Chapter one: Perfect Life

Marinette POV
"No way Lila, no matter what you say I'm not going to believe you." I said crossing my arms.
"Oh come on Marinette! Admit it! You have the perfect boyfriend, the world's greatest parents, some pretty incredible friends if I do say so myself, and to top it off you just got promised a scholarship to your top college before you've even graduated! You, my friend have the perfect life!" I rolled my eyes at my best friend and giggled a bit before admitting,
"Well... I mean that is pretty true.... but I mean you totally give me a run for my money in the relationship department,  I mean you and Chloe are freaking made for each other." She blushed slightly and nodded a bit as her girlfriend, aka my other best friend, Chloe Bourgeois joined us at our lunch table.
"I heard my name, what's up losers?" She asked as she sat down next to Lila.
"Well we were talking about how perfect our lives/relationships are but I mean now...." Lila made an 'eh...' gesture with her hand Chloe smacked her arm jokingly. I smiled to myself as I watched the two of them bicker. I guess I do kinda have it pretty perfect huh? I thought to myself as I considered everything that's happened in my life, my arch-enemies from middle school were now my closest friends, my longtime crush Luka and I were finally together, my parents' bakery couldn't be more popular if they tried- which they had-, and in just a few years I was going to be going to be in the best fashion designing program in the country. I smiled and said,
"You know Lila, I think you're right, I've got it pretty made." Then, as if the universe was just trying to remind me of my flaws, I placed my arms behind my head and leaned back..... onto nothing, which naturally led to me falling into open air and landing on my back like a flipped-over beetle.
"GAH! Oh come on! I couldn't have gone five minutes?! Dammit!" I swore as I forced my way back upright. I glared annoyedly at my snickering best friends and shot a glare towards my apparently useless boyfriend.
"No one could've reminded me that I was going to fall? Really?" I asked them not bothering to hide how pissed off I was. My question was answered with a lovely chorus of,
"Nope!"
"Why should we?" And
"Ehehe.... sorry Marinette..." I sighed and shook my head aggravatedly before chuckling to myself and finishing my food. These guys suck sometimes but I can't say I'm not lucky.... I thought with a grin.
(Timeskip)
I walked into the bakery and was immediately bombarded with questions about my day. After answering them all, in no particular order, my father asked me if I could get some flour from the back.
"Sure thing Papa!" I said grinning before making my way to the storeroom. It wasn't a particularly creepy storeroom or anything, especially considering the fact that it was painted a nice pastel pink like the rest of the bakery, but for some reason I had a growing sense of dread as I approached the room. I opened the door and was immediately met with the familiar room filled to the ceiling with baking supplies and shelving, on this one occasion however, I noticed something unusual, something new. In the middle of the floor was a rolled up scroll with a red wax seal with a strange bug imprint in it. I had totally forgotten about the flour I'd been sent for at this point, and not even bothering to fight my curiosity I bent down and picked up the out of place paper. Feeling a slight twinge of guilt I broke the aa wax seal and felt a gust of air fill the room, then everything went black.
