Chapter two: Hero Part 1

So this chapter takes place at the same time as the last one, but it takes place in Miraculous as opposed to Paris so there will be a bit of a time difference.
Just wanted to say that.... carry on

Adrian POV
"The northern border of kingdom is safe for now but we've had increasing requests for support in the south. Along with that it would seem that some of our outlying villages in the western corner of the kingdom are still suffering from the recent drought, along with that there have been reports of patrols going missing on our eastern border with the Ryu queendom- father have you been listening to anything I've been saying? Can you repeat a single word, because from what I can tell you've just been sitting there looking out the window." I glared at my father who only gave me a dead-eyed stare in return.
"Are you finished with your report?" He asked me tonelessly. I sighed and bowed saying,
"Yes your majesty." I couldn't keep the exasperation and exhaustion out of my voice but after years of this routine I no longer cared.
"Good, you may go." He replied in that same monotone I'd come to hate. I straightened and after taking a deep breath to steel myself I asked,
"May I speak to you frankly? As a son to his father?" I winced at the cold glare he shot me. No backing down now Adrian, it's now or never. I thought as I resisted the overwhelming urge to take back my question and hurry out of the room as quickly as humanly possible. My father heaved an exhausted sigh and shifted on his throne so that he no longer faced the window. He waved a hand at me lazily and said,
"Go on, but be brief." I smiled brightly before resuming my grim expression as I noticed the annoyance in his eyes.
"Father we've been under siege because of Mayura for as long as I can remember, and it's getting worse with every passing day. When this started there were nearly countless kingdoms and queendoms to fight the scourge, now we're down to five! If there was ever a time to call for a meeting of the monarchs and work together it's now," I paused as I steeled myself once again for the outrage I was about to face if I continued and went on, "and......if ever there was a time to call forth a hero, to call for Ladybug, now may be the  only opportunity we get......"
"YOU INSOLENT CHILD! DID YOU FORGET THAT YOUR PRECIOUS HERO NEARLY OVERTHREW YOUR ANCESTORS?! YOU WILL NOT SPEAK THAT NAME IN THIS KINGDOM AGAIN DO YOU UNDERSTAND!?" My father roared as he violently shot off of his throne. It took all of my self control and power not to cower in fear at the shear force of his rage, but I stood my ground and did everything I could to keep my voice from shaking.
"I'm well aware father but need I remind you that that Ladybug is almost certainly dead, and that we are in times of crisis. Besides it's also common knowledge for our family that the first of  the Papillon bloodline was incredibly corrupt, so corrupt in fact that his own son- who may I point out was the first in our bloodline to carry the same power that I inherited turned on him and seized the throne." His glare deepened to a look of pure abject hatred and I rushed to continue, "What I'm trying to say is that with the state our world is in we can't afford to hold onto the past, not when it may be our only chance of survival." He stepped off of the dais and slowly began to walk towards me. Finally running out of courage I began to back up but it didn't take long for my back to hit the door. Dammit! I thought as panic began to take hold. He finally stopped in front of me and grabbed me by my collar.
"Now you listen and listen well boy, I am the king and you will obey me. If you're not willing to do so by choice then I'll remind you that I can see to it that you don't have one." My eyes widened in horror as his free hand began to glow a bright purple color.
"I-I understand! I won't bring it up to you again!" I yelled holding my arms up ok n surrender. He put his glowing hand down and released my collar before turning his back to me.
"Good, see that you don't," he stated coolly before adding "though calling a meeting of rulers is a good idea, see to it that it gets arranged." I nodded numbly muttering,
"Yes your majesty, I'll see to it." Then he dismissed me and I left, just like always. I walked down the hall a good length before lashing out at a nearby suit of armor. Fine if you won't get your head out of your ass and do what needs to be done, then I will.
(Time skip to that night)
I peeked at the old chapel from around a corner. I turned back and flattened myself against the wall.
"Ok Adrian, deep breaths, you can do this. Just walk up to the guards and order them to let you through, you're the crown prince, this should be easy! Ok here goes!" Once I had finished psyching myself up I put on my most dignified face and marched down the hallway towards them. The two guards who were stationed in front of the doors straightened and immediately crossed their spears in front of the doors and the one on the right called out,
"No one is allowed passed this point by order of the king! Please turn back and head in the direction you came from!" The guard next to him leaned over and nudged him.
"Nath! He knows about the king's orders, he's his son!" He hissed anxiously. The first guard, Nathanael, blanched and raised his visor.
"Prince Noir! Oh my Nooroo! I am so sorry for not recognizing you your highness! I'm still not used to looking at people through my visor!" I smiled at him empathetically and waved it off.
"It's alright Nathanael, I won't tell anyone swear," he sagged with relief as I said that but stiffened when I added, "on one condition."
"Wh-what would that be your highness?" He asked sounding terrified. I shrugged nonchalantly and calmly replied,
"Just let me through and I swear I'll never tell a soul, I mean it's not that big a deal right?" The two of them shared a 'He's kidding, right?' look before Mark, the other guard, shook his head hesitantly and stated,
"I'm sorry my lord but we can't allow that, I mean the worst thing that could happen if people find out about Nathanael's mistake is we'll be made fun of in the mess hall, if we let you through we could be put to death. I'm sorry but there's no way you're getting in here." I sighed they couldn't have made it easy could they...... I thought exasperatedly as a black glow surrounded my left hand. I held it up and the two boys froze.
"Look I don't want to see anyone get hurt but I need to get into this room, and whether or not I have to fight to do so I'm willing to do whatevers necessary. It's your choice here, I just want to be clear about this." The two of them exchanged a frightened look before moving out of the way. I nodded and just as I placed my hand on the doors to open them I looked over my shoulder and said,
"No matter what happens while I'm in here, remember, I was never anywhere near this hallway." They nodded and I went in.
