“Evren.”  Alya said softly as she looked between Evren and the new guest.  “I’m back.”

“Welcome home, Ayla.”  Evren said as she quickly stood up and walked towards Ayla.  

Evren immediately hugged Ayla and her hold tightened around Ayla.  

“Where’s Mother?  I haven’t seen her yet.  And why are you and that strange woman inside of Mother’s private chambers?”  Ayla said with her voice wavering. “Where is Mother?”

Evren held on to Ayla tighter which made her struggle in Evren’s embrace.  

“Ayla.”  Evren whispered.  

“Let go.”  Ayla shouted.  “Tell me! Where’s Mother?”  

“Ayla, please calm down.  I’ll explain everything.”

“Just tell me!”  Ayla said as she was able to push herself away from Evren’s hold and step back enough to see the worry on Evren’s face.  “Where is she?”

“Master Ece has reached enlightenment and has ascended to the heavens.  She has become an Immortal.” Evren told Ayla with a worried look “I came out of my close door training early, finishing the training ahead of schedule.”  
“When?  When she ascend?”  

“Two months ago.  She left you a letter.”  Evren told Ayla as she walked into the study and when Evren came back out, she held a letter in her hand and gave it Ayla.  

Aya’s shaky hand took the letter and brought it close to her heart.  Her eyes were watery with unshed tears.

“What are you doing here in Mother’s chambers?”  

“I have now become the next High Master Monk of Asuman Temple.”  Evren told Ayla. “This is now my room, my home, my courtyard.”

“Oh.”  Ayla said as she took a step back.  Her eyes looked back at the guest and she took another step back.  Her eyes going back and forth between Evren and Bai Yu. “It was rude of me to barge into your personal chambers and disturb you while you have a guest.  I’ll take my leave now.”

Ayla quickly turned around and before she could even walk through the door, she was embraced by Evren from behind.  

“It’s not what you think.”  Evren whispered into Ayla’s ears.  Evren closed her eyes for just one moment, letting her take in Ayla’s sweet scent, before opening them and hardening her heart.  “I’ll explain everything when I’ve settled things with Miss Bai Yu.”

Ayla could only nod slowly and leave the warm embrace of Evren.  Ayla walked like a zombie, heavy footed and thoughtlessly, back to her quarters that once belonged to Evren when she was 1st Disciple of High Master Monk Ece.  

The room was neat and clean, the way Ayla left it, when she left a year ago.  

Raine sat at her favorite place, on the rock under the peach blossom tree.  Ece’s note was in her hand as her eyes became lost with the unexpected event in her life.

“Scam System, how can this be?”  

[78% please wait… Please wait…]  

“All that upgrade and you’re still so useless!”  Raine shouted in her head at Scam System.

Raine hated unknown anomalies that couldn’t be explained.  She had let Valentin’s soul travel with her because she loves him, she wanted to spend more time with him and experience different adventures with him.  So she let him follow her in each transmigrated world, but without finding out why or how his soul traveled with her, Raine also let the possibility for other souls to tag along and travel with her.    

Raine closed her eyes and meditated to calm herself down.  She needed to gather her thoughts and her emotions together so she could finish her mission.  As for Bai Yu, Raine could crush her anytime she wanted to. She was no longer Queen Ame with no special skills.  She was now equipped with knowledge, power, skills and endurance. She could overthrow Bai Yu any day.

Ayla finally gathered her courage and opened the crushed letter in her hand and read it.

My dear daughter Ayla,

Evren has agreed to wait behind and will not ascend to heaven until the both of you can ascend to heaven together. I will think of you and miss you often.

Ayla folded the letter back nicely, pressing out the wrinkles that she made before, trying to straighten the letter as best as she could, before placing the letter back into the envelope.  

Ayla took a breath and leaned her head forward on to her arms that rested on her knees.  

“Scam System?”  Raine called out.  This time it was with patience and calm.  

[Virus ‘Tied Connection’ found.  Due to Lui Wei’s unresolved connection with Host, Lui Wei’s soul latched onto Host’s soul and was able to travel through space and time to transmigrate into a body that will be Host’s chosen ‘Last Dying Wish’ receiver's love interest or into a body that could help Host succeed each mission.

Bai Yu was originally the protagonist in her world.  However, you changed Bai Yu’s fate in ‘I Love You’ Mission.  She became a cannon fodder due to your schemes. Bai Yu is still blessed the protagonist halo which means that you, as a transmigrater, cannot kill Bai Yu on your own.

Your Golden Finger Boost does not nullify the Protagonist Halo.  You must team up with an ‘Immortal’ protagonist to suppress and kill Bai Yu.]

“The protagonist of ‘Immortal’ Mission is Nermin!  She’s already dead because of my scheme!” Raine wanted to shout at her Scam System for not being helpful.  

[Evren is also a hidden protagonist of ‘Immortal’.  Even though Evren wasn’t mentioned due to Ayla’s little connection to Evren.  Evren reached enlightenment after becoming High Master Monk of Asuman Temple and became an Immortal.

“Wait.”  Raine said as she finally realized what her Scam System repeated over and over again, however she didn’t realize those words until now.  

Her Scam System said Lui Wei’s soul, not Valentin’s soul.  But... Lui Wei… so that means that it was Lui Wei’s soul all along?  Lui Wei who became Valentin, then Silver, then York, then Nero, then Hiro and Kaiya, and now Evren.

All along it was that slag of a man, Lui Wei, who really did love her and followed her on her transmigration missions.  When she was Queen Ame, she told him she wanted to travel the world and go on adventures.

So does that mean that he tied his soul to her because he wanted to travel the world with her?  Have adventures with her? All because he loves her and couldn’t bare to go on living without her?  He didn’t want to reincarnate and lose his memories of her. Does it change her feelings for him, knowing that his original soul is Lui Wei and not Valentin?  Except for Silver, he had been everything that she needed to succeed her missions. Even when she killed him as Nero, he became someone she needed to help her succeed her mission.  

Does he know who he is all along?  Has he been pretending that he doesn’t recognize her?  He’s been silently helping her and protecting her all along.  Was it her prejudice or was it her pride that caused her not to recognize Lui Wei’s love and his soul?

Suddenly Raine felt a heavy and firm hand on the back of her head.  Fingers threaded itself into Ayla’s loose red hair and began to pat her head.  

Raine’s heart was shaken at the realization of who her lover’s real soul is.  With time, she’ll figure out her feelings and what is inside of her heart. As for right now, Bai Yu’s death is all that matters.  And she wouldn’t be able to kill Bai Yu without Lui Wei’s help.
