Chapter 1: Hera's Blessed Legacies

(Annabeth)

The day started normally.

I woke up in the Poseidon cabin after a long night of nightmares, and Percy had already left for breakfast. I threw on one of his old shirts, as I didn't feel like changing, and ran outside.

Everyone was out and about, doing their own thing, and I ran up to Percy.

"Hey Annabeth. Feeling better?" Percy asked, kissing my forehead.

I smiled and nodded. "I'm fine. Are the others here yet?"

Percy smirked. "Not yet. But they will be soon."

I groaned. Today, Jason, Piper, Reyna, Frank, and Hazel are coming back to camp after their visit back to Camp Jupiter. And I miss them all so much. Especially Piper, Reyna, Hazel, and I's Girls Nights.

"Hey, uh, Annabeth? Could you possibly go look for Grover for me? I need to find the Stolls, because they just pranked Juniper and she is not  happy about it."

I nodded. "Okay. Fine. See you later?"

He nodded back. "Of course."

I ran off into the forest where Grover probably was. And I did end up finding Grover. But not how I expected.

"Guys?" I asked the group. They turned, and I recognized that Reyna, Jason, Piper, Hazel, and Frank were standing next to Grover. "Why are you down here?"

"Annabeth...you might wanna come see this," Hazel muttered, and turned back around with everyone else. I looked over their shoulders to see twelve children laying on the floor.

They all wore these nametags around their necks.

The first one was named Leah.

The second was named Zoelle.

The third girl was named Lara Jean (yes I totally stole that from To All The Boys I've Loved Before).

The fourth was named Marietta.

The fifth and sixth, twins, were Matt and Meggie.

The next was Bianca...oh my gods, her name was Bianca.

Another was named...Luke. Oh my gods.

The next was Griffin.

Then there were Blake and Corey, who must've been twins.

And lastly, there was Landon.

"What the..." I trailed off. The children stirred.

One, who's nametag read Zoelle, sat up. "Where...where are we?"

"Who are you?" Reyna asked.

Zoelle stared quizzically at her, and answered, "I - I don't know. I really don't. I just...recognize this area, these people, and...and you guys."

What? Oh my gods, what is happening?

Eventually, everyone sat up.

"Uh, hi. You look really familiar. Especially you," Lara Jean said, pointing at Piper.

"What?" she asked her.

"You look familiar. Just...in a weird way," Lara Jean explained.

"We need to get you to Chiron," Grover said.

"Chiron? That...that horse?" Luke asked.

Woah.

"Y...yeah," I said, confused for once. I hate not knowing things!

...

Chiron had gathered the seven and some others around the ping pong table with the kids.

"So, you don't remember who you are?" Leo asked.

Leah shook her head. "No. I remember all of these kids behind me, but that's it. And camp. Camp, and some of the people, they look familiar. Just...in a different way."

"Alright. Until we discover who you are, you'll be staying in the Hermes cabin. Alice, Julia, please show them there."

Alice Miyazawa and Julia Feingold nodded, and showed them out.

"Wait!" I called. The kids turned. "Give us your nametags. Maybe it will give us clues."

They dumped them in the middle and left with Alice and Julia.

I immediately picked one up. It was Meggie's.

Name: Meggie S.

Age: 12

Siblings: Matt S.

Hera's Blessed Legacies Society

I flipped over the card.

Twelve legacies of the godly heir

Will stop a tragedy with heartfelt care

They travel back thirty years

To face their parents' biggest fears

And if they fail to save the day

Their lives will simply fade away.

"Guys, look," I said, "It's a prophecy."

"Hera's Blessed Legacies Society? What's Hera doing now?" Percy whined.

"Nevermind that. They travel back thirty years ? They're from the future!" Frank exclaimed.

"Oh, gods."

"They're legacies?" Chiron asked. "Interesting."

"So, uh, what do we do?" Jason asked.

"See if you could figure anything out. It may take some time."

I nodded. "Okay."

I heard a gasp and a whimper on the other side of the room. Piper.

"Pipes? You okay?" Leo asked.

"Oh my gods," Piper muttered.

"Piper?"

Piper walked out of the room, stressed, like she needed a walk.

Everyone followed.

(Piper)

I think I figured it out.

And oh my gods, it was a terrifying thought.

See, I was talking to Lara Jean, and I was asking her questions.

"So, have you ever heard of charmspeak?"

"Uh...yeah. Yeah, that sounds familiar. I...don't remember knowing my parents too well. I don't remember their names, which, might have to do with this memory thing. But I don't think I could remember if I actually had my memory. But charmspeak. I remember something about my mother having charmspeak..."

It hit me hard.

Her mother had charmspeak. Only Drew and I have charmspeak. And if they're from thirty years in the future...

So my theory was basically that it was either me or Drew's kid.

Like, child. One of us gave birth  to Lara Jean.

Annabeth ran up to me and spun me around. "Piper?"

Everyone stared at me.

"I know who Lara Jean is."
