It was announced that a new Avatar series is coming soon and it takes place after The Legend of Korra but there is twist. From what I heard is that the world isn't what it seems to be.

It is set is a shattered world by a devastating cataclysm. Yes this is true, makes me what Korra did to let this happen to the world. Anyway a young girl who is an earth bender discovers she's the New Avatar after Korra but in this dangerous era, that title marks her as humanity's destroyer, not savior.

Hunted down by both humans and spirit enemies, she and her long lost twin sister must uncover their mysterious origins and save the Seven Havens before civilization's last strongholds collapse.

This is exciting and yet I want to know what happened during Korra's era that cause the world to fall apart.
