First of all, I know the ending of this series is controversial. But it was always going to end this way. Quinn was never going to live long enough to see the end. Since this story was just a idea in my head, the main character was always going to die and not have a happy ending. So think of it what you will, but Quinn's story had to end somehow, someway.

And there was a reason the chapters were getting shorter and shorter-- because there was no way to make the ending longer without me trying to change it. Bittersweet and to the point was something I had to personally do to bring this story to a close because it has been such a big part of my life for so long that I was dreading finishing it.

With all of that being said, I need to thank you all. You have seen my writing at its worst and best. And you have stuck with me and Quinn until the end whether you liked it or not. I don't have the words to express how much I appreciate and genuinely love all of you!

---[Headcanons]---
1. Que (Quinn's brother) let his fellow tribute kill him. His opponent was a obvious favorite and had been an ally, and he knew that if he killed him, a ton of people in the country would hate him.
2. President Snow had District Four infected with small pox on purpose to try and eliminate the Mavericks. Athennia Maverick was the only surviving family member of Otto Samuals a run away, and Atlas had stolen from a fish warehouse and fed the orphans.
3. Orion never was married.
4. President Snow was going to poison Quinn during the Presidential party after her Victory Tour, but when Orion showed interest in her, he decided against it because it would look good for the family if Orion and Quinn were a couple.
5. During Quinn's games, Snow almost called the rest of the games off for good because Quinn had started so many riots but he decided against it.

---[Facts about Writing the Series]---
1. If Quinn had lived, she wouldn't have ended up with Orion. She would have ended up with someone like Micah.
2. This story was originally just titled Runaway Victor, about Victoria Thomas from District 12. But it was only posted for a week.
3. The plot as it is took a year and a half to create. It took a year to actually create Quinn, and the outline for her story arch.
4. The epilogue was written 7 times. The one I picked was the fifth one, and the only one from the perspective of Celestia Snow.
5. Orion almost got killed off instead of Quinn. And Quinn would have died in the attack on Capitol children. I decided against this, because I didn't want to put Quinn through another arena.
6. Quinn Maverick almost had the following names;
Victoria Thomas (D12)
Lexi Morrison (D2)
Kal Fredrickson (Male from D7)
Jennelle Drode (D1)
7. I have an entire back story for Athennia and Atlas Maverick.
8. Atlas Maverick is named after another character I have for a story that might still happen the Jabberjay that takes place during the first Games.
