Immortal (2)

Ayla Elmas was an orphan picked up from the side of the road. The family who picked her up were not good people. They had only raised her to be their slave. As she grew up, she was put to work immediately and whenever there was a natural disaster, like a drought, flooding or earthquake, the villagers would blame Ayla and beat her. After the beating, her foster parents would throw her in the woodshed for several days without food or water.

They called her a witch and blamed everything on her because of her red hair. After 14 years of raising Ayla, her foster mother saw how lecherous her husband was looking at Ayla and took Ayla into the forest and tied her to a tree, where she left Ayla for dead.

Because of all of the wounds on her body and how weak she was from malnutrition, she didn't fight back or try to escape. She just prayed her death would come quickly.

However after she lost consciousness, a female monk found Ayla and saved her. The monk, took her back to the female temple, Asuman Temple, and nursed her back to health.

There, Ayla lived as a servant to the monk who saved her, who turned out to be the High Master Monk of Asuman Temple. Although her life there was quiet at first, she was quickly targeted by the High Master Monk's 2nd and 3rd disciples.

The 2nd disciple, Nermin, was also a transmigrater from the future. However, Nermin's first life was filled with hardship because she wasn't as talented as Ayla with magic. Nermin soon became jealous of Ayla's skills and attention from High Master Monk Ece that she began to bully Ayla. However with High Master Monk Ece's eye on Ayla, Nermin's bullying only got Nermin to be lectured and disciplined until High Master Monk Ece broke off ties with Nermin. Under great sorrow, Nermin fell to her death as she descended the mountain on Asuman Temple.

When the transmigrater woke up in Nermin's body, it was just when High Master Monk Ece brought Ayla into the temple. The transmigrater blamed Nermin's death on Ayla and promised to take revenge for Nermin. The new Nermin played with Ayla's life until Ayla fell to her death, just like the old Nermin.

Under the excuse that they did not like an outsider serving the High Master Monk and hated the attention that she got from High Master Monk Ece. Nermin tricked the 3rd disciple sister, Delick, into Nermin's schemes to bully and kill Ayla.

Ayla could not speak up to defend herself or protect herself against the two girls due to her years of abuse, so she suffered in silence and died with regret.

Her wish was to take revenge on those who wronged her and ascend to the heavens to become immortal. With immortality she could be standing with power above all and no longer have to live with mortals.

Raine reviewed the timeline and Ayla had just got beaten by a mob of villagers. They blamed her for the drought and their crops failing. One of the villagers had hit Ayla with a rock and her head was bleeding. Afterwards, Ayla's foster mother dragged her into the woodshed and locked the door. It would be later on in the night that Ayla would be dragged into the woods and tied to a tree to be left for dead.

Raine closed her eyes and began to cultivate her Natural Magic. With only her Natural Magic would she be able to defend herself. Her body was too weak and too underdeveloped to physically fight back.

Under her state of cultivation, she pushed the pain away from her mind and slowly began to heal herself with her own magic. When the moon shining brightly on the dark night, Ayla's foster mother, Livda, snuck out of the house and went to the shed. She pushed open the door as quietly as she could and left it open.

The shadow stood still for a long time before she took a blanket from the side of the shed and laid it down on the ground.

"I knew we shouldn't of picked you up from the side of the road when we found you. You have been nothing but bad luck the moment we took you in. All you had to do was work hard for us. We picked you up, fed you, clothed you, put a roof over your head and you couldn't even pay us back for our graciousness." Livda grumbled as she rolled Ayla's limp body on top of the blanket and rolled her up in it. "But no, you have brought nothing, but trouble and bad luck. You have been lazy and stubborn. And now you are trying to seduce my old man! You're nothing, but a slut! If you think that I'll let you seduce my old man, think again. It's better for you to go back where we found you!"

Although Livda was an older woman, she still had enough strength to pull the small, limp body of Ayla. Livda made her way out of her home and into the woods. She dragged Ayla's body for an hour before walking off the trail and tied her to a tree.

"Don't ever come back, or I'll kill you." Livda threatened before spitting on Ayla and walking away.

Raine opened her eyes and promised Ayla that Raine would ensure those who hurt Ayla would die a death worse than her own fate. Raine closed her eyes again and continued to cultivate. The moon set and the sun rose, letting the sunlight break through the foliage. However where Raine sat was hidden from the main trail and away from sight.

Raine could hear several people walk pass her during the day, but she didn't call to them or make any noise. She cultivated and waited for the right person to find her. It was Ayla's destiny to be saved by High Master Monk Ece, Raine would endure the pain and continue to wait, no matter how long it took. If Ayla could survive the wait, so could Raine.

The sun set and rose again two more time before High Master Monk Ece and her first disciple, Evren, stopped nearby to rest before continuing on their journey.

"I smell blood." High Master Monk Ece said as she turned towards the east. "A couple of days old, but the scent is still faint."

"Let me go look into it, Master Ece." Evren said as she turned east and walk off the trail.

Her eyes scanned the scenery for any danger before walk in further into the woods. Her eyes followed the trail of broken branches and what seemed to be dragging marks.

Evren stopped in her tracks once she saw the small girl tied to the tree. Her eyes immediately began to shed tears as she quickly ran up to the small girl. Evren's heart began to feel as if her heart was being crushed and felt that if the little girl died, Evren would lose something precious forever.

"Master!" Evren shouted as she began to untie the small girl. "Help!"

Once the small girl was untied, she fell into Evren's arms. Evren's eyes tighten with horror and anger as she saw all the wounds on the little girl's body.

With one hop, High Master Monk Ece floated into the air and quickly landed next to her first disciple and what she found. Ece's eyes tightened along with her mouth as she crouched down next to Evren and pulled out a pill from the vial that was tied on her belt. Ece placed the pill into the little girl's mouth and the pill melted instantly.

Ece then pulled out the bamboo water container and held it against the girl's mouth. With Evren's help, they made the girl swallow the water a little bit at a time.

"There's no more time to dally." Ece said while standing up. "Your departure will have to wait for another day. We have to save this poor girl first."

"Of course, Master." Evren agreed. Nothing else mattered to her than the life and death of the little girl she was holding in her arms. "You have to save her. Please."

"Come, let us go." Ece said as she held out her hand to help Evren stand up.

Evren stood up carrying the small girl in her arms. With their cultivated fighting skills, they quickly jumped into the trees and hopped from one tree to another towards their home.
