do think you should get off me now as it is attracting a bit of attention

I look around and see that people had gathered around us. I could them whispering about me again.

'What is she doing to poor Prince Alex, that monster no Demon'

'Oh my poor Prince Alex, why would she do that?'

'What is that monster doing?'

'She doesn't belong here!'

Again... MONSTER. MONSTER.MONSTER. MONSTER. IM A MONSTER.A MONSTER. SOMETHING THAT SHOULDN'T BE HERE. Why? I don't see what I have done?

I clench Alex's Shirt while gritting my teeth so I would not do anything that would break my Fathers one and only rule for the palace.' No violence' I found it very hard to stick to that rule but I won't be breaking it today. Not in front of Alex any way's.

I think Alex guessed what was happening and whispered into my ear.

'It will be alright, I'm here'

My shoulders relaxed and my grip on his shirt loosened. This was why I loved him, as I knew he would always be there for me. Maybe this was the person my mother told me about, my true love.

Alex helped me up from the ground and we both dusted off our clothes. He then linked my arm with his and we walked off leaving the crowd in shock. Once we had finally gotten somewhere nobody would see us we started laughing our heads off.

'Lizzy it's really good to see you; you know I cannot believe you are 16 now'

'Yeah it is and 'you better believe it' (you see what I did there? 'Naruto' quote yush!! >0<)

We stood there chatting for what felt like hours and I enjoyed. I wished time would stop so I could talk to him like forever. After finally catching up with each other Alex took something out from his pocket.

"Happy birthday Lizzy" *Handing me a small wrapped present.

I took the small present from him.

'Aww Alex you shouldn't have'

'Of course I should have now open it I cannot wait to see what you think of it'

I smiled and opened the small present. Inside was a small silver necklace with a white and red dragon on it. It was absolutely beautiful but... it was too beautiful for me. T-T

'Thank you Alex it is beautiful but I cannot accept it as it will not suit me as I am not beautiful'

I handed him back the necklace and smiled at him sadly.

'Nonsense of course you are now please accept it I believe it will look even more pretty if you wore it'

*blushes No Alex please don't because you have said this I now really would like to keep it. I smile with a few tears in my eyes. But he does not see that luckily.

'Very well I thank you for the gift'

'Here give it to me I shall put it on you'

I give him the necklace and turn around so he may put it on me. I was truly grateful for the gift.

'There it's done'

I turn around to let him see and do a small spin to show off my new look. We both start to laugh.

The necklace kinda reminded me of the legend of dragons. The one my mother would always tell me Jake and Alex about. We all absolutely loved that story and would sometimes sneak into my father's office to reread the book.

'Hey Alex don't you think this is kinda like the pattern on the front of the legend of dragon book'

*his face goes red and he scratches his cheek 'errm I doesn't look like the pattern because it is the pattern I thought you would like it because that book was your favourite'

*smiles 'Of course I love it thank you so much!'

Without thinking I give him hug to thank him for the gift. At first he stiff but slowly hug's me back. Before I actually know what I'm doing my face is bright red. *blushes

Alex's POV

I am really glad she likes her gift as I wasn't too sure if she would.

She right but it doesn't just look like the pattern on that book because it's the same. What should I say? I hope she doesn't mind it.

Before I could say anything else Lizzy was hugging Me.*blushes errm do I hug her back? Will she mind?... I think I should now as this may be the last time I get a hug from her... I slowly hug her back. *blushes No wait this isn't right anyway Jake should be hugging her not me....oh well it's one hug who cares.

Lizzy's POV

I can't believe im hugging him I wonder how long it will last for. I wish time would stop right now.

'So what's going here you to getting all lovey dovey or what'

Omg Jakes here. Why? He ruined our moment, Stupid Jake. Both me and Alex let go of each other and looked at Jake.

'Errr no... don't be stupid Jake I was only thanking him for my birthday gift, see *shows him her necklace

'Hmmmm...*he looks at me then Alex'

We both smile at him as innocently as we can and he finally gives up.

'*sigh very well, so you two up for training in the arena?

Both mine and Alex's face lit up. We used to always train together in the arena I have some fond memories of them there. We both said 'yes' at the same time and Jake laughed.
