Dark Spirit

"Awwwww, isn't this sweet. Gag me with a spoon!"

Morgan and Nate pulled apart to see who'd spoken. They were shocked to see who it was.

"Jimmy?"

It sure looked like Jimmy, but he'd most definitely changed.

"Who were you expecting it to be, Navi?" the spirit taunted.

He floated in the air in a sitting position, with his arm crossed and one leg over the other.

"No," she said, "but you're really getting on my nerves right about now."

Jimmy just laughed, then flew down and circled around her.

"Is that so?" he asked, clearly taunting her.

He stopped directly in front of her and looked at her, as if daring her to do something.

"What happened to you?" she asked, looking into his eyes. "This isn't you. I know it isn't."

Jimmy smirked.

"Silly little girl," he said. "This is the new and improved me. I got tired of following you around all the time, fighting for you, and having to take orders from you. What did I get out of it? Huh? I got nothing out of it. And then, when you don't need me, where do I go? Back into that stupid sword! Well, no more! From now on, I'm in charge! I'm taking over this pathetic kingdom! Soon, little miss Hero of Time will be working for me!"

He laughed maniacally. Morgan looked at Nate.

"Jimmy," she said. "That's not true. You're one of my best friends. Remember our first adventure together? If it weren't for your knowledge of indie games, I never would've made it out of the temple of spikes alive. Since then, you've always fought by my side, as part of our team. You're as much of a hero as I am. I owe you so much. You're one of us. And you know you don't have to live in the sword. Hell, if you need to, Nate and I would give you and your wife a room at the castle."

Jimmy seemed to react at the mention of his wife. For a few seconds, his gaze lightened up a bit.

"You pathetic child!" he screamed. "You don't know a goddamn thing! But, it won't matter, anyways. As soon as Hyrule is under my rule, there won't be any need for a hero of time!"

Jimmy laughed again, and vanished.

"Was that... Jimmy?" Sarah asked.

Nate and Morgan just nodded.

"It looks like this may be our toughest fight yet," Nate said.

Morgan shook her head.

"No," she said. "I can't fight Jimmy. Especially if it means killing him or sealing him away."
